"Sunrise Tellin" is a two bedroom, two bath, oceanfront home located in the heart of colonial Hopetown, an 18th century village on the island of Elbow Cay. The renovated antique main house has colorful Bahamian furnishings, a large living room filled with local artwork; and in typical 19th century Bahamian style, an outdoor deck separates the well-equipped kitchen and formal dining room from the main house. The new "Sunrise Tellin Guest Cottage" is a one bedroom, one bath home with a living/dining area, galley kitchen, and a balcony overlooking the ocean. Both homes have space at our nearby, private dock.
From the backyard of these homes you can swim, snorkel, fish and watch the morning sun rise over the ocean. Waves crashing against the shore and dolphins playing around the barrier reef complete the idyllic setting.
Often described as a pastel colored, New England fishing village, Hopetown has become the Bahamian destination of choice for the discerning traveler. Its fine restaurants, good grocery stores, and interesting shops are only surpassed by its genuinely kind and friendly population. |
