Welcome to The Surf! A five bedroom vacation rental house and carriage house built in 1998 on the beach with views unobstructed by buildings of the naked beauty of the Gulf of Mexico with a private beach access and pool that can be heated. It's located in a gated community on Longue Vue Drive, off scenic Highway 30-A, south Walton county, Florida.
But if you are looking for a spotless, superbly maintained, Hilton-like hotel with thick new towels and complementary robes SEEK SOMEPLACE ELSE!. It is, however, usable and the towels and sheets have been washed (if they are not exactly unblemished). We allow pets so you may find a dog hair or two even though the house has been cleaned. If this would bother you GO ELSEWHERE. We do not allow smoking but some renters do it anyway. We apologize if you find evidence of this. You can see the emerald green to sapphire blue water of the Gulf of Mexico from the living area and the main deck but due to the height of the dune bluff upon which the house sits you can only see the actual white sand beach from the end deck of the private dune walkover and from the upstairs deck off the master bedroom and sitting room. If this is a problem TRY ANOTHER PROPERTY. Still, the main house has three bedrooms on the second floor and one on the ground floor. The master bedroom on the second floor has a king bed and a separate sitting room and has a porch that overlooks the dunes and beach. The second bedroom on the second floor has a king bed and overlooks the pool. The third bedroom on the second floor has four bunk beds. The fourth main house bedroom is on the ground floor and has a king bed and overlooks the pool. The carriage house has a second floor kitchen, living room and bedroom with a queen bed and overlooks the pool and Gulf.
All bedrooms have cable TV and a VCR or DVD. There is an older iMac and free wireless internet by DSL router. There are also free long distance calls in the USA. There is a gas grill and in the garage are some bikes and various pool floats and folding chairs. For more info call to get info to our other website or click below where it says '"Click Here" for photos and more information'.
Walk to Rosemary beach for shopping and dining or take a short drive to play tennis or golf! Or use the bikes provided to take a ride on the bike trail along scenic highway 30-A. You will love it!

Our family has stayed at The Surf for 4 years. The home sits in a perfect location between Rosemary Beach and Seacrest. It is a gated community and the home is at the end of a cul de sac. The home is spacious and has amazing views of the ocean and beach from the upstairs balcony. We enjoy lunch outside on the large patio table overlooking the emerald waters and love the deck chair overlooking the ocean! The sunsets are incredible. It is in an upscale area and the owners are very easy to work with. The home is large enough for several families to easily stay with bathrooms easily accessible to each room. The pool is in between the guest house and the main house and has many patio tables and chairs for easy entertaining. This home has been our favorite family vacation for many years. We highly recommend it.

This house had everything! The private beach access was amazing. The house came with bikes that we would use to go to the Rosemary Beach town square and watch local artists or get some ice cream in their Willy Wonka-like ice cream shop. The pool was fantastic. Grandma and Grandpa stayed in the smaller house, while the kids and grandchildren stayed in the main house. The kitchen was well stocked, and we didn't want for anything. We truly loved this home!
