Nestled in the trees down a private driveway this 3 year old Cape is located fifty feet from Lake Ashumet and a sandy beach. Wake to the beauty of the water from all south facing windows, including the great room and the kitchen/dining area. The lake has excellent fishing for Trout and Bass. It is almost 60 feet deep in some places. Also there's lots of room for swimming,water-skiing. Canoeing and Sailing.(See ** for more options)

The main living area consists of a 24' by 40' foot combination great room and kitchen/dining area with cathedral ceiling and skylights. Two sets of sliders lead to a 28' foot deck overlooking the water. There are three bedrooms on this level with two baths.The bed layout is 1 Queen,1 full,1 set twins.The second floor has a 20' by 20' foot loft with a balcony overlooking the living area. There is a Queen sleep sofa in the loft with great views as well. There is also a crib available on-site.
Also there is a 20' by 40'foot semi-finished walkout basement at ground level with three sets of sliders, and a 28 foot deck overlooking the water. The upper and lower decks face south for sun lovers. There is a 4' by 16' dock for swimming and boating.There is a canoe and rowboat for you to enjoy,and there is some fishing gear for your use. Warm water ocean beach (Southcape) is only 15 minutes away.

Year Purchased: 2004
My Wife and I (I've been widowed since 1996)spent most of our lives on the South Shore of Boston.We spent a lot of time on Cape Cod and really loved it.The Capes' natural beauty and of course being near the ocean and/or on a lake was the big draw for us.Our retirement dream was to live full time here.And when the Kids come to visit they love it here as well.
I've been in the rental business for over 20 years and work hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible.Thanks for considering us.
Why the Owner Chose Mashpee
We had always thought living directly in the Ocean would be ideal.However we fell in love with the Lake in Mashpee the moment we saw it.The Lake is much safer for small children and is only steps from the house.And freshwater fishing is much more fun if your fishing with small children.Also Southcape Ocean Beach is only a short drive if we chose to go there.
The Unique Benefits of this Single Family House
The open floor plan design of the house makes it very comfortable and easy to get around.The breeze coming off the Lake in the summer flows thru the house and is very refreshing.Also the waterviews off the back deck are really very pretty.The location is great being near all the shops at Mashpee Commons,Southcape Beach,Excellent Restaurants and nearby attractions such as Plimouth Plantation,the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock,The Amusement Center and the many Golf courses etc.

Hi Bill, Just wanted to tell you what a wonderful vacation we had.The house was beautiful and we felt very comfortable there.The Lake was so nice and David and the boys loved the fishing.His new canoe received a good workout.We also did a lot odf sightseeing and really loved Cape Cod.We would definately vacation there again some time.
