If privacy, peace and relaxation are what you’re looking for, please "make yourself at home" in this 2600 square foot, lakefront home on popular Elk Lake. With its 100 feet of private lake frontage, you can enjoy water sports, fishing, or just relaxing outdoors under the cool canopy of trees.
At the waters edge you will enjoy clean swimming and a great view of Elk Lake. Being on the west side, we are typically less windy than other lake locations. There is 50 foot dock with boat hoist, a firepit, a large picnic table, and plenty of yard to throw down lawn chairs and lake toys. From this location on Elk Lake you can easily boat to adjoining Lake Skegemog, Torch River and Torch Lake.
UPPER LEVEL FEATURES
The main level offers an open floor plan with a beautiful view of the property and lake, a large fully stocked kitchen, a breakfast bar with stools, a dining room, and a walk out to the enclosed sun-room, and a large deck with stairs that descend to the backyard.
LOWER LEVEL DETAILS
Downstairs you will find another living room/rec room with a walk-out to a spacious lawn, large enough to play horse shoes or throw a football. For those with an appetite for gaming, there is a full-size ping-pong table and an additional TV for a gaming system.
With two spacious floors, you can enjoy a family gathering, a golfers retreat, or any other vacation desire without feeling cramped.
LOCATION
Your get-away destination is located 5 minutes South of quaint downtown Elk Rapids, off of Elk Lake Road. Traverse City 'Cherry Capital' Airport is approximately 25 minutes, door to door. Our lake location is just south of "Spencers Bay" on Elk Lake. See MAP.
BOAT LAUNCH
Elk Rapids Marina has a public boat launch and gas, though it may be busy on Saturdays. Boat rentals are also available at Elk Rapids Marina. Whitewater Township has a public boat launch about 13 minutes South on Elk Lake Rd, for a small fee.

Year Purchased: 2004
My family and I came to Elk Rapids for a vacation in 2004 after five years in Asia with the USAF. My husband being a graduate of Elk Rapids High, wanted to get us all back to a little "hometown" experience.
Why the Owner Chose Elk Rapids
Our intention was to return and buy a permanent home 'someday', but after previewing a few lake shore properties, we fell in love with the ranch style home you are looking at today. Still on active duty and with a senior in high school, the time isn't quite right for us to become full time residents.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We use our home on and off through out the year as time and duty allows. There is nothing more relaxing for us than waking up in our canopy of trees to our lake view and golden sunrise with a coffee and bagel in hand. The local golf courses offer a close second however. Northern Michigan lakes are notoriously pure and Elk Lake typifies this attribute. (So far, I think I've caught the largest fish in our family.) It is our hope that other families, water lovers, golf and fishing enthusiasts will make wonderful memories of their own as we offer our home up for seasonal vacation rental. Come experience Northern Michigan, it is a pure delight.
