This beautiful property is located on the North Shore of Oahu about ten minutes south of Laie. The home sits on the oceanfront protected by its own sea wall. A beautiful uncrowded white sand beach is just steps away. Thanks to the large coral reef about a mile out from the shore, our beach front is an excellent place for swimming,snorkeling,kayaking,viewing turtles and other sealife, or Beach combing.

The home has been in our family for many years. It is a vintage Hawaiian beach house that has been kept very close to its original style. There have, of course, been upgrades to provide comfort and convenience to its guests. It is tastefully decorated "aloha" style, is clean, and very comfortable. Our favorite room of the house is the large lanai with its wall of picture windows that provide a panoramic view of the ocean, sunrise, and if your lucky, the moonrise. The kitchen opens to this area and is equipped with all your cooking needs. Enjoy your meals at the breakfast bar/island, in the dining room, or on the covered deck off the kitchen.

The living room provides a queen sleeper sofa and can be closed off for privacy. The bedrooms each have double beds and closets. There are two bathrooms. One is located inside between the two bedrooms and the other is outside. It includes an enclosed open air shower (a favorite of our guests) with a fully enclosed changing room, toilet, and sink. There is also a soaking bathtub located outside in a private area of the yard with hot and cold running water to enjoy a soak under the stars. We hope you enjoy the house as much as we do!

We also have available a condo on the same beach located at Pat's of Punaluu. It is a 1 bed/ 1 bath unit and also includes a sleeper sofa. This unit is on the 4th floor with a nice ocean view. The cost for this unit is $125.00 per night.

  • The home is very nice! We really enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful. the deck is great to sit and watch the sunrise. Every dinner we had at the house was outside on the lanai. awesome views all around! You can snorkel right behind the house. We had turtles swim by every evening. we all hated to leave. I do not believe you will be disapointed if you stay at this house. The only negative really would be lack of A/C. It's on the windward side of the island so its a bit humid. that would be the only reason i could think of to not stay there again next year!   • What a wonderful stay we had at your beach home!! We loved everything about it. The outside shower was the greatest. We stayed 2 weeks from June 15th to the 29th. It was our 3rd trip to the island and we hope to stay here again. It was very clean and kept up very well. What you see in the pictures is what you get and better.

  • Spent the second week of Feb 2006 at Hale Kamani. Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Our boys enjoyed snorkelling and throwing a football along the beach. Outdoor shower was great. Would recommend.

  • Our family spent eight wonderful days at the beach house. We were fortunate to be there over the Christmas holiday and it became just like home to us. We enjoyed the location on the island and ofcourse with the ocean at our back door. We snorkeled, took in the sun and read alot on the deck while looking for turtles enjoying the view. Our favorite things about our visit are the sunrises and outdoor shower. What a treat! Thanks for letting us share in this piece of paradise. We have already told many friends and co-workers, we just hope there will be space when we are ready to reture to Hale kamani!

  • 10-10-05 Our stay at this cottage was wonderful! Walking right out our back door onto the ocean was an incredible experience. We snorkeled, swam, took the raft to the breakers. We spent endless hours outside simply soaking up the calm and beauty of the atmosphere. There were numerous nights that my husband and I stood out under the enormous sky gazing at the stars, just listening to the waves. The house is so cute and comfortable. The outside shower is fabulous! There is nothing like showering outside under a palm tree in the Hawaiin warmth. We BBQ'd, played Scrabble, and dined on the covered lanai. Even when rain came to visit, we were able to be outside in our swimsuits. I could have gotten off the plane, driven staight here and been content to hardly go anywhere else for the entire week. I didn't want to leave and definitely want to return. Thank You!!

  • We have rented many vacation homes before, a couple in Hawaii. We both agree that is by far our favorite of them all. It was so peaceful at night to sit and star gaze while listening to the ocean. We practiced nightly hot soaks in the outdoor tub and long walks on the beach. During the day, we woke to a beautiful sunrise and had a leisurely morning playing in the ocean while the tide was low. Sea turtles were a daily visitors and twice we saw a group of white spotted eagle rays. The binoculars provided hours of entertainment for us. After the tide came in we went to some of my favorite beaches for the after noon, which are only a short drive from the house (three tables, sharks cove). In general the house was clean, quiet and relaxing. It had everything we needed to allow us to be home bodies and truly forget our daily worries. We would definitely return! I was wondering what the weather and the tides are like during the winter months? We were thinking of returning sometime between January and March. Thanks for everything, Alexis Daniel & Michael Hopp

  • This was a wonderful beach house, lovely oceanfront with a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable. It is conveniently located to the beautiful Northshore. It was perfect for a honeymoon getaway. The only drawbacks are no queen size bed in either bedroom and the loud traffic on the Kam Highway.

  • This is the second time we have stayed at the beach house in three years. We just love it! We are a family of four with two sons 16 & 20. This is perfect for us as we get the privacy we want, yet can be together. The accomodations are excellent. We have stayed in many beach houses before, and this is one of the best. You will enjoy the scenary, the closeness to the North Shore, and the serenity of the Island. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

    Rhoda, We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed staying at your beach house. The kids loved being able to run out the back door and be on the beach. I think that we could have stayed at the house and done virtually no sight seeing and the kids would have been just fine. My oldest son and I also enjoyed snorkeling right there. You might want to add some emphasis on your web site as to how good the snorkeling is. As far as the house goes, it was perfect for our family. Just the right size and everything was in great order. Our only regret is that we cannot take the family there every year. Maybe someday in the future we can make that happen. Thanks again for providing a wonderful retreat for us. Jimmy Thornton
