This cottage is located on small spring fed lake. The lake is shallow, which means it heats up in the early summer & cools in late fall. This makes it ideal for swimming/water-skiing. There is an extensive sandy beach, 40 feet from the cottage. Beside the beach is a paved patio which includes an enclosed outdoor fire.
The cottage has a large wrap around deck, with a BBQ and a natural gas outdoor heater included, 16 deck chairs and two tables on the deck. From the deck you walk into a six person hot tub spa. The cottage is spacious, with a natural gas fire place in the living room which overlooks the lake. There is a cupboard full of board games, also included is a canoe, paddle boat and a wind-surfer. Bed sheets and towels need to be brought with you (1 Queen, 2 double, 6 single beds).
The cottage is 5 minutes from Awenda Provincial Park includes cross country skiing and camp site, Saint Marie among the Hurions and Wye Marsh, and numerous ski hills. A snow mobiling trail runs beside the cottage, ice fishing also is very popular in December to March on Georgian Bay 5 minutes away.
There are many fine restaurants in the local towns of Penatanguisne and Midland.
