We chose this condo for the location and were not disappointed. Situated on a great shelling beach with magnificent sunsets (and no highrise buildings on the horizon which condos on beaches closer to the Sanibel lighthouse may experience). It was close to amenities (but not so close as to feel commercial) and the complex is beautifully landscaped. Convenient to bike rentals and bike trails. Inside, the owner has provided all the comforts, from high-count sheets on the King bed (nice view from master bdrm too) to useable pots, pans & tupperware in the kitchen--even flashlights and a cooler. The only issue that keeps me from grading this condo up to “excellent” was the fact that it is not on the top floor (thus the noise from the condo above & voices carrying were distracting) and the photo-though completely accurate for the front view--does not give one a sense for all the condos on either side, leading down to the beach. This is a large complex. The lovely landscaping and view of the pond compensated, however. Would highly recc to families and those used to condo-style living.

We were very hesitant to book a trip through VRBO as all our past vacations had been booked through a travel agent. A friend had been telling me about VRBO for a year. The site was user friendly and we were fortunate enough to locate this particular condo at Pointe Santo. Pointe Santo is 30 minutes from Fort Meyers. The management company was less then 1 mile from the condo and they made the process easy, as checking in and only took less then 3 minutes.The condo and complex was amazing. The condo its self was beautiful, spotless and fully stocked. You had ocean views from every room except the guest room. You are steps from the Gulf and pool. Designated parking was provided and it was directly in front of the room. To simply sum it up all you need to bring is sunscreen. The owner, Sharon was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The only concern was trying not to run over turtles in the parking lot. We made life long memories with our family and will be back next year. This is a must book. Thanks for everything Sharon.

You have a fabulous appartment - so tastefully furnished and well equipped!! We had everything we needed and more! I felt spoilt!! It was so clean and well maintained! It was even nicer than the photos! You just have to be there! I loved it! Felt at home straightaway You have done a great job We hired a car and bikes I just loved being on the beach and hearing the sea, enjoying your balcony for brekki Thank you so much I would love to get back at some point and would definitely recommend it!!

My husband and I recently stayed at this property with our two young children. The condo is spacious, very clean and has all the amentities of home. The views are spectacular and there is so much to do. We spent time at the beach and at the pool and the kids LOVED it! It was a great mix of people too, young and old. Not to mention the fact that we saw the resident alligator in the pond, which our 4 yr. old thought was the coolest thing ever, cow-nosed rays and dolphins in the ocean, and a bunch of different birds. We are already looking forward to going back next year!

Perfect Getaway

All the comforts of home (clean 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, laundry, etc) with the added bonus of a pool, ocean views, steps to the beach and a clubhouse with daily activities for all ages. Centrally located close to restaurants, grocery store and attractions - no car needed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our January week in Sanibel in this unit. It was well equipped, beautifully decorated and every convenience was there. It was an awesome experience from the making of the reservation to final departure. Just wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Great time at Pointe Santo. The listing description was accurate. The Condo was clean, updated and very comfortable. The owner was helpful and very accommodating. The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing at the pool and walking the beach and riding bikes around the island. It was all we had wanted and hope to return.

The Cloghessy Family Condo On Sanibel Island

Want to get away for awhile? Would you like to escape and relax? How about leaving the cell phone, computer and all that stress for a week or more? If so, we have a recommendation for your consideration and it follows. On your first morning at Pointe Santo, plan for coffee on the balcony overlooking the gardens, lake, pool, jacuzzi and the gulf beach -- guaranteed you'll be there until lunch. The view from this balcony is serene, relaxing and absolutely gorgeous! This view is only surpassed by the beautifully decorated and well maintained condo with all of its amenities. The family provides a notebook with recommendations for places to eat and things to see and do. We found this to be very helpful, so be sure to review this well prepared document. There is so much to enjoy. This total experience provided us with a very memorable vacation. We recommend this family home without any reservations. You will want to return! the unit we stayed in has been updated, and is fully stocked with amenities, untinsels, beach towels, movies, etc the complex is located right on the beach, with easy access to both the pool and the ocean The shelling on the beach is some of the best in the world lots of good resturants close by all good food, from casual to fine dining this is our secound visit, with nothing negative

We had a wonderful time here. First class all the way!!!! The condo is incredible. Views you could never get tired of. The complex is immaculate in every way. Everything was easy and simple. Just bring your necessities and thats it!!! Its all here!!!! The weather was perfect,and it truly is paradise here. We stayed 1 week and never went to the same restaraunt twice!! SO much to do,so much to see here!!! We highly recommend this wonderful experience. We hope we can come visit again soon!!!!

Our family stayed at Pointe Santo in October. Everying was perfect! We can honestly say that traveling for 42 years Point Santo was one of our favorite places. The condo had everything you would need and was spotless. Not one negative thing could be said about the vacation. Our family would recommend Pointe Santo to everyone. Great week on Sanibel - LOVE to go again!!

