Each of the four totally private and spacious, air-conditioned master suites have views and romantic ambiance in abundance. All four bedrooms have King Size beds.
Each suite has a different theme, design and decor. Each elegant bathroom offers the opportunity to indulge the fantasy of showering with a view of the sea.
The living room, dining room and kitchen are all open to the outdoors on the ocean-side of the house, which blurs the distinction between the indoors and outdoors. This is a classic example of the Vallarta Lifestyle which is so envied by much of the world.
Two of the four large and inviting terraces lead the eye to where the heated infinity pool blends seamlessly with the sparkling water of the bay below, the perfect place to savor a fine chardonnay or margarita and to watch Vallarta's famous sunsets.
Terry and Joanne, the owners, have furnished their home throughout with wonderful examples of Mexican fine art.
Because of its ideal location, "Penthouse Joannne" is constantly bathed by gentle breezes which add a sensual pleasure to the warm sunny days and starlit nights around the pool and patio.
The gentle sound of falling water comes from two charming fountains which grace the dining area and the private terrace off the master bedroom. Some people have to return a second time to see the sights of Vallarta because they never leave the house.

Why the Owner Chose South Zone
We built Penthouse Casa Joanne in 1998 because from our deck we can watch, whales and dolfins and the everchanging beauty of the entire bay. And, Vallarta has Mexico's finest restaurants, golf, surfing, sport fishing, boating and a large number of our friends live there. What's not to like?
Unlike a lot of other places, Vallarta is a real town with cobblestone streets and
a colorful history. It is not just a resort, but a real community, with a vibrant lifestyle that we find incredibly charming.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
We have fabulous views of the entire bay, from each and every separate suite and room in the property, which gives us an ideal seat for viewing Vallarta's legendary sunsets, whales and dolphins. We are close to town and yet totally private and secluded from anyones sight and sound, which allows us to enjoy totall privacy, inside the villa, and on its many decks and terraces, It's paradise for us. Joanne is a Phd Psychotherapist and published author of "Parenting is a Contact Sport. We have found that having a place in both Aspen and PV allows us to have and enjoy our ultimate fantasy lifestyle.

To start with, the owner (Terry) was both very responsive and generous with his time. From booking excursions to restaurant recommendations, it was immediately apparent that he was willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we got the most from our stay. Now, on to that part: Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay at Casa de Joanne. The location is prime; very easy to get downtown, but far enough away to feel isolated. The view is unbelievable. I have had the privilege of staying in some amazing places in my life, but I have never been so taken aback by a view before. The house itself is great, and I absolutely love how every room opens up to the outside. It literally feels like no matter where you are, you're always outdoors. The staff was very sweet, and the whole trip went without a hitch. The pictures don't do it justice. Just book it.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Hola, Terry, from paradise! We have just passed the 2 week mark and I realized I have not been in touch since our first night. I know you already know this but I would be remiss for not saying that your home is absolutely beautiful! For the first time in our internet rental experience, the pics on-line do not begin to do Casa Joanne justice. Not only the architecture and views but all of your personal touches--the artwork, sculpture, special pieces. We really feel like we have been invited to stay in a very special place. Your staff is as advertised. Rosario is darling and taking good care of us. Alfredo has been very helpful and had to make a couple of housecalls (which I'm sure you heard about). When he came to wash dishes yesterday because the dishwasher was out, I tried to tell him he was a true Renaissance man (but I think it got lost in translation!). Tom is now following Alfredo's margarita recipe and it could be the downfall for both of us! Mariela is preparing wonderful meals and altho we are walking the hills on a daily basis, I think the calories are winning! Lalo is always helpful (and provides a bit of translation when we need it). We met your partner, Bill, at Barcelonas Tapas and over what he insisted was a drink on the house, he sang your praises. We told him we would definitely be trying your restaurant the Agave Grill for dinner and a tequila tasting during our stay. That's it for now. Just wanted you to know if you ever need a reference for this home, you can count on me (unless it interferes with when we want to come back!! Best from PV, Marian
