Both holiday apartments are in a cottage style. The view of the stunning mountain world is something special. From the terrace or the nice east, west or south facing balcony. The terrace holiday apartment (70m²) is ideal for 1-3 people). It has a separate bedroom (2 people) with bathroom, WC, bidet, 2 sinks, bathtub/shower and a separate guest WC is available. In the middle of the apartment is the spacious living/dining area and the cosy and spacious living room with TV/DVD, stereo and a sofa bed or cot. The completely equipped kitchen has a water cooker, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, espresso machine, electric stove, washing machine and dishwasher. The holiday apartment has a terrace with a stunning view of the Allgäu Alps. From the living room and terrace you will have a very nice view of the mountains. We (2 adults and a dog) had a fantastic 6 days in the terrace apartment. It was clean, tidy well equipped and the welcome form Alfred and Mary was excellent. The property was better than described, the location was very good (it is probably best to have a car). The level of customer service was excellent (including the fresh bread every morning - you are only charges for the bread NOT the fact that Alfred gets out of his bed every morning to collect it for you!). Several good day trips and walks in the area and again Alfred and Mary provided good advice and information about trips and places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay at your terrace apartment. The property was spotless with everything you would require for a holiday stay included. As i commented when I was staying, being an english speaker (only I'm afraid) it would have been nice to have satelite TV which would include english channels. A car is a must and once you have that it was a terrific base and the tours recommended by the owner were wonderful. One was a triple cable car ride up from Obersdorf - fantastic. Alfred Gallen and his wife Mary were extremely friendly and offered great customer service. They also provided a book which recommended places to eat etc and anything we tried were worthy of a few trips back. I would defininely recommend this property to my friends. On our last day Afred gave us a tour of the larger apartment and its layout and views were amazing. All the best for the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car.

Hi, I took my two children (boy of 13 and daughter 10) to stay in Alfred and Mary Gallan's apartment in Bavaria arriving on New Years day 2010. Ryanair to Munich Memmingen made for a quick and easy transfer to the apartment. The main apartment is located on the top floor of a large house and there are smaller individual apartments on the ground floor. Alfred and Mary live on the middle floor i.e. the 1st floor. The apartment is tastefully decorated with all new modern appliances and furnishings. The decor is colourfull and in an alpine/bavarian style. The owners have taken great care in preparing the apartment and provide a nice welcome. We are a skiing family and I wanted to try something slightly off the beaten track. There are a couple really nice places to ski nearby especially Oberstdorf and even better Fellhorn. Also, there are a couple more local smaller places near the apartment that we skied which were fun for a day each. Bavaria is a beautifull place. It's easy to get around even if the it's snowing hard which it was when we were there. We found pleasant people and good local amenities including the local indoor municipal pool at Oberstdorf. There's even a little hatch facing into the pool area where large beers were available. We all enjoyed trying to decifer the German language which is closer to English than my kids expected. Everything was a blast. One thing is for sure. Alfred and Mary have an excellent set up and offer a superb welcome. I would recommend visiting to anyone from skiers, to hikers or people interested in the history and beautifull town centres dotted all around this part of Germany. Enjoy! Would highly recommend this property to one and all. The hosts treated us like family, the accomodation, location and facilites are great..and the views are stunning. We stayed inlate July 2010 and used as a base for a walking and sight seeing holiday. The area is fantastic and the people extremely friendly and helpful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

vielen Dank Mary, Alfred und Lara Ihr seit tolle Gastgeber. Wir hatten eine sehr entspannte Woche und haben den Komfort in Eurem Haus sehr genossen. Alles war sehr gepflegt und es fehlte wirklich an nichts. Unsere Wilma wäre bestimmt gerne noch bei Lara geblieben.... @Mary du bist eine einmalige Köchin, wir haben bereits zu Hause nachgekocht. @Alfred ich hoffe du hattest die Gelegenheit den Wein zu probieren Wir sehen uns wieder....Grüße von Mareike, Wilma und AndreasDid you find this review helpful?