We would love to go back to Sanibel - what a beautiful island!! Our condo C36 was wonderful. The screened porch was our place to hang out after coming "home" after dinner. The view of the palm trees and lake looked like a post card scene! It was a couple minute walk from our condo to the picture perfect CLEAN beach. They are not lying when the say this is the sea shell capital - WOW! We loved the fact that there were beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, sand toys, etc for our use. The drying rack on the porch was very handy. (Make sure to bring or buy water shoes, some of the shells are sharp to walk on.) The condo was very well maintained. I could not believe how BIG the master bath was! The pictures do not do it justice. Our 10 year old son loved his own little suite - his bedroom had its own door into the second bathroom. He had the added bonus of being able to watch TV in bed - he doesn't have that at home! Pointe Santo is very close to Periwinkle Way where we ate at some wonderful restaurants. Go to Island Cow and Hungry Herron!! We drove up to Captiva one day, try the parasailing - that was a great time. I would recommend C36 to everyone! Anyone we had as wait staff at restaurants, shops, etc were friendly - we never felt like tourists, just another family of beautiful Sanibel Island. I would stay at C36 again in a heartbeat!! Thank you so much to the owners for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home!!

Sharon: We recently had a wonderful stay at your Pointe Santo condo. We have been home now for over a week and still talk about Sanibel every day and all the fun we had on the island. Biking, kayaking, tennis, a spring training game, Doc Ford's and just laying out & walking on the beach. We finished everyday on your lanai enjoying the gulf breeze and lovely view. Hopefully we will be able to return soon.

We had a wonderful time once again at Pointe Santo C36! It's a beautiful place to stay, in one of our favorite places in Florida! The weather wasn't too cooperative, but that didn't deter us! We had a great time, and we hope to have many more pleasant stays there in the future! The condo is a very welcoming place and we were made to feel right at home. We always take our bikes and just park the car. The sunsets from the beach are wonderful too! We'd highly recommend Pointe Santo C36 to anyone who is looking for a fabulous place to stay. This was our 5th return to Pointe Santo but our first to c-36. The condo was beautifully appointed with every gadget in the kitchen known to man (or woman)! Everything was new and well maintained. I especially liked the vaulted ceiling in the kitchen. We spent many afternoons with a cocktail on the screened in balcony. The view of the gulf, lagoon and local wildlife made us feel a little like this wasn't really happening to us! I kept my eyes full of the multicolored habiscus bushes instead of our foot of snow at home! There is a reason we already re-booked for 2010. You must come and see for yourself. Oh, and a little touch of family was added when Sharon (owner) called to see if were alright because she heard we may have had a weather alert. (never happened) but it was nice to know we were being taken care of that many miles from home. Thank you Sharon and family for providing a little piece of paradise! Laurie mahen

This is a wonderful property. Well maintained, well equipped and best of all clean and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked and there is extras for the kids to enjoy...like games and DVDs.The condo is located right next to the Gulf of Mexico and you can hear the waves when you go to sleep. Great shelling on the beach. Nice pool and hot tub.

This is my 3rd trip to Pointe Santo C-36 and this is the perfect vacation condo. Its fantastically clean and modern. The bathrooms and bedrooms are well lit and well laid out. Its easy to see the owners truely want your vacation experience to be a home away from home. If you like to entertain "in" while on vacation, the kitchen has all the amenities you need and there are grills on the grounds for guests use. Plenty of clean fresh towels and beach toys are provided and the beach is visible from the lanai and only a 2 minute walk from the front door. For the active guests, bikes are easy to rent and everything from groceries to dining to sightseeing can be done on bike from this very centrally located condo.

This unit is very nicely decorated and kept in excellent condition. Even the guest bath was decorated with beautiful stencils of fish. There were plenty of dishes and cookware- you could cook any kind of meal you like! The owner of the unit is very hands-on with care and maintenance. She treats you like an old friend! The property is very well maintained and the courtyard area is inviting and attractive. The beach was just steps away, and there were lots of shells everywhere. Even a novice should be able to find something nice. The island is easy to navigate and there is plenty of shopping and dining nearby. What a great place to spend time with family and friends!

To tell you the truth, I looked at so many condos on line when I was looking for one, and PS36 was the ONLY one that I thought I would like, based on the furnishings, etc. Your condo is lovely, with just the right amount of tasteful beach decor, and so comfortable.

We enjoyed our week of sun, beach, shelling. The condo was very nicely appointed, well-equipped, and located right next to Tarpon Bay, known for excellent shelling. We took day trips to the Everglades where we took an eco-tour and saw incredible numbers of wildlife and learned about the habitat and changes as a result of the salt/freshwater concentrations. We also went to North Captiva which was guided by a former Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation member and learned a tremendous amount of info about the area. Those were our highlights but we enjoyed relaxing, shopping, and dining out. Thanks for a sharing the condo. It was a great resting place.

This is a very nice condo and is exactly as pictured on the website. The condo is very clean, the bedding and towels are crisp and new. You won't feel like you're a guest in someone else's home, you will feel as if the condo is your home by the end of the week. The master bath is extra large and features double sinks and a large walk-in shower. I would rent this unit again.

Spring Break 2009 was absolutely wonderful at C-36 on beautiful Sanibel Island. This was our first trip to Sanibel. The extra touches that the owners give are a definate plus. The condo was beautiful and the view was breathtaking. Our children enjoyed the craft activities at the club house and shelling on the beach.
