We had a pretty large group of 18 adults and kiddos and fit in the house perfectly! The house had amazing location I had a vision of it being in the middle of nowhere but it was right across from the nightly concert, the Hungry Moose natural grocery store, delicious restaurants (Lotus Pad was amazing), and several stores. It was about a 10 minute drive to go to Big Sky Resort for paddle-boating, bungee-trampolines, and many more things to do. The family went into Yellowstone 1 day but there was so much to do in Big Sky and Bozeman we only made one trip. Everyone loved the hot tub and it got a lot of use, a park down the way a bit for the kids to play. It was a great trip and accommodated our family so well! A great experience for our first vrbo.com rental!

Our daughter got married in Big Sky on July 16th. We wanted a place where the rest of the family could spend the week and relax together. Perfect! That is all I can say. This house has everything you need and more. We has such a wonderful stay and I hope we will be able to come back again.

Just finished up an annual ski trip with 7 other buddies. The Firehouse was perfect for our needs. Plenty of beds to choose from (no one had to sleep on a couch this year) and a large common area to hang out and catch up. We could have easily had 6 more friends join us. Within walking distance to a couple of great bars and restaurants and only a short drive to the mountain. Look forward to renting this house again the next time we ski Big Sky.
Owner response:Its easy to see why renters come back to stay with us year after year. It fits large parties well.

We were exceptionally pleased with the Firehouse. Everyone who stayed with us remarked on the beautifully furnished house and all the great amenities it offered! It truly is within walking distance to restaurants, grocery store and more. This is a house that any of us would love to call our own - it has a great floor plan and accomodates guests with children and those just wanting some privacy within the home. If we are ever that direction again, we would definitely want to stay there!

Big Sky is such a great area, and this house just makes it so much better. The beds, furniture, kitchen and bathrooms are first class with lots of room for the group to gather and have fun. The owners have provided everything you'll need and phone numbers to get assistance with anything that might need tweeking. We can't wait to return!

What an abode! As we walked we all felt like celebs! We are a brotherhood of skiers who get together annually & ski different areas of the country & abroad. This was by far the best lodging experience we ever had. After a long day on trails at Moonlight Basin & Big Sky, the lodging at The Firehouse was soothing to both mind & body especially, with sight of the hot tub. This beautiful house is very spacious, relaxing, comfortable & modern. The inner beauty within those walls was something to behold, the house had everything to make our vacation very pleasant & enjoyable. The access to the mountains was very easy by car or shuttle. Across the street on the main road visit the strip mall & restaurants, the people are very warm, friendly & helpful. See Mitch & the gang at Grizzly Outfitters for any ski/snowboard equipment problem. The skiing at both mountains are world class. I will try to get back here in the near future & hopefully stay at The Firehouse!

Although we live in Montana, this was our first extended ski trip to Big Sky. We were joined by my sister & family from Rhode Island. We very much enjoyed our Christmas at The Firehouse. In particular, the well equipped kitchen, lovely ambiance of the gathering room, large dining room table, abundant seating in front of the fireplace, quiet, comfortable bedrooms, the kids' loft space complete with Wii, the beautiful hot tub, the large garage & mudroom for all the ski gear, the short drive(or shuttle) to the mountain. In short, this was a vacation that our kids will remember for a long time. One that we hope to repeat in the near future. Thanks for sharing your lovely Big Sky vacation home!

This is our 3rd trip to the Firehouse and every time we've left with special memories. We love staying in the Meadow Village where it convenient to walk to Town Center and yet still see a moose or an Elk. Getting up to the ski area is just a 10 minute drive. The accommodations are great for families and groups and the Firehouse is well maintained with an excellent team that responds quickly to any needs. We have consistently gotten what we would expect for the price and look forward to returning.

