We first visited Hilton Head Island in 1988 because we heard it had nice beaches and great golf. Well, we found out it had all that plus so much more! We have been coming back to Hilton Head ever since and our children now love Hilton Head as much as we do - maybe more! Although we've stayed on and off plantation in houses and villas, we always come back to Shipyard as our favorite place on the island.
Four years ago, our dream came true when we purchased our own villa in Evian. We chose Evian, a private, gated community, nestled in the heart of Shipyard Plantation, for its tranquil, park-like setting, surrounded by Brigantine Golf Course and situated beside a five-acre fishing lake. We loved Evian because it is ideally located with easy access to the beach, FREE tennis, affordable golf, fishing, restaurants, and shopping. Guests may also use our beach club locker, located in the new Shipyard Beach Club, equipped with beach chairs, beach umbrellas and a boogie board which makes going to the beach a snap! Additionally, high-speed wireless internet access is also available in the unit.
Our family-friendly, Evian villa sports an amazing lagoon and golf view. Our newly-renovated villa is a two-bedroom, two bath, first floor, end unit located on the 18th hole of the Brigantine fairway nestled among serene wooded areas and lagoons, loaded with fish. Kids and adults alike will enjoy fishing from both the front and back yards.
Our covered rear patio provides a charcoal grill, table, and chairs with a breathtaking view of the lagoon and fairway, while the second patio provides shade and privacy with outdoor lounge furniture. We also offer five cruiser bicycles (three 26", one 24", and one child's 20") for our guests' use.
The living room is freshly-painted and features a fireplace and wet bar, with a sleeper sofa and matching loveseat to offer accommodations for up to six people. The living room is equipped with cable TV and a DVD player, stereo and CD player. We have also included board games and books for family enjoyment. The dining area has a new table that seats six comfortably and is surrounded by windows overlooking the lagoon, the 18th fairway and green.
The master suite, with its own sitting area, walk-in closet, and access to outdoor patio, includes a king-size bed, new TV with cable, DVD player, high-speed wireless internet access and recently renovated private full bath. The second bedroom was freshly painted and redecorated this summer and offers two twin beds, a walk-in closet, DVD, and TV (no cable). In addition, we have added an RF module in case the kids (or adults) would like to hook up their PlayStation or Xbox. There is a second full bath, also recently renovated, in the hall next to the room.
Our freshly-painted, eat-in kitchen is fully stocked with flatware, glasses, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, coffeemaker, etc. to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The villa is also equipped with its own washer and dryer.
The pool is directly across and a very short walk from our villa and the free lighted tennis courts are a few steps further. A six-minute bike path ride will get you to Shipyard's clean, white sand beach. You can also walk or take your car. Ample parking is available at the new Shipyard Beach Club, complete with a new restroom and changing facility.
Hilton Head Island has so much to offer with its beautiful beaches, miles of bike paths, and abundance of recreational activities, that we know you will have a wonderful time. We hope you will consider our villa for your stay and know you will enjoy it as much as we do.
