Why the Owner Chose Kailua

We chose to purchase our home in Hawaii because its is amazingly beautiful. We came to Oahu and immediately fell in love with everything about Kailua, the drive over the Pali Highway with the rope vines hanging down, to the charm and comforts of Kailua town. There are many colorful shops but yet all the amenities of a bigger town like 3 grocery stores! Also the restaurants are delicious, and you could eat at a different one every night for a year it seems like.
Not to mention the amazing beach literally at your front door. Kailua Beach is often ranked as one of the nations premier beaches and rightly so. Its miles of pristine white sands and blue waters. Our home arguably has one of the best views of the beach.

The Unique Benefits at this House

Our home is as close to the beach as you can get, which makes this the perfect vacation home. You don't need to spend your trip lugging chairs, toys, and family members to the beach. Its all just steps away. Plus running in for a drink takes just a few seconds.
Plus our home is LOADED with toys and games. We have everything you need to enjoy the ocean and the beach; surfboards, kayaks, boogie boards, plus towels, chairs, umbrellas.
Not to mention the great views from inside and outside the home. There is a vast expanse of beach and ocean in front of you from every room. Guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Owner's Map of Kailua

We are from Colorado but came to Hawaii and knew wanted to own a piece of Paradise. So we have been renting our home to people every since to let everyone enjoy just like we do.

    • Wow. What a wonderful home and amazing place. The home has all the amenieties you could ever want, and the beach toys kept us entertained without fail. The views from the home are spectacular, and the lovely decor and furnishings made it a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. The welcome Kat and Dan gave us was wonderful and started long before we arrived with a beautiful coconut postcard. We were made to feel right at home from the very start which only added to our enjoyment. Kat met us when we arrived to show us round, and was at the end of the phone if we needed anything. We had drawn up an itinery for our stay but with the magnificent beach before us, we couldn't bring ourselves to leave it for one minute. We're looking forward to our next trip to Kailua and wouldn't want to stay anywhere other than Kat and Dan's beautiful beach house.

    • We had a wonderful 10 days at your splendid beach house. It was very accommodating for our family of 10. We were there in preparation for the wedding of our daughter and it was the perfect spot for relaxing before the big day. The location is ideal. You are close to the shopping in Kailua but when you are on the beach it is like you are miles away from civilization! We had such a good time in the surf and appreciated all the "beach toys" that were provided. Dan is a wonderful host and Kat a most gracious hostess. Thank you for a memorable time at Hawaiianhale! We will be back.

    • We've stayed here twice and can't wait to go back! The house is perfect: beautiful casual decor, gorgeous views, and all the beach gear you could ask for. The house is perfect for families. We've stayed here with kids ranging from age 1 to 9. Dan and Kat have made every effort to accommodate our needs. The beach right outside the door is wonderful-great bodysurfing and boogieboarding. I am running out of superlatives to describe this place. It is truly magical!

    • Few words can begin to describe the beauty, comfort and luxury of Dan Dudden's home on one of the best beaches in the world. My husband and I found his property on the internet and enjoyed 2 weeks for our honeymoon exatly 5 years ago. Each day is a memory I'll never forget. Waking up to the sounds of gentle crashing waves, the smell of clean ocean air, coffee on the wrap around deck watching the sunrise every morning, snorkling right out the door, kayaking every day for miles and miles, enjoying cooking in his fully loaded kitchen, watching movies at night and sleeping in extremly comfortable beds. We had to go back, so two years later we brought my husband's family along. We knew they would love it and they have not stopped talking about that home and location and trip. Ok...we are totally addicted, so two years later (one year ago exactly...January of 2008) we brought my family there. Three couples fit so well in that house and game time at night was the highlight after long days of beautiful walks and hikes and hanging on the beach. We found out one day after our Hawaii vacation last year that my sister in law who was on our trip was dying of stage four cancer. She felt perfectly great in Hawaii and enjoyed all activities. Dan Dudden provided a home to fuse our family together and we didn't even know what news was coming once we got home. THE GREATEST thing is we all have glorious pictures and that vacation was indeed the most priceless of all. Postive? That is a very underrated word for this home. A MUST VISIT is more appropriate. Sincerely, a third time visitor from the COLD AND WINDY CITY. Jeri-Lou

    • The Plantation House was everything we had hoped it would be for our family vacation. The accomadations were comfortable, the view awesome and the amenities provided with the house were everything you needed to have a great vacation. The owners Dan and Kat are also part of what made it an awesome place to stay. We would reccommend the Hawaiian Plantation House to anyone looking to have a great time.

    • My family and I stayed at this house in September 08. It was a wonderful place to stay. The house probably has the best views of the ocean on the beach and it is located on a great part on Kailua beach. Every time I walked into the living room, I was shocked by the beauty of the view. The house was fully stocked with just about everything you needed. There was especially a huge variety of recreational equipment and toys. This was the third time that I rented a Condo in Hawaii. This place was definitely the best. I look forward to staying there in the future. Regards, Mark McGarry

    • To stay here is truly paradise! One could not ask for a more relaxing beach or comfortable vacation home. This is THE place to kayak, play in the surf, grill outside or soak up the sun while in Kailua. While a guest here, I wanted time to stand still and the holiday to go on forever.
