LOCATION is VACATION!
Contrary to their claim of being in the true center of Paris, most Hotels and apartments are not. Apply the 1-minute-rule, ask are any studio you want less than 1-minute-walk from the river? Your studio is less than a minute walk, steps from the river in the historic heart-of-the-heart of Paris. Arguably the most lovely location in Paris, because a walk at midnight over the magic bridges will allow you to soak the wonders of Paris then walk safely home, after dark among all the tourists in the brightly lit streets lined with cafe, and restaurants opened late.
HIDDEN SAVINGS:
You will also save money. First by walking everywhere and avoid taxis and / or public transportation. Secondly, you will save money on food, the apartment is near a fantastic SUPER Gourmet Stores and famous fresh market “Marche Maubert” known to Parisians mainly, which offers the most delicious fresh and cooked food, cheese, bread and finest wines.
LE STUDIO LOFT LA TRAVIATA
is most in demand with three large windows looking on a quiet courtyard; a decorative fireplace surrounded by wall-to-ceiling mirrors. The master king-size bed (from German designer Cap-A- Suivre) is straight out of Act III of that opera, an amazingly treat! There is also a mezzanine with a full size bed. The space is open. The kitchen is equipped with 4 cooking plates, a fridge, cooking ustencils, microwave, a coffee maker. There is a bathtub in the bathroom. For those who want to experience romantic Bohemian Paris, La Traviata is a dream comes true!
LE METRO
1 minute walk from Metro St Michel and 2 minutes walk for RER B direct line to CDG airport.
HIGH BANDWIDTH WIFI to your laptop + FREE international calling to dozen of countries including free long distance to USA Canada Australia Europe and China!

Perfect location.Thank you for all your (email) advice and help,it was most helpful. Could not recommend this studio any more, absolutely perfect location.central to all the Left Bank has to offer, close to taxis and "Red Bus" for tour of Paris highlights(recommend),so many restaurants to chose from so little time, guess I will have to return. For 1st time guests check out the fixed price menus outside most restaurants(great value)Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The Studio is so well located it was very easy to merge into Paris life. The information forwarded by the property owners was very useful, providing tips about the neighborhood and Paris restaurants and other attractions. I very much appreciated the recommendation for Gerard Mullot - the pastry is incredible and the shop is clearly a local favorite. The woman in line ahead of me with her daughter (I'm assuming) was evidently going to be entertaining: she must have bought several hundred euros worth of pastries. In looking for a restaurant recommended by a previous Studio guest I found it has been replaced by a superb restaurant: Les Trois Font La Paire, 26 Boulevard Saint-Germain. It can be found online by its name for those who wish additional information. I strongly encourage reservations for evening as they are likely to be full for any walk-ins. The dinner prix fixe was either 30 or 35 euros. I had the Tartare de boeuf which incorporated grated truffle - it was rich and delicious. It was served with what I think were potatoes that were formed into triangles and then lightly fried. The insides of each piece tasted like potatoes whipped with cream, so a crisp crust was filled with a mixture that melted on the tongue. The final accompaniment was a delicious watercress salad. The wine selection was also excellent. My next trip to Paris will certainly include another visit to this fine restaurant.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We just returned from an incredible 12 day cruise, ending with a week in Paris at La Traviata in early July 2011. What a lovely stay it was! The location is absolutely incredible. Steps (and I mean STEPS) from great boite's, cafe's, restaurants, ATM's, Monoprix and most of all St Michel metro stop. My husband and 2 teenage kids stayed here for a week and we would do it again in a second. Just charming! (and don't forget the Shakespeare Bookstore about a block and a half away on the Seine!)Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

My wife and adult daughter stayed at the La Traviata studio apt. for five days in May 2011 and loved it. The key was the location, everything is as depicted in the descriptions and photos, no surprises. The bathroom situation is a little different but manageable among friends or family members. All you need is a towel for privacy on the railing and you are without any embarassment. Claude and Violaine are wonderful hosts and help you with everything prior to your arrival. Convienent to the metro , cafes, groceries etc. You really do feel like a local due to the location. The optional shuttle service that Violaine can arrange is worth it and very prompt for any new commers or to make sure you get to the airport on time. The apt is clean and has the basics that you need to feel like you live there all the time. Not suted to anyone with trouble walking up & down stairs. Claude's direction's for everything are perfect.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stopped in at Paris for a weekend on our way to Spain. We had been there before and were wanting a place close to the "heart" of Paris; we found the ideal location in La Traviata! Coming from the airport via subway we were only a few minutes away from the apartment so carrying our luggage was no problem. We loved that we could exit La Travaita and be "in" Paris -- no subway ride, no walking a few blocks. My husband is a jogger and jogging along the Seine River in the mornings as he took in the historic sights of Paris was a highlight. We rode Vélib' bikes around town and enjoyed the experience as well as the convenience of these bike rentals. The apartment is exactly as pictured on the internet and though small (we are a family of four), it served us ideally for our needs. We found Claude and Violanie to be exceptional hosts via the internet as they sent us pages of recommendations of where to shop, eat, sights to see, etc. Their information alone is worth the price of the apartment. We would highly recoommend La Traviata. Thank you, Claude and Violaine, for such wonderful accomodations and for being such welcoming hosts!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Traviata Loft and it exceeded our expectations. From our first initial contact with Violaine & Claude we felt very comfortable in what they were able to provide. In the time leading up to our stay they stayed in contact and provided us with very valuable and helpful information about Paris and the apartment. We had no troubles accessing the apartment as we were very well prepared by the couple. The apartment was clean and even better then portrayed to us via the internet. The location could not have been better, you are in the best location possible. The apartment contributed enormously to our great time in Paris. Next time we come back we will use them again. Thanks for such a great experience!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

La Traviatta was just perfect for our first visit to Paris. It was a lovely change from hotels and more impersonal holiday apartments. Claude and Violaine were wonderful to deal with -- more like friends than anything else. The apartment itself is very cute -- old but chique. Living in it made us feel like real Parisians -- for five days anyway:) It was wonderful to walk out the street door right into the heart of cafes and restaurants and smiling faces -- and only a five minute walk from Notre Dame and the River Seine! Looking forward to our return visit. Tom, Phyllis and JamieRecommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We were in search of a destination that would allow us a bit of freedom to travel by car conveniently into Florence with our two young daughters. We found everything that we could have asked for here . . . we drove our car into Florence and also to Sienna and Pisa, each time returning to a bbq (cooked over a fire of aged olive branches that I swear made everything taste better than ever!) and swim at one of the most beautiful Italian countryside apartments available. The apartment was very comfortable with AC, the pool was absolutely beautiful for our late afternoon and evening swims, our daughters (10 and 12) had the time of their lives and Marco was a fabulous host. Sunday brunch was an unexpected surprise (we ended up staying by the pool for most of Sunday because brunch was such a treat!) and the hospitality was beyond our expectations. We truly look forward to our return to La Civette and are envious of all those who share this experience!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My dear traveling partner and I were overjoyed with the studio. It was quaint, clean, and in the most lovely location possible. We walked everywhere and were able to visit local bakeries, and food vendors for our needs. We truly felt at home and safe in this ideal location. Music festivals, running next to the Seine, art galore, and enough fun to fill your cup. Merci to Claude and Violine - they are trusting and take amazing care of your travel experiences. Highly recommend the shuttle service too (great after jet-lag)!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
