This was my second trip to Savannah, and I found that classic southern tradition and style at 120 West Taylor Street. This beautifully decorated “Savannah Row House” sits right on Chatham Square, one of the dozens of squares around which this historic city is built. The history and architecture of Savannah must be experienced first-hand to fully appreciate it. There are plenty of things for the family to do, and Tybee Island Beach is only 20 minutes away.
My buddies and I had this entire house to ourselves. The garden apartment was very nicely decorated, very cozy, yet we had all the room we needed with two beds, two baths, full kitchen, nice sitting area, and covered veranda in the courtyard. The brick floors were a beary nice touch. The upper apartment was absolutely gorgeous as well, everything a little larger, and its verandah overlooks and has access to the courtyard as well. You find either apartment a great place to stay.
Parking can be difficult in Savannah, but this house has a two car garage with private access from the ally. That’s a real treat in Savannah! Savannah is a great walking city, and 120 West Taylor Street is nearby to everything. Don’t miss an opportunity to visit Savannah, and plan to stay at 120 West Taylor when you do.

Our daughter started college in Savannah in the fall and, while there, we stayed at a chain hotel near her dorm (which I really hated). When we visited for Parents Weekend, we chose instead to stay here (in the upstairs house) for essentially the same price. This was a great decision. We were charmed the instant we opened the door. The furniture is comfortable and the rooms are well lit by floor to ceiling windows. In the front, these overlook Chatham Square; in the back, these overlook the brick-walled courtyard. Downstairs there is a living area, dining area and TV room that extend the length of the house. Upstairs are two bedrooms. The master bedroom faces the square and is luxuriously appointed including the sitting area. The master bath is enormous with a corner garden tub. The other bedroom has plenty of room and faces the back of the house. It has it's own bathroom with claw-footed tub. The unit shares a garage with the downstairs unit so that you will have 1 parking space. Had we not had the garage, parking would have been difficult. Savannah is a great walking city both for touring and exercising. Everything in historic Savannah is within walking distance of this house. It is very close to the SCAD dorms in the historic district as well. The owner was very nice and helpful. If I had only one suggestion for the house, it would be to put drapes in the bedrooms. I am a light sleeper and the plantation shutters did not eliminate the light enough for me to sleep soundly. We will stay here again.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
A beautiful place to relax.

My girfriends & I have had the pleasure of visiting Savannah four times, and for every visit we have stayed in the Midnight Garden Apartment. It's the perfect location for everything we like to while in Savannah. Just around the corner is the free CAT shuttle that takes us all around the Historic District, and it's an easy walk to Forsyth Park and Clary's Cafe (get the blueberry pancakes). The apartment is beautifully decorated and we love relaxing in the courtyard with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. I also really like that the location as off street parking, a real plus in the Historic District. When I visit Savannah again, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

This was one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. And the owner could not have been more gracious! We came to Savannah for our wedding and were so charmed by this beautiful row house that we moved the wedding site to it's lovely courtyard. All of our guests were stunned by how beautiful it was! And Ms Seymour was all Southern grace and charm-and the rum coffeecake she left for us was amazing. If you are very blessed in this life you will have a chance to stay in this little slice of heaven!
