On Island contact is a very important part of our home and they live only a few blocks from the Villa Vista.
Poipu Villa Vista is a "Multi-Million Dollar" custom designed asian inspired five bedroom, three bathroom home that is set on the rim of a dormant crater. Upon your arrival you will know that you are "Somewhere Special". The lushly landscaped grounds include orchids, tropical plants, banana and palm trees which greet you swaying in the gentle breezes.
Step inside this tropically appointed home and fresh orchid plants catch your eye and draw your gaze to a 40 foot wall of glass paneled mahogany doors which lead out into your very own private tropical garden with a lava rock sunken spa and pond with a walkway that winds you through a rainbow of colored tropical flowers and palms.
Drift off to the sound of cascading waters that splash into the lava rock pond with water lilies floating atop while you observe the array of tropical birds that fly and perch in and out of the private garden. Or you may enjoy the spa after a round of golf or tennis or in the evening while you gaze up at the stars and planets. Your very own private retreat!
The front of the home boasts panoramic views ranging from ocean, mountain, crater, and golf course (17th hole PGA course) which are fully enjoyed out the huge view windows or step out onto the immense wrap around and fully tiled lanai where a spectacular daily sunrise may be enjoyed. Views of Shipwreck Beach and Whale watching during season!
Large glass paneled mahogany doors fold up allowing the outdoors in. Cushioned teak furniture invites you to sun on the deck or the covered area of the lanai provides a protected sitting and eating area or just snuggle up to your favorite book with a place to set your tropical drink or glass of wine.
When you finally make your way back indoors you will find it tastefully appointed in an Asian/Bali design reflecting style and grace w/natural bamboo and quartzite flooring and a Hawaiian open and spacious floor plan. A custom gourmet kitchen with an island and granite counter tops over red oak cabinets and breakfast bar seating for four persons. The dining area has seating for up to 10 persons at a formal but relaxed setting. Special sconces and lighting can be dimmed and adjusted to set the mood.
Enjoy the garden from inside the home lounging on hand carved teak seating areas accented with pillows and cushions with your comfort in mind. The incredible design literally brings the outdoors inside. Kauai’s peaceful atmosphere is experienced throughout the home.
The large living room has natural bamboo floors and is situated on the other end of the home with two exits to the spacious wrap around lanai where the panoramic views are ever changing and enjoyed - you may listen to CDs/your IPOD or watch a movie or sporting event on 42" PLASMA HDTV Home Theater system w/surround sound stereo speakers.
Comfortable seating with a large well cushioned couch, love seat, upholstered chairs and ottoman and auxiliary chair with plenty of cushy pillows. There is a custom "Tommy Bahama" rug with a Hawaiian print that adds warmth to the seating area.
Poipu Villa Vista is set up on two levels which offers privacy to families traveling together and is ideal for family reunions. The first level is entered through large double French doors. This unit is ideal for persons having trouble climbing steps since it is on the grade level. There is a full second kitchen with granite counter tops and all new appliances including a large side by side refrigerator freezer with water and ice in the door, microwave and full oven and stove.
Natural bamboo floors throughout the family room, dining area, kitchen and entrance area. There is a master bedroom with California king custom teak bed, seating area, and vanity. The second bedroom has two twins, a large armour and seating area. There is a TV for enjoyment or for video DVD or game use.
A spacious bathroom located between the two large bedrooms offers privacy to the guests. The bathroom is light and beautifully decorated with double sinks and granite countertops, and large custom cabinets and walk in shower. There are ceiling fans throughout the first floor level and air conditioning in both bedrooms.
Custom lighting and wall sconces allow you to set the mood by dimming the lights - creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.
The main floor of villa vista has huge natural wood architectural vaulted ceilings rising to up to 30 feet with an assortment of skylights and specialty windows. It has two queen bedrooms with vaulted natural wood ceilings and fans on either side of the foyer entrance. Both bedrooms offer sliding doors either to the lanai or the backyard tropical garden. There is a custom tiled bathroom with two separate sink areas. There is a custom glass shower enclosure around the tub. This bathroom is easily accessible to both queen bedrooms.
On the opposite side of the house lies the master bedroom suite with vaulted natural wood ceilings, ceiling fan, sitting area, custom red oak built in dresser, walk in closet, entertainment center with TV and teak vanity. This room has mahogany doors that fold back and fully open into a "private" area of the tropical garden.
The master suite is appointed with double sink granite vanity, private toilet closet. You step down into a custom lava rock and tiled shower, large enough for two, and imagine yourself in a cascading waterfall in a tropical rain forest as you gaze out in privacy and enjoy tropical plants, palms and distant mountain vistas in total relaxation.

