This majestic, log home which is professionally decorated has four bedrooms and two baths and is located on spectacularly beautiful Torch Lake. This pristine log home possesses old-world charm that cannot be replicated with today's newer construction. The home features natural log interiors, a river stone fireplace, screened-in porch, tranquilizing views of the lake from all floors, coziness, and warmth.
This non-smoking home is suitable for families with young children or older couples and it comfortably sleeps ten people. With an open floor plan and a second story it offers plenty of room.
We have 117 feet of lakefront, including a sandy beach and a private dock. The lake's sandy bottom reaches 50 yards from our lakefront and is shallow, making it ideal and safe for children to swim and play in. Located on the south side of the lake, you have an unobstructed view the length of the lake, yet still have views of those now famous Torch Lake sunsets.
TORCH LAKE was named the third most beautiful lake in the world by National Geographic Magazine. The water resembles that of the Caribbean turquoise color and is so clear you can practically tell if a coin is heads or tails 50 feet down. The lake has a sandy bottom and is ideal for all water activities. Torch is the largest lake in Michigan (roughly 18 miles long and about two miles wide) and is part of a chain of lakes which allows boating from Elk Rapids to Bellaire.
Golfing is abundant with such challenging courses as Grand Traverse Resort's The Bear, The Wolverine, High Pointe, The Chief, and Hawks Eye are all within one-half hour drive. Popular tourist destinations such as Traverse City, Charlevoix, and Petoskey are all within an hour's drive. If you choose to travel a bit further, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and Mackinac Island are well worth visiting.
