Looking for that perfect place to take the family and get away from everything? This is it. Our private, four bedroom, three and a half bath house has beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean as well as the surrounding lagoons and marsh and is only a three minute walk to a TWO MILE PRIVATE BEACH or you can rent a golf cart to drive to the beach and on the beach which is highly recommended.

Located in Jeremy Cay, the house sits on an acre lot bordered by a lagoon on one side and marsh on the other three. There are five decks offering views of all of the surroundings. Drink a cup of coffee watching the sunrise in the morning on the deck off of the master suite or sip on a glass of wine on the third floor deck while watching the sun set in the late afternoon.

The two mile private beach is bordered on both sides by rivers which allow the residents of Jeremy Cay (only four full time) to not be concerned with privacy. Jeremy Cay is on the other side of the State Park from Edisto Beach.

New on the rental market, 18 Planters Retreat (the address), is equipped with all of the modern amenities to make your stay a memorable one. Enter the house along a brick path made of bricks salvaged from an eighteenth century church passing a fountain along the way. Make your way up to the first floor which where the master suite can be found with a king-size bed and private deck.

The master bath is equipped with a double vanity, a jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. Also on the first level is another room with a queen-size bed. There is also another full bath with shower on this level as well as the laundry room with washer and dryer. Make your way up to the second level which is where the gourmet kitchen with Viking cooktop, double oven, sub-zero refrigerator, ice machine and everything else you may need.

The kitchen overlooks the open living room with L-shaped couch and satellite TV with HBO. There is another porch off of the living room with views of the ocean. Also off of the kitchen is the kitchen table set in a rectangle of windows looking down on the lagoon. Off of this area is another porch. Another bedroom is on this level which has a king bed and TV.

The bedroom has its own full bath as well with a clawfoot tub. Another half bath is on this level as well. Go up the stairs to the top floor where you will find a loft level equipped with a queen size bed and two twin beds as well as a small refrigerator. This level looks down on to the living room area. There is also a deck off of this level.

Edisto is known as a laid back family vacation island. Things that we enjoy doing in Edisto are: walking on the beach; watching the dolphins just off the coast; looking for shells; swimming in the mouth of the river where it meets the ocean; fishing in the rivers, lagoons, and ocean; eating oysters on the deck; drinking coffee while watching the sunrise; having a glass of wine watching the sun set; reading a book in the afternoon; cooking dinner in the gourmet kitchen; and on and on and on. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!

BTW: We have our own reverse osmosis well which is great for drinking so no need to worry about bringing your own water as you do on Edisto Beach and we also have unlimited free long distance on the phones for those of you who need to call home or get on the internet. We do not, however, provide linens (sheets for beds and towels) so we ask that you bring those or you can rent them on the island if you choose.