Why the Owner Chose Poipu Kai
I chose Poipu for my vacation home because it has "everything" plus it has more "sunny" days than other vacation location on the island!
Poipu is fun for everyone. Poipu offers a large number of activities to enjoy. The adventurous will find kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, surfing, mountain biking, deep-sea fishing, horseback riding and ATV tours on Kauai’s South Shore. Golfers have 36 holes of championship play and there are lots of tennis courts. View Kauai's coastline with an ocean cruise, or enjoy a thrilling helicopter ride above its rugged interior. No matter what age, Poipu has something for everyone in the family.
If you’re a golfer, tee off Poipu-style. With two 18-hole championship courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Poipu offers some of the finest golf on Kauai. Enjoy a round of golf while soaking in some Kauai sunshine and seeing the amazing Poipu mountain and ocean views.
If you’re planning a wedding or honeymoon, many businesses at sunny Poipu Beach provide a full range of wedding and vow renewal services to celebrate your memorable occasion. Kauai is considered by many to be one of the most romantic and beautiful islands on earth.
At the Poipu Beach Park, endangered native Hawaiian Monk seal and threatened Green sea turtle are frequent visitors. From November through May, the endangered Humpback whale appears. Ancient Hawaiians fished and played here and harvested salt in dug-out evaporating pans.
There is so much here! Rainbows and double rainbows are a frequent siting! I have traveled here to Poipu many times and never tire of it.
My last visit i spent an hour snorkeling with two sea turtles! It does not get any better than that!

Aloha, my name is Lynn. I am the former owner of a very successful Commercial Real Estate Company in New Jersey which I recently sold. I have over 25 years of Commercial Real Estate experience and over 200 million dollars in personal sales. My expertise was in listing, contract negotiations, marketing and property development. I was all about business, however, I wanted to do something more creative and fun.
Back in 1998 while traveling from Kauai I had a conversation with a woman who was in the high end home vacation rental business. She had homes all over the world and this intrigued me. I started to research information and bought my first property in Goodyear, Az., Estrella Mountain Ranch; it is a custom home with a pool and spa with great views and privacy! I went on and purchased Poipu Villa Vista in Kauai, Hawaii with ocean, golf course, mountain and crater views and an international vacation home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, with a rooftop deck and views of the entire city. Our latest purchase was in Lake Como, New Jersey it is a seaside community just a half block from the lake and eight blocks from the ocean.
Owning vacation properties gives me a chance to be creative in renovating and decorating these custom homes to correspond with thier locations. Our goal is to have the stay for our guests become a special and unique experience and create memories for them that they will cherish forever. We live in a stressful world and each property has a calming effect that our guests love. They let us know we have achieved this by thier comments!

Our group of 7 people rented the upper level of this home January 14-21, 2012. The home exceeds what is portrayed in the pictures. It was very open, comfortable and clean. It comes equipped with everything you might possibly need. All of the wooden-carved furnishings were beautiful. The decor of the house is very well done. It had a huge kitchen, (big enough that we had 5 cooks in the kitchen together one night.) I also think it probably has the best lanai and view on the block. To be honest, there is really only a sliver of an ocean view. But the mountain views are spectacular. The driveway is pretty nasty. There were 7 of us in a minivan and we scraped the bottom every single time no matter which way we angled. But I guess it wasn't a big deal. I would recommend renting an suv or jeep if possible. The master suite was amazing, especially the shower in the bathroom. However, my husband and I didn't get to be in the master suite and we felt the wooden slatted doors lacked privacy that was much needed when traveling with the in-laws. The hot tub was very nice and we spent so much time at the close beaches we never went to the community pool or hot tub, though we checked them out and they did seem nice. The beach really is a 5-10 min walk or a 3 min drive. Some things I would recommend people do while in Kauai: A whale watching cruise up the Na Pali coast, hike to some of the dozens of secret beaches, take in the view from the Kileaua Lighthouse, take a surfing lesson, Friday art night in Hanapepe, and snorkel with sea turtles. A few other tips: Poipu Beach, and Lydgate Park Beach are great for small kids. The Costco membership is probably worth getting, even if you only stay a week or two. (Bottle of rum from Rum Factory was $8 more than same bottle at Costco). And final tip- this house is worth renting!
Owner response:Aloha and Mahalo to our guests from cold Milwaukee. I am so glad you chose to stay at beautiful Poipu Villa Vista. I appreciate your tips and suggestions....however if it was not for the "steep driveway" the views would not be so lovely! Please return and we know your suggestions will come in handy for future guests! Best Regards! Owner

This was our first time to Kauai and our first time staying in a vacation rental home and I must say it will not be the last time for either one. We especially enjoyed our stay in Poipu Villa, it was everything Lynn said it was and more. We had coffee on the Lanai every morning, watched the sun come up over the ocean and listened to the waves crash, amazing views! The home was immaculate and very comfortable, casual elegance, with and Island feel. Plenty of space for large families, lots of private areas even for the kids. Short, beautiful walking paths to the beach and to the nearby resort. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway. Thank you Lynn.

