Beautiful two bedroom, two bathroom, oceanfront condominium perfectly located within a short walk to downtown and the boardwalk for all of your shopping and dining needs. It is also just a short walk over to the Carolina Beach Lake Park, which has a beautiful lake with a paved jogging trail around the lake for great walking, jogging, bike riding, etc. Enjoy the quietness of a small complex, located on a quiet one way street, versus the noise and crowds in larger complexes.
The unit is on the second floor for convenience from the covered, assigned parking below, but offers a perfect panoramic view of the beach and ocean in all directions from the spacious balcony. The balcony is well appointed with two rockers and a balcony height table w/four chairs for outdoor meals. The interior has recently been updated by the owner who is a professional interior designer and the exterior was also recently painted for a fresh look.
The kitchen has recently been completely renovated featuring all new cabinets, granite countertops, and premium grade stainless appliances (most condo kitchens in CB are 20+ years old). The dining table is amply sized for seating up to six and is located in the kitchen area for convenient clean up. There is a stackable washer/dryer unit in the utility closet right off the kitchen. This rental is located at 705 Carolina Beach Avenue South in Carolina Beach. This is a No Smoking and No Pets property.
Extras include a 27' LCD TV in the living area with DVD player, brand new stereo system with CD, Ipod dock, and audio cable, high speed wireless internet access, TVs w/DVD(master)& VCR(twin) in both bedrooms, and brand new mattress sets in the both bedrooms for a comfortable night's sleep. There is a queen pullout sofabed in the living area for additional sleeping arrangements. Linens are available for an extra fee.
The jacuzzi styled pool is perfect for children and for adults looking to cool off after being on the beach, and is never crowded. Check-in for weekly stays during Prime season is on Saturday. The beachfront area in front of the building is as nice as any in Carolina Beach being wide (even at high tide), never crowded, and has a lifeguard stand within 50 yards.
All reservations are made through a local rental manager for your convenience and service and are subject to a $40 reservation fee and applicable taxes. Optional coverages include travel insurance and an accidental damage deposit waiver.
The town of Carolina Beach is conveniently located within a 20 minute drive of the City of Wilmington, which has significant shopping, dining, nightlife, points of interest, and historical significance. It is also within a ten minute drive of the Fort Fisher Historical Site, the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, and the Fort Fisher-Southport ferry. Carolina Beach was also the recipient of the 'Blue Wave' award recently given to the country's cleanest beaches and ocean waters.

We had a wonderful time in Carolina Beach, despite the weather. Mel's condo was clean, on the ocean, and within walking distance to many activities. Our daughter and granddaughters came down to visit us while we were there. They enjoyed being able to run onto the the beach and tackle the waves even though the ocean temperature was only 55 degrees. We could walk to the lake where the girls enjoyed roller skating and skootering. We were also withing walking distance to restaurants, the coffee shop and Britt's donuts. Caolina Beach State Park is just a short drive--great for a hike. We also drove out to Ft. Fisher and took the ferry over to Southport. What a neat little town. Be sure to visit the Christmas Tree Shop if you have youngsters--lots of neat toys, games, puzzles, books, etc.--even a candy dept. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'll certainly be back--hopefully next Easter vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family has yet to stay in a particular condo twice and every time we go on vacation, as we near our "home for the week," I start worrying . . . "What if the keys aren't there, what if it's not as described, what if . . ." This condo and beach have been the best surprise yet! Everything was clean, everything worked, great ocean view, great (clean) beach. We felt at home here. So often, the bathtub drains in condos are slow, not here! I hate taking a shower in standing water. We built several of the puzzles in the closet, Zingo is one of our favorite games (our kids are 6, 3, and 1) and had actually brought it with us. Our older girls loved Jenga. The kitchen was well stocked. We ate most of our meals in the condo and had every utensil/ dish we could need. We hope to stay here again in the spring!!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

First and foremost, LOCATION!!! This property has the perfect location on a quiet oneway street, yet close to everything you need! The condo is very nicely stocked with cookware, and is very tastefully decorated. Each mattress was comfortable. The deck is also super large with two rocking chairs and a nice size table with chairs! We spent two weeks there, but could have stayed forever. We are looking forward to returning to this same unit next year!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My family just returned from a wonderful stay at this property. It is clean, roomy,well-equipped, well maintained, quiet, and has direct access to the beach. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. I especially liked the large private balcony - perfect for watching the sun rise in the morning. The owner was prompt in answering all emails to make sure all our questions were answered in advance. I would highly recommend this property!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The condo, it's location and amenities were perfect. My family did not want to leave. The ocean view and beach accessability were great. We cooked in all but 2 meals and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. We could walk to almost everything we needed except a grocery store. The seafood market had a great selection and reasonable prices. Historic fort was enjoyable. We would recommend the condo to all our friends and family. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. My daughter loved the games and the boogie board. She felt like she was at home. Our only regret was that the pool was not open till May. A tide schedule would be nice and a mention to actual renters that many of the shops and restaurants near by only accept cash. We will definately be back!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children.

