Best Goddess weekend ever!

I am one of four women who have canoed together for the last seven years. Each year we choose a different river in Michigan. This year we chose the Jordan River and stayed in the Good River Cabin. We had such an extraordinary time that we decided we want to come back in 2011. The cabin is spotlessly clean and the owners made the stay very easy and convenient. We did not have good weather but it didn't matter because the cabin is so roomy and comfortable. We neither saw nor heard another person all weekend except canoers braver (or younger) than us - although when we were singing out on the covered deck one night a dog started howling. We really enjoyed meeting the owner of Sacred Sparks (just around the corner on Webster Bridge Road) and also enjoyed our visit to Jordan Valley Glassworks. Everyone agreed the Friday night fish fry at the Lumberjack was the best walleye we'd had in a long time. Charlevoix is not that far away and the drive is lovely with a pottery store and a candle store en route - not to mention all the fun places once you get to Charlevoix. WE RECOMMEND THE GOOD RIVER CABIN for a good time on the river!

Such a relaxing place to be. You could hear a nat fart! Was a perfect area to get some great fun time together. Highlight of our stay had to have been staying up late to sit by the fire and go to the hill to look at stars. We have lived in the city so long I forgot how many and how beautiful they are!! Would suggest everyone stay up til midnight on a clear night and lay down to look at the stars up front. Overall a great experience and a relaxing peaceful stay away from home (I have to say I loved shopping in Charlevoix!)

We had a wonderful week stay at your cabin. This area of Michigan is beautiful and we enjoy the trips to Leeland, the Dunes and Traverse City. Canoeing in the river and nights around the camp fire were highlights this week. Thanks for sharing your cabin!

Our stay here was wonderful. We had so much space and it was so relaxing. We had a blast in the river kayking or just jumping in to feel the water. Thanks for letting us use it for a few days.

We had a wonderful time staying here! We enjoyed kayaking and sitting on the dock watching everyone go by. Our dog also loved it here! It was the perfect getaway!

Sitting by the river and just listening to the sounds.....what a great way to relax and spend time with family. You have a lovely cabin and we really enjoyed our stay.

We thouroughly enjoyed your cabin! We had a great time and this place was a pefect "pit stop" down the river (1/2 way down the 3 hour trip!:)

First time to the cabin. We loved the location and wildlife-saw several herons and a family of deer. Weather was nice aside from a few hours of rain. We took a day trip to Charlevoix that was enjoyed by all. We'd love to come back to the area sometime!

Great time had by all! We were here 2 years ago and it was just as much fun as last time. Weather wasn't perfect but we made do. River was awesome-no injuries or divorces--Life is Good! Thanks so much for letting us stay at your beautiful place.

Our group has been to this "cabin" several times and plan to retun again in the future. The drive in from the main road on our first trip had us worried as there are several less than desirable properties but once back to the cabin u feel like u are in the middle of no where. Its clean and very quiet and secluded save for the river traffic. Passing paddlers will make comment to you on your luck at having such a nice place to enjoy. You will enjoy your stay here and of course the Jordan River is awsome kayaking/canoeing (not white water).
