This beautiful, five-bedroom, new home for 2005.

Planning a BIG FAMILY REUNION or ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION? We have an additional 5 bedroom/ 4 bath house for rent right next door called Greenwood(VRBO # 53581) or Vacherie(VRBO 53579) a 5 bedroom/5 bath home. The two homes can accomodate groups with up to 32 folks, the three homes can accomodate up to 46 folks. We 've already had several of these events and our response has been tremendous(see guest book comments).

Located on Highway 30 A in Seagrove beach - one mile east of Seaside. Includes three suites with king-size beds and one bunk room with two bunk beds, a suite with two (2) queen beds, and two sleeper chairs and a sleeper sofa in the game room along with a Pool Table.

Come stay on 30A in a fabulous, brand-new, Mediterranean - inspired home with front porches on the first and second and third floors, overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the unobstructed view from the porch chairs, looking over the public beach access across the street.

From your porches, you can watch the famous Seaside 4th of July parade right in front of the house. This home is located one mile east of Seaside, convenient for biking on the paths to Seaside and WaterColor. Grocery shopping is less than 1 mile to the new Watercolor Publix.

After a day on the sugar white sands of the beach, come up and relax in your own private pool in front of the house with beach views. Let the kids swim while you grill dinner. Everyone has room to spread out in the 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, plus a large play room with pool table and a sleeper chairs, where the kids can hang out in their own space.

The house sleeps 16, including 3 king beds, 2 queen bed, and a bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds, plus two sleeper chairs and a sleeper sofa. All bedrooms have televisions with DVD/VCR players. You can enjoy a meal together with a dining room table, plus a bar seating 4 separating the kitchen and living room. You will love the open floor plan.

The first floor has a bedroom with two (2) Queen beds, bath, washer and dryer, 2 sleeper chairs and sleeper sofa and game room with Olhausen pool table .

The second floor, with the living room, kitchen, and dining overlooking the beach, entertainment area with Plasma TV and surround sound, plus 1 bedroom with two bunk beds and a bath.

The third floor has the master suite and two bedrooms all have king beds and private baths. The deck off the master suite is breath taking! We also have a double stack washer and dryer on the this floor for your use.

Oh, and don't worry about running out of hot water... our Rinnai continuous hot water systems will spoil you with a never ending supply of Hot Water!

Stained concrete floors adorn the first floor and beautiful travertine marble on the second and third floor. The custom kitchen is warm and inviting with pine cabinets, stainless appliances, and green granite countertops. There's room for more than one cook here, and you're still visiting with the family in the living room.

Enjoy the Old Florida style decorating by Anne Roberts and Tim Beasley, making this home look like it has been there for years, with a mix of antiques and reproductions your grandmother would love.   • My family and I stayed at the "Retreat" this summer and found the accomodations incredible. The house is beautifully appointed and perfect for large families or even mutiple families wanting to get away. The access to the beach is less than 75 yards away and has a ramp all the way down to the sand (Those with strollers will really appreciate it). You get incredible Beachfront views from the 2nd and 3rd floor verandas without the Beachfront price. Dan the owner is a joy to work with as well, very courteous, and attentive to his clients needs.   • We enjoyed my parent's 50th Anniversary here. The house was large enough to accommodate all 15 of us with plenty of room. The 2nd floor open floor plan allowed us to all gather together for meals etc. without feeling cramped. The kitchen was also well equipped for any cooking you want to do. There was also plenty of room to get away and have some quiet time. We had a wonderful time.

  • Our family recently enjoyed a few days in the guest house. It was great. So much room and such beautiful decorations. We loved the ocean view from the porch. We enjoyed the beach, shopping, walking and bike riding. On Sunday we went to a delightful service in the chapel. There were 3 generations of our family there and it was a great time for connecting and just enjoying being together. A wonderful place to visit.

  • 3 generations of our family gathered together at the "Retreat" in Seagrove and there was room for plenty more. We didn't begin to use all the space and amenities that are available. Members of our family came from TN, MS, GA and AL and the drive time was comfortable for everyone. Make a reservation at the "Retreat"...your entire family will love it.

  • This is a great house. The beach access is the best we have ever had. We had six children five years down to one year and we had no trouble getting them to the beach. There are no steps, a ramp, so you can roll everything down. The house is beautiful and has tons of space. The guys loved the pool table and the kids loved the heated pool. I really liked the open floor plan in the kitchen and dining area so we could all(13 of us) be together at the same time. Thanks Dan for being so easy to work with. Hope we can visit again soon.   • I happened to come across The Retreat in rental listings. I had to be in Panama City Beach for business and drove to Seagrove Beach just to take a look at it. I immediately rented it for the third weekend of October. We had ten family members with us. This home is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The owners have spent a lot of time making sure this home was indeed a "home away from home". It had more than enough room for each family group to have their own private space if it was wanted, or plenty of places in the home to play pool, cards, watch TV, read, or sleep without interruption. The pool was just the right size for the family. We intend to rent this property again. We loved it. Thank you Dan and family.

  • Great Location, Close to Seaside and Rosemary Beach as well as the Destin shopping areas. Our party of 16 had plenty of room for the kids and adults. Our group of men and boys really enjoyed the pool table and xbox. The pool was great for a after beach swim. The location of the house to the beach access was great. The access had a shower to rinse off sandy feet and shower with fresh water. Hope to come back again next summer.

  • What a great week we have just had at Retreat. There were 12 in our family that enjoyed coffe on the balconies overlooking the beautiful waters. The house is just across 30A from the beach with plenty of viewing space of the water from the upper two stories. There was room for everyone and the children loved just crossing the street and being on the beach and swimming in the pool Everything was super and we highly recomment Retreat.