Our family absolutely loved Poipu Villa Vista! The listing and pictures accurately reflect everything about the home. It is beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable, conveniently located, and has all the comforts of home. My husband and I enjoyed being here with all the kids and grandkids, yet enjoying the privacy of our own accommodations in the master suite. We enjoyed having our own entrance through the garden area and enjoyed our early morning soaks in the hot tub while everyone else was still asleep. We would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to enjoy the beautiful island of Kauai. We are already planning our next trip!
Owner response:Aloha to our wonderful guests. You were such a pleasure to work with and invite you to return to beautiful Kauai. We are so glad your family trip was such a pleasant one!

Poipu Villa was great! The home was as described in the listing and met and exceeded expectations. Our party of 5 was very comfortable and the home could definitely accomodate for more. It was clean and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy the island of Kauai. We loved Poipu beach, brunch at the Hyatt, and sunset dinner at the Beach House. There are many wonderful things to do and the greatest was whale watching. We could even see whales from the lanai at the home. Thank you!
Owner response:Aloha! We are so pleased your family had such a wonderful time at Poipu Villa Vista! Thanks for letting us know and please come back again soon!

This house is amazing! When my daughter saw it for the first time she yelled "It's a castle!" The owner and her management team are very responsive and helpful, any issues were minor and resolved quickly. It is in a perfect location to beaches, bars, fine dining and shopping. Our experience was fabulous and we will be sure to contact Lynn and her team the next time we make it to Kauai!

This was my first ever VRBO rental and of course I was a bit nervous about it since I was making the arrangements on behalf of my extended family. Kay was great and phoned me to reassure me that everything was on the up and up which made me feel a lot more secure in my choice of this house. The house is just beautiful and is everything that you hope and expect it will be. The only thing that isn't mentioned anywhere is that the driveway is incredibly steep and you have to be very careful about scraping the bumper of your vehicle. I would not have wanted to drive up it but fortunately the guys among us were ok with it. Bill was very easy to get hold of and quickly took care of any small issues that we had. The kitchen was very well equipped and there were ample beach chairs and boogie boards. We had the master suite and it was very beautiful and comfortable but was much more sumptuous than the other bedrooms so if you were travelling with other couples you would have to draw straws for it. We were in Kauai for our son's wedding and so one evening we had 28 people over for supper and there was plenty of room for all, very spacious. All in all, an absolutely wonderful vacation home and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!
Owner response:Aloha Melanie, I am so pleased you liked the house and you took the chance and rented with vrbo.com. Kauai is beautiful and there is nothing like staying in a private home. I hope you loved the gorgeous views as well! Congratulations on your son's wedding and am so happy that your family will "forever" have fond memories of this special event! Please come and again and i really appreciate your comment! Mahalo, Lynn

Aug.1 to Aug. 8, 2009 Ew had a wonderful time on the island. Lots of activities, good friend and fine food. The beaches were great and the view from the balcony was spectacular. We enjoyed the cool trade wind breezes. Lauai at the Hyatt was great. A perfect way to celebrate anniversaries and a birthday. Enjoyed the Lady Luck ride to the Napili Coast. Aug.1-8, 2009 What a wonderful way place to spend our 24th year anniversary-Loved waking up to the gorgeous view on the lanai. can't believe we never had our picture taken with such a beautiful back ground. Time goes by too fast..you have to do things when you think of them! It was great to be able to keep in touch with our Canadan family by phone so there were no worries on either end. Never used the pool as the beaches were so much fun on both North and South shore. We truly hope to be back one day- Thank You (Mahalo)for opening up your gorgeous home to visitors. I don't think we would ever leave it if it was ours! Hope I will read this one day!

Aloha! We so enjoyed your beautiful house and very much appreciated how well equipped it is. We are a group of students from the University of Michigan buesiness shcool and here on a sort of orienation trip-not bad,eh? We had a blast boogie boarding, relexing by the pool and exploring Kauai. Having the hot tub out back was a big hit, especially after hiking the Na Pali coast so a big mahalo to you from the 12 people with very sore muscles! This is a idyllic setting for all the now life-long driendships that were made here, we won't soon forget the wonderful trip. Mahalo
