  I have been to Costa Rica before and stayed at another condo and thought this year I would do the same this time again. Let me tell you, my family and I are glad we did! Lyman and Kathleen were absolutely great with handeling all our questions. We were there at their beautiful property for 8 wonderful days! The condo was gorgeous! The internet worked great also, that was a plus! The restaurants recommended were fabulous especially Maries chicken in Flamingo! There was one we wanted to add to the list though. They had the best spaghetti bolegnese, Il' Ghiotto is the name of the Ristorante! They are located probably a 1-2 kilometers towards Flamingo on the right hand side of the road caddy corner down from the old gas station that is closed on the little upgrade headed to Flamingo. As usual the beaches are the best in Playa Conchal and Amanda was a great recommendation for riding horses on the beach! This was absolutely the best trip yet and will hopefully enjoy Lyman and Kathleens lovely condo again next year!! Till then Pura Vida!!! Gracias!!!

  Everything about this condo was perfect. We had 6 adults and one young adult and the unit seemed like it was built for us. We felt very much at home with the beautiful furnishings and all the comforts of home: great TV in each room, wonderful entertainment center in the FR, great dining table for our meals in, comfortable beds and it was great to have a bathroom for each room. Also loved Reserva Conchal; saw lots of beautiful birds, monkeys, iguanas; almost didn't need to go anywhere else to see "wildlife." Access to the Westin and to the Beach Club was absolutely ideal; we had a few meals in but were able to enjoy the great restaurants in the resort, as well as golf, tennis, fitness centers and 2 wonderful pools. It was a great vacation through and through! We will be recommending this condo to all of our friends and hope to return soon.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

  We rented this condo for a week between Chrismas and New Years and found it to be great. The spaces worked well for our family of 5 adults and two small children. The condo is spacious, well equipped, well located and well maintained. The Reserva Conchal resort offers just about every amenity. We enjoyed golf, the Beach Club for swimming (it's great for little children) and the surrounding areas for activities and meals. We went to restaurants in Brasilito and Flamingo and found them to be very good. Also, the Beach Club has excellent meals and served dinner in the condo when we needed to get the little children to bed on time. Kathleen provides wonderful advice on how to get the most out of the many options at the Resort and in the local countryside - she should be a travel writer. We would certainly return to this condo and to the Reserva.

  We stayed in the villa over Thanksgiving 2005 with our 3 children. I cannot emphasize how pleased we were with everything. The accomodations were first class. Everything is there to make you feel completely comfortable. The furnishings, window treatments, decor and electronics are wonderful. The fully applianced kitchen makes it tempting to cook but the great local restaurants drove me to choose dining out for the most part. We went fishing and caught yellow tail tuna which we grilled on the wonderful Weber grill. We rotated between the pool that is very close to the villa and the larger pool in the main complex. Our morning and evening beach walks were wonderful. Our hats off to Kathleen & Lyman for creating a vacation destination that is our top choice for a repeat visit. If you are looking for the perfect destination to bring a family that needs lots of space, likes to be pampered and really knows how to unwind, this is the place for you!

  This is a SPACIOUS villa with top grade furniture, appliances and decor. Our family of four had more than enough room to spread out, and enjoyed every minute we spent in the villa. The restaurant recommendations were very accurate and helpful, and we ate most of our dinners in Brasilito. I would not recommend eating dinner at the resort because the prices for non inclusive guests are very high. We vacation at Hilton Head every spring, and rent condos there...this condo was better than any condo that we have rented in Hilton Head! If you have a choice, pick this one...it's the best!

  We just returned from a wonderful vacation at Playa Conchal. A group of 6 traveled together: 4 adults, and 2 teenagers, and this amazingly beautiful condo served as our home base for the week. The condo exceeded our expectations in every way. The photographs of the unit on the internet are nice, but don't do it justice. The patio is large and private, with great views of the golf course, and GORGEOUS views of the Pacific! The entire condominium is very tastefully decorated, and is quite elegant. The large living room/dining room area has comfortable new furnishings, a large tv, nice stereo, etc. The bedrooms were much larger than imagined (with nice bedding), and there were 4 bathrooms in the unit as well. The kitchen was fully equipped and has new, stainless steel appliances. Having a washer and dryer in the unit made it easy to dry beach towels, etc., too. Very handy! We can only think of positive things to say about the condo, the experience we had with the owners, and also about our entire experience in Costa Rica. The unit owners take pride in their condo, spending time there themselves. It is perfect! The entire condominium complex at Playa Conchal is lovely and well-maintained. Shuttles run every half hour to the resort, or you can walk or also opt to drive your own vehicle. We enjoyed the beach and pool at the resort, and had fun dining at a variety of restaurants in the neighboring town of Brasilito. We left for day trips every other day, had a ball, but couldn't wait to return to the condo to relax in the late afternoon. There's a small pool located in the condominium complex that's perfect for a quick dip and a little sunbathing. Everything about the resort was first class. We hope to rent the condo again next year.