We had a wonderful stay between Christmas & New Years. The Honeycutt's were very accomodating for ouur relatively last-minute reservation. It was the perfect arrangement for our little family vacation. We enjoyed walks on the beach and around the park across the street. The condo was clean & had everything we needed, including a great view of the ocean. Hope to be back again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

As I had written in the quest book: This Condo was everything and then some. The decor and theme flowed and blended from one room to the next with taste, beauty and comfort The location was within walking distance to the store, the park, the fresh fruit and vegetable stand, Tiki Bar and Uncle Vinnie's restaurant, highly recommend them all. Beach access right out your door. The ocean view right out your living room, we spent hours on the deck watching dolphins, the sunrise, the stars, people fishing and surfing, and I am sure I entertained people watching from their own decks the waves knocking me down. The weather dictated our activities because it rained most of the 5 days we were here but we did not let that stop us from enjoying all that Carolina Beach had to offer. Went deep sea fishing, caught shark and blue-fish, than cooked them, the kitchen had everything we needed to pull off a feast of shrimp, red-skinned potatoes and "today's catch". The Honeycutts' are the epitome of "Southern Hospitality" and a true class act. Our trip was a last minute, last second excursion and they made it easy and painless to accomodate my self, my husband and 23 year old son. Appreciate their help in assisting us in making some much needed vacation memories. What a wonderful location this property sits on. It has phenomenal views and is so accesible to any where you may need to go i.e restaurants souvenir shops the boardwalk etc, there is even a small grocery you can walk to. In all honesty if you wanted to sit at the beach and never move your vehicle you would be well entertained with what ever you elected to do. That being said Do not miss the opportunity to visit Fort Fisher, Willmington river front, The USS North Carolina and take the Ferry to Southport we also Visited Duplin Winery In Rose Hill great place for winery tour tastings and lunch (about 45 minutes away) The Condo is beautiful, well maintained and actually quiet, You will love eating out on the deck drinking in that magnificent view. We arrived 12 hours after Hurricane Irene blew through and Carolina Beach was pretty much back to normal operation. Familys flock to this beach and this being our first and hopefully not our last visit we now know why. On a final note, the owners of this Condo were a delight to work with. In a word this vacation was FABULOUS!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We loved this rental because it was in the perfect location. Just close enough for an easy walk to the "boardwalk" , Britts donuts, and the carnival but far enough away so that we enjoyed complete quiet and darkness at night. We had every meal on the balcony and the A/C washer/dryer etc. worked great. Our only constructive feedback is the kitchen is really not stocked with adequate cooking ware especially pots/pans. We like to cook fresh seafood on vacation and this didn't happen to the extent we are accustomed to. No biggie, just throw in your favorite pots/pants/knives when you are packing your car and you'll be set.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Regarding the kitchen supplies: We have always received comments on how well stocked the kitchen is for a beach condo. We do have some space limitations due to the size of the kitchen, as condo kitchens will not have the storage space that larger single family homes will have. We have put what we feel are the most likely items to be needed and expected ( we also cook in alot and like to prepare fresh seafood esp. at the beach) and may not have every item that a particular person may like. We take an inventory at the end of each summer season and add/replace kitchen items that may have "bitten the dust" over our busy peak season May-Sept. We are also open to specific suggestions as well from our guests.

About the owner: My wife and I live in Raleigh NC and are lifelong NC residents. We have two chiildren and we love to go to the beach, being only a 2 hour drive away!
Why the Owner Chose Carolina Beach:
We bought this condo in Carolina Beach because we had both traveled to CB all of our lives. In our opinion, the beachfront is as nice as any in North Carolina. However, CB offers the best value of any beach community in NC. Being close to Wilmington is also a plus for higher level shopping, dining, and entertainment than most beach communities offer. It is also easy to get to with Interstate 40 almost all the way and the Wilmington International airport.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We like the proximity to the lake for biking as well as the boardwalk area. This unit has a perfect view of the beach and ocean, without too many stairs to climb. The view of the General Beauregard (Civil War shipreck) which surfaces from the water at low tide just offshore is also very cool and unique to our condominium.