We have a group of adult skiers/snowboarders that try to go on a trip each year. We like to stay together in one housing unit, which isn't always easy. In February 2009 we made our first visit to Big Sky, and it was one of our best trips ever. A lot of that was our accomodations. We had 11 adults, and the Firehouse was spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and very well-equiped. We have never had as much "elbow room" for such a large group, and the owners could not have been not have been more attentive and responsive. In addition, the location was great for us, not far from the shuttle and within walking distance of restaurants and equipment rental shops. Combine the accomodations with a great ski mountain and the location near Yellowstone and you have the setting for a perfect trip. We would have no trouble convincing our group to come back here for a repeat.

Thanks for a great stay at the Firehouse. The attention to detail and extra space made everything just perfect. The house is so comfortable and makes settling in to Montana life almost immediate. The loft is an especially great room for kids and gives them their own, very private, space. Looking forward to coming back soon. Jamie Ocean City, Maryland

March 2007 - We had a fantastic time at the Firehouse. It accomodated our family easily, 7 kids, 2 adults. If the kids are pleased then you know it is good! Easy drive to Big Sky slopes, loved the open layout of the house - helped me to keep an eye on the younger ones while I cooked. Close to everything you will need. Rick was a gracious host and very responsive to our needs.

Enjoyed the Firehouse completely. We had a family reunion with people aged 6 months to 76 years and everyone felt comforatble with the home. We are looking forward to renting again. Rick was a pleasure to deal with and responded to every question we had in a timely manner. Thanks Mike Robino

A group of 10 of my high school friends from MN gathered the summer of 2006 at this glorious home in Big Sky. We LOVED it, the quality of the home was amazing. It was decorated "first class", a true mountain decor and the top quality went down to the sheets, towels and kitchen appliances. The location was great to get to Yellowstone as well as close to Big Sky. We all left nurtured by the experience, plus we had tons of fun!

January, 2007 - Rick was a pleasure to deal with. This house was great for a group of 10 ageless baby-boomers. The main floor is spacious and accommodating. The upstairs bonus room allows for a separate TV viewing area complete with a “napping” sectional sofa. Compared to other 5/6 bedroom rentals in the past, this house was the most efficient. The house location is just a short drive when heading to the slopes, and convenient for travel to the surrounding areas such as snowmobiling in Yellowstone or in route to excellent meals such as those we found at Buck’s T-4 & Rainbow Ranch.

We had a great time in Big Sky staying at the Firehouse. It was a beautiful place and comfortably accomodated our large group. It was in a great location for our snowmobiling plans in Yellowstone and skiing at Big Sky. We are definitely planning many more trips out there and will stay at the Firehouse.

Great place! The Firehouse was perfect for our large group. We do a trip every year and this by far the best accomodations we've had for a group our size. Amenities were great, central location and VERY quiet. Rick was extremely responsive and helped make our trip a joy. My only regret in writing this is that everyone reading this will want to stay there!

Rick, Just received the kids school schedule so we could reserve 'our' spot over Spring break. We had an fantastic time last Spring Break, the 'Firehouse' fit our group of five families perfectly. Great accommodations, awesome great room, nice bedrooms and enough bathrooms for all the ladies. The guys enjoyed the soak in hot tub (as did the ladies). The kitchen was great - we had some fantastic meals, furnishings were classy. The grill was convenient. Everything was perfect, can't think of a thing to improve on. Unfortunately, our week was booked. The kids are off from March 13-17. I told the other couples about our dilemma at the lake tonight and they are all disappointed. How early can we make reservations for next March? Call me if the house opens up!

We (4 adults, 8 kids) had a great New Years 2006 week at this home. The owner was a great communicator and was very fair in all dealings. The home was very clean/spacious and handled our group without a hitch. The loft is HUGE and tucked away from the living area and afforded an area where the kids could play and be loud without rocking the whole house. The house is 50 yards from the access road that takes you up the mountain to Big Sky and Moon Light Basin (about 12-15 minute drive in snow). If you ski, try Moon Light Basin as it has a very exclusive feel, no lines and a real bargain at only $40 per day. I highly recommend this house to all!
