This vacation home is located on a secluded cul-de-sac on Blue Mountain Road, a quiet street which runs along the Gulf of Mexico south of 30-A. The house is across the street from the Gulf and fronts Big Redfish Lake, one of the Coastal Dune Lakes that occur along the coastline and are so rare they are found only in Florida's Walton County and remote areas of Africa. The comfortable furnishings and colorful decor provide a wonderful beach getaway.
The house has a full kitchen with the great room which has a view of the Gulf of Mexico and the beach. There are four bedrooms and a second kitchen next to the large living room. This floor plan is perfect for extended family or two family vacations. Three bedrooms have queen-sized beds and one has twin beds.
There are comfortable sleep sofas in both the great room and the living room. French doors in three bedrooms open onto a wide porch, which runs across the back overlooking serene Big Redfish Lake. A deck by the lake offers the opportunity to further enjoy this peaceful spot and stairs take you down to the water's edge to a dock and swim float.
A 4-minute walk to the dedicated beach access brings you to the beautiful white sand and blue-green water that has made the Florida Emerald Coast a prime vacation spot. Nearby, Big Redfish lake lazily flows through the sand into the Gulf, making it a perfect shallow-water play spot for children.

Blue Mountain Beach is minutes by car or bicycle (via paved off-road bike trail) to the quaint old beach village of Grayton Beach and the world class resorts of Water Color and Seaside, both of which feature frequent outdoor family concerts in the summer. Bicycle, kayak and canoe rental are nearby.
Exciting shops, restaurants and galleries are plentiful. A few of the notable nearby restaurants are Criolla’s, 30-A Cafe, the Lake Place, the Santa Rosa Beach Club, (all along 30-A), and the Red Bar in Grayton Beach, Fish Out of Water in Water Color and Bud and Allie’s in Seaside.

We had a wonderful experience in this house. It was more than spacious for 6 of us. There are many nice porches, an excellent lake dock, a deck overlooking the lake. Having 2 fridges was really nice. While the beach access was not directly across the street, it was just a short walk to it. And the beach itself was never crowded and always clean. We have been coming to this area for 15 years and would choose this house above any other we've found. It's well worth the money. The owners are really thoughtful and pleasant to deal with as well.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

The location of this home in Blue Mountain beach is wonderful. The backyard is right off the lake which provides beautiful views, wildlife, and great kayaking. The beach walk is very close and one can bike with ease to all the local shops/Seaside. The set up of the house is ideal for an extended family or large families wanting a bit of privacy. Our family of five had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. The house is well maintained and the owners are very pleasant. We did not want to leave and can't wait to return.
