The house is a contemporary, with extensive glass. It sits on a landscaped acre facing the lake. There are over 2900 sq feet in the house. There are approximately 1000 sq feet of decking on two levels. The main common areas have vaulted ceilings. The main living room has a central fireplace.
There is also a formal dining room in addition to the eating area off the kitchen. You have three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with 2 twin beds and 2 full futons). One bedroom is on the main floor and 2 are on the upper floor. There are two bathrooms (one with a tub on the main floor and one with a shower on the upper floor). There is an enclosed and heated porch off the main floor.
There are two wet bars. One on the main floor and one in the hot tub room. Deck and beach chairs are available. Linens are provided, including towels. There is a central stereo system, TV DVD, and VCR. A gas grill is provided for outdoor cooking. No pets allowed.
In the winter, from your door, you can cross country ski and snowmobile. You can go directly onto the lake and get Snow Mobile Route 11 at the north end of the lake (maps are available at the Marina). You can X-country ski in the state park or on the lake. There are over a half dozen ski areas within 15 to 60 mins (Ragged Mt, Tenney Mt, Waterville Valley, Loon, Cannon, Gunstock and Highland Ski areas. Gunstock, and Highland Ski areas also provide night skiing).
In the summer, there is an excellent shared beach(we are one of six owners of the common beach lot) with a swim platform and boat area. Water ski, wind surf, fishing, or canoeing are common activities. Newfound Lake is one of the cleanest lakes in the nation. You can see to the bottom in 50 feet of water. There is a hiking trail just across from Wellington State Park's entrance.
If you are somewhat more adventurous, you can hike out the door and up the trail behind the house. Bearing right or left as the trial approaches the cliffs is the easiest way to connect to the main trail. Or take a short drive to Mt Cardigan's base lodge for a half day hike up and down the mountain. There are also over a half dozen golf courses in the area.
