My stay at this Berkley Springs cabin was just what I needed to escape the hustle and bustle of my everyday living. The birds, the pond, the deer !! Everything natural. They even had self composting toilets! This was enough to prove to me that the owners have a true compassion for the environment. Chris guided us around and pointed out different species of birds and plants. The whole experience was educational and very interesting. I would not hesitate to return and am looking forward to a return visit soon. Let me not forget to mention the cool claw foot bathtub !! Everything had the owners personal unique touch !
Owner response:Thanks for the great review, Ron. We just need to clarify that the cabin doesn't have a composting toilet. It has a full, conventional bathroom with a flush toilet. The composting toilets are in and outside of our house. Also, we currently do not accept pets.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

Dave and Kristine, We had a wonderful time in your cabin as we basked in the beauty of creation, and as we deepened our love for one another during our honeymoon. The rich biodiversity, serenity and deep beauty of this place have filled our hearts with long-lasting memories that will forever be etched in our souls. We also enjoyed the nature walk that we had with you, Kristine. It was indeed a great learning experience for us. We hope we can visit this place again. God bless you.

We found the cabin very clean, bright, cheerful and comfortable. It is thoughtful of you to provide everything from natural, biodegradable soaps to a yoga rug, to instructions and directions that helped us enjoy our stay. This was a unique, relaxing way to spend some time away from the city. Your natural land is beautiful and refreshing. The coffee and granola were delicious. We would be excited to return to your cabin to experience another season, and for a longer stay. Thank you so much for sharing your love of nature and passion for the environment with us. All the best, Leanne and Chris

Dear O'Briens - We had a wonderful time. As we turned into the lane yesterday afternooon, I said to Louise, "It's good to be home." We give thanks to you for your beautiful cabin and your kindness. We saw fifteen wild turkeys in the driveway yesterday! We'll be back again and again. Blessings always - Richard Bates

I can't begin to describe the weekend we experienced. Sunshine, blue sky, stars, moon, frost, hawk, deer, cardinal, goose, brass concert in town . . . the list goes on! Thank you both for the cabin. I ate almost all of the granola. We hope to see you again in April.

Thank you for having us. We loved our cabin and stay. Home and comfort go hand in hand. You provided us with both of these for our anniversary weekend. You gave us more info on the area than we could even squeeze in, let alone time to just explore the trails and secluded spots here on your property. We'll be sure to pass your website on to others.

Dear O'Briens - K. and I came back here to celebrate her birthday and for me to propose marriage to her. As she said, there was only one place on earth for us to officially express our love for each other and that is the wonderful cabin off of Cherry Run Road. We love the cabin, the organic coffee, granola, the woodstove - everything. This is our 1st view of the leaves on the trees - we took a wonderful hike around the property, ran the C&O Canal and shared 2 great meals at Panorama at the Peak. Thanks.
