If you want to rent a getaway from it all, this would be the place to come to. We rented this property with another couple and with all rentals did not know what to expect. This was by far the nicest place I have rented in a long time. Everything was clean and the beds were great. The views of Lake Ontario were calming and each day the water was in a different position. The weather was great this time of year in Niagara Falls, we did have a little rain, but otherwise it was great. The owners were very helpful in letting us know restaurants and such to visit while we were there. The two dogs they have are Rainbow and Sunshine and are the sweetest dogs in the world. I just had to buy them dog treats while we were there. They also had any cooking items you might need, we cooked on the grill, breakfast every morning on the stove, we also cooked a roast one day while we were out visiting Niagara Falls in the crockpot. They have a tennis court, b-ball hoops, playsets for any children you may bring with you, kayaks and a long driveway to talk morning of afternoon walks. It really was a very pleasant vacation and maybe one day we will return there. There is also a $1.00 bill hidden in the house and we kept that going with a new hiding spot, that was fun to find. An absolutely wonderful place, right on the water of Lake Ontario, fantastic views, the lake changes from mirror still to wild and furious, great place to launch a kayak or canoe. The house is perfect, very clean, well stocked, great for several couples, the upstairs bedroom with a small kitchenette with the view of the lake is awesome, with 2 more bedrooms upstairs with a bath, then 2 bedrooms and bath downstairs. Downstairs brick floor and barn wood walls add such warm character, and then there is that view of the lake, very hard to leave. Throw into all this the kind, warm, gracious owners, willing to help with anything you might need, directions to the store or pizza place, information about the best fishing in the area...which is great...yet not there to bother you. We have been here 2 years, 2008 & 2009, first year 3 couples, next year 2 couples, and really wish we could go back this year, but will have to wait til next year. Lots to see and do in the area, many farm stands of local produce and fruit, every one friendly, no traffic and rush of city life...each year it gets harder to leave. The fishing at Olcott, the pier at the marina and down below the dam, has been very good both years, end of Sept/first of Oct. We highly recommend this vacation home, a wonderful place to visit.

The house was great. We had nine in our family and there was ample space. The view of Lake Ontario was beautiful off the back deck. The location was close to Niagara Falls and Canada. There were fresh fruit orchards everywhere and we really enjoyed the apples, plums and cherries. Overall, our family had a memorable vacation.

My husband, myself and our black lab "chevy" had the pleasure of staying at Susan and Tom's wonderful vacation home last October. We had been vacationing for a week every Oct. in upper NY but this was the first year we stayed at Susan and Tom's. Let me just say... we will never stay anywhere else again! The place is awesome! They are the sweetest people too and their beautiful goldens, Sunshine and Rainbow, are the icing on the cake. We had two other friends join us and they were just as pleased and none of us wanted to go home! We already booked two weeks for next year... can't wait! Thank you for your generous hospitality and your kind nature. Between the home, the hosts and of course the scenery we could not have asked for more. Thanks for a blast!! -Traci, Randy & Chevy Fritz

Our experience at the vacation home turned out all that was promised and more! The house was beautiful, clean and spacious, the beds and bathrooms comfortable and the view ovelooking Lake Ontario from two of the bedrooms and the living room simply outstanding! We saw beautiful sunsets, threatening looking waves and water as still as a mirror; the view changed constantly. My husband and I were joyned by my brother, his wife and two daughters from Germany, as well as by our son and his wife, and we had plenty of room. Our pug enjoyed the room to take long walks and exploring the pond on the property, and he especially liked the owners' two Golden Retrievers. The owners could not have been more gracious and helpful. There are many places to see, especially Niagara Falls and other tourist attractions, and nice restaurants. You do need a car! Our stay was great and we can warmly recommend the property.
