Captain John Fripp Villa 310, Fripp Island, South Carolina. This updated two story villa has two bedrooms upstairs (one with a king bed and one with two doubles) plus a queen sleeper sofa. There are two full baths, one on each level. Overlooking a private pool, it is an easy 50 yard walk to the beach through a manicured common garden. The villa has updated kitchen and bathrooms with tile floors and carpeting. It is located next to a second family owned villa (VRBO #52369). Inquire about rentals for both. Two bikes minimum are included with the rental.
Amenity cards are available for an additional charge entitling renters to full access to all Fripp Island Club facilities. These include two magnificent 18-hole golf courses (discount greens fees), an Olympic-size pool, an adult pool with beach bar, a family friendly Cabana Club "lagoon" water fantasy, a ten-court racquet club (court fees apply), fitness center, bike rentals, and several island restaurants. Through the island marina you can rent a skiff or kayak, join a fishing charter or book a dolphin-watch cruise. Cards cost $50 per person per week (or $12.50 daily card) Memorial Day through Labor Day and $35 per person per week the rest of the year. No cards are required for children under 12.
Renters who choose not to purchase the amenity cards can still enjoy the beach, private pool, and walking paths. A complimentary Low Country Passport card will be provided to all renters for discounts at off-island attractions (golf cart rentals, restaurants, shops).
Should you tire of the island life, historic tours are available of downtown Beaufort and St. Helena Island’s Gullah community. Attractions include many fine restaurants, golf courses and family activities. You may also hike and bike nearby Hunting Island State Park. Historic Savannah and Charleston are within a one and a half hour drive. |
