As you drive in the Blue Heron Cottages a feeling of nostalgia overwhelms you. These eight cottages were once a motor lodge in the early 40s and they have been totally restored. They are situated on the gulf side for easy access to the beach. The heated pool is a delightful place to cool your toes or catch some rays. Many of my guests return year after year.
This precious cottage is a little piece of heaven! You will not find a more adorable place to create memories for you and/or your family. The grounds are well manicured and you can feel the gulf breeze from the front porch. We do accept small pets with a non-refundable pet deposit.
Blue Heron #3 is the only 2 bedroom cottage with vaulted ceilings, which makes it light and bright! And it is also the only cottage with a "polywood" (no splinters) wrap around porch. You can sit in your beach chair on the porch and enjoy a meal or a fruity tropical libation!!! Just recently painted inside and out!!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay so much in this quaint cottage on the gulf that I booked an additional few days to extend the trip. Steps to the sandy beach and gulf water. Wonderful Happy Hours in walking distance. Jan the owner was very helpful and for any questions we had.

Our vacation could not have been more perfect. The cottage was just as advertised. The location was great. Quiet and peaceful...off the beaten path. The beach was breath taking. We would have stayed longer but we will be back.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
