CasaTolteca just won the "2011 Top Vacation Rental - Manuel Antonio" by TripAdvisor/FlipKey. In fact, CasaTolteca has been the most requested, most popular home in Costa Rica for the past five straight years for many reasons, but here are the three most important:
1) Perfect Location - While CasaTolteca is completely private and surrounded by rain-forest, you can easily walk to over a dozen restaurants, bars, a private nature reserve, beaches, and even a casino. You don’t need a car. With no visible neighbors, exotic birds, monkeys, and other wildlife frequently visit CasaTolteca. Tolteca is also one of the closest homes to the main public beach and National Park. You can walk there in minutes!
2) Privacy - From virtually every corner of the estate, you have complete privacy. The only thing you see is lush tropical rain-forest and stunning ocean views. Other homes are built on narrow lots with neighbors that you can see and hear just feet away.
3) Horizontal Living - Spread out horizontally, not vertically like most houses in the area, you don't feel like you are confined to the indoors. CasaTolteca is completely private no matter if you are indoors or out. There is room to gather as a group, or retreat to your own private suite.
No other home in town has all three of these important qualities!
CasaTolteca’s four spacious, luxury living suites, as well as its inviting pool and gardens, command spectacular views of the Pacific. The villa offers six comfortable bedrooms with three king and three queen beds, and six full baths--each with a double vanity, as well as expansive decks and a beautiful vanishing edge pool with refreshing waterfall.
CasaTolteca is more than just a private villa... it is a secluded private estate with four separate living suites spread out horizontally over the grounds (not a tall vertical building). With over 6500 square feet of living space, huge covered balconies, plus large private gardens, and surrounded by endless rain-forest, you won't feel like you are cramped in a house.
CasaTolteca is ideal for large groups... a large great room for when everyone wants to get together, and also three additional living spaces (each with its own fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge) for when the group wants to break up and get away from each other.
During your stay at CasaTolteca, you'll be pampered with daily maid service. You can optionally have any of your meals prepared by a superb chef. Our expert, fluently multi-lingual concierge is eager to assist you with all your pre- and post-arrival planning and arrangements, including travel between San Jose and the villa, and any of the many amazing eco and adventure tours available in the area.
CasaTolteca is perfectly located right in the heart of Manuel Antonio, right off the main road just before you get to the world-famous National Park. You can easily walk to many fine restaurants, casinos, clubs, bars and discos. Several world-class beaches and the famous National Park are just a two minute drive or ten minute walk from the villa.
CasaTolteca affords extraordinary peace, privacy and seclusion within the forest. Frequent monkeys, occasional sloths, flocks of toucans, and many spectacular lizards may be observed about the villa. Hundreds of species of birds have been spotted from balconies in this area.
Experience CasaTolteca now--its lush jungle setting and breathtaking ocean views are out of this world. Explore the many exciting attractions of this pristine coastal rain-forest from one of the most pleasant and delightfully relaxing luxury havens in all of Central America.

Why the Owner Chose Manuel Antonio
Costa Rica has many beautiful areas, but none more spectacular or famous than Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio has the best of everything Costa Rica has to offer in one place. While other small towns of Costa Rica are growing too fast with tall towers and fast food restaurants, I will always have the natural beauty and privacy of Manuel Antonio National Park right next to me.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Complete privacy. Even though you are walking distance to the center of town, CasaTolteca has no visible neighbors from virtually every corner of the estate. Your only view is huge ocean views and rolling hills of rain-forest.
CasaTolteca is also one of only six homes in town that you can comfortably walk to the beach and national park.
Opening soon... is said to be the largest marina between San Diego and Panama.
Easily walk to over a dozen places to eat, drink, dance, and gamble.
Owner's Map of Manuel Antonio
After year's of traveling through Asia and Europe, Costa Rica was my first travel through the Americas. I quickly fell in love with the people and the incredible beauty of Manuel Antonio, purchasing an estate as my home-away-from-home in 2006. After extensive renovations, I'm proud that I have made CasaTolteca the most rented home in the country... unfortunately, that means I rarely get to visit. So recently, I purchased another acre of land to build my retirement home in a few years.

We had an absolutely awesome time in Costa Rica, and did not want to come home! It is hard to get all of our family together in one place as they are scattered across the U.S. And in Japan! Everyone was thrilled with the accommodations, and the location of the house was perfect as everyone was very comfortable with jumping on the bus! The house is perfectly arranged, especially for a group like ours, and was extremely well equipped! We loved the upper deck and the views, and our resident iguana. We had a wonderful Christmas dinner prepared by your staff, who were delightful! And I cannot say enough about how great Thomas was. He was so responsive, capable, and personable. You have a real gem in Thomas!!! The house exceeded our expectations, and I will definitely recommend it to others who may be interested!

Casa Tolteca - what to say? Fabulous, fantastic, wonderful - all that and more. As a large group with 11 adults and 3 kids, it was hard to find the right place, but we found it in Casa Tolteca and the wonderful staff. Thomas and Katherin are extremely helpful. They always get back to you as soon as they can with any question you have. Cornelius and Francini are The Best! Great people and great cooks! If you can, get at lest one breakfast and one dinner prepared by them. It is absolutely worth it. Yorleni, the house maid, is a very sweet person who makes your home away from home sparkely clean. We had a great time here and sad to leave Casa Tolteca. We said our good-bye to Gettes - the iguana who lives under the top roof and comes for an occassional visit. We said our good-bye to all the Capuchine monkeys who entertained us enlessly with their fearless jumps. And we said our good-bye to the deliccate squirrel monkeys who invaded our balcony several times. Life is good and we are happy we could spend part of it here at Casa Tolteca.

Our family of 11 had a wonderful visit to CasaTolteca. On the first morning we saw the iquana who took charge of the property. Later in the day we were treated to a visit of several white-faced monkeys. And on our walk to the beach, we saw a sloth in the trees and one on the ground. We also saw the house agouti almost every day and had 3 additional close monkey encounters. I loved taking the bus into town and to the beach and shopping at Super Joseth down the street.

Our first trip to Costa Rica was outstanding in part because of this gorgeous villa! Staff were efficient, honest, friendly, and warm-hearted. We were welcomed by refreshing fruit! Our first night of night swimming in a clear blue pool by the dark sky and a bottle of crisp wine by the poolside. We spent the days out on a few select tours, on the pristine beaches, at restaurants, or simply at the poolside. The hammocks were wonderful for an afternoon snooze caressed by sea breezes. This villa was great. We will be back!
Owner response:Thanks Humara, we enjoyed having you at our home. See you again next year.

Casa Tolteca was the perfect ending to our Costa Rican adventure. What a wonderful week! Manuel Antonio was fascinating and the beches were stunningly beautiful. We ate wonderful food all week but Cornelius and Francini's delicious cooking was the best! We loved having our little monkey visitors almost everyday. So different from what we see at home. The Costa Rican people were so kind to us. What a wonderful vacation! Thanks to Thomas too.
Owner response:Thanks Peggy. Thomas, Francini, Cornelius, and the rest of our staff are looking forward to your return trip.

Britt's 40th birthday @ Casa Tolteca! 5 couples from New Bern, NC enjoyed a glorious week of: lounging by pool; ziplining; sport fishihg; horseback riding; Manuel Antonio beach & market; Café Milagro; dinner at the house with Francini. We hated to leave this beautiful home, beautiful view and sunsets only God can create... but our 11 children want us back! We'll be back for more 40th birthdays - and 50ths & 60ths...
