While you're on your computer, check our calendar, then email to reserve your roost at Parrots Perch, our Gulf Shores Plantation East gold-rated condo number 4406, where you will find a palm and parrot theme and a beautiful view of the sugar sand beach and deep blue water of the Gulf of Mexico from the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, and its 4th floor balcony.

At this gated resort, your children will never be bored. They will love to go from swimming pool to swimming pool - there are seven on the property.(See if your family can spot the underwater bench at our newest pool with soothing jet sprays for your tired back?) This summer we added a big red wagon for hauling your stuff to the beach, which seems to be appreciated by our renters who wrote after their 09 visits. There is an outdoor shower right on the beach boardwalk for rinsing off sandy feet. Take flashlights and buckets and head for the beach with the children at nightfall where they will be so excited to try catching ghost crabs. A good place for your serious crab fishing is the small pier across the highway from the resort, which also has a public boat ramp.

You will enjoy the any-weather convenience of an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, washateria, and game room all in the same building as Parrots Perch, and a Starbucks restaurant and fitness room in Building 5 nearby. On the day or night you arrive, take your tennis racquets (or badminton racquets)and enjoy some exercise after your long trip. No problem if its already dark, just punch the button on the fence that lights up the courts at night.

Parents can watch children play from the wide deck of the condo - the tennis courts are right across the parking lot in back. And courtside you will see a basketball goal - there is a basketball inside the condo for your use while visiting. Some other recreational features are shuffleboard,volleyball, and a golf putting range where you can practice before heading over to the adjacent championship course at Kiva Dunes, our sister complex.

Condo specifics include a queen bed in the blue-and-white master bedroom with private matching bath. An unusual window treatment here features battenburg lace above the white wooden blinds with a parrot perched on its wooden cornice. In this room there is a new 19-inch flat screen television/DVD combination and a clock radio with correct time kept by sattelite. Another condo feature that many guests appreciate is the WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE so bring your laptop computer!

The jungle green guest room includes plantation shutters,twin beds, and original art parrot pictures. There is a small TV in an armoire/chest of drawers with mirrored doors for hair and makeup arranging. A separate bath serves these guests.

The living room contains a large TV armoire serving the striped sofabed with pullout baskets behind its louvered doors for sofa sleepers to use. Armoire doors have also been fitted with mirrors for these guests as well as the 27-inch televison,DVD, and VCR. Lined draperies keep out the morning sun for our sofa sleepers.

The kitchen has plenty of beach-themed dishes and microwave,coffeepot, blender, hand mixer, toaster, hot pot, and plenty of pots and pans. All you have to bring is your food, spices, and paper towels to be the kitchen gourmet or just to cook shrimp in the large pot we keep on hand. There is a Parrot Dining Table you'll just have to see! And you will find a parrot on the wall welcoming you to 4406 where we know you'll have as wonderful a time as we do every time we go!

  • We loved Parrot's Perch so much we've stayed there twice now. It is beautiful with a wonderful view of the beach, and SO convenient. Every ammenity is provided and Linda is a joy to work with. We hope to say again! Loved it!!!

  • 5/24/08-05/28/08 Weather and accomodations were great! Our family had a great time on the beach and at the many pools that are available at the Plantation. This condo is well equipped and nicely decorated. The beach was not crowded because the resort is isolated from all places in Gulf Shores. Crab hunting at night was a lot of fun if you have kids. Well worth the drive from Missouri even with gas at $3.90

  • We spent a wonderful 3months inthis condo.The condo is very clean and has everything you need to make your say comfortable. The veiw is just great! So nice to watch the surf and have your morning coffee,can life get any better. The Plantation is a great vacation spot for families,with so many things to keep anyone busy.   • We spent a wonderful winter in Parrots Perch.This condo is clean and well furnish.The veiw is great.Who wouldn't want to set and drink their morning coffee and watch the waves come in.Great!! The Plantation offers so many amenities for all ages,but the beaches are the best. Yes we are going back to Parrots Perch for another winter and just can't wait. You would love this condo.   • 6/30-7/7/2007 A blissful beach week for our second stay at Parrot's Perch. Linda, thanks for your help coming back. The condo wraps you in relaxation and hospitality: the murals on the walls, the luxurious fabrics and comfortable furniture. The grounds at Gulf Shores Plantation are always well-maintained. Everyone both guests and employees are friendly and caring. Again this year fireworks on the beach were amazing. The kids work up this morning begging for "one more day, please!"   • We had a wonderful time here with our 2 small children. Everything was neat and clean. It was so nice for the kids to have twin beds and their own bathroom. I must admit we spent the majority of our time out on the beautiful beach. Plenty of room to set up your canopy on the sand and have a great shady spot for the kids to relax. Complex is very kid friendly and the pools are great. We would def. rent this condo again!

  • What a great place! We had a wonderful trip! The condo was decorated really nice - much nicer than our friends condo in the same place. We had everything we needed - fully stocked with all kithen supplies, vacuum and broom to clean off the sand that always gets on the floor. They even had a little cart that we could use to wheel our stuff down to the beach. We received good instructions and had good communication with the owner. I highly recommend!

  • We had a blast! The condo was everything we expected and more. Truly great for us. The only thing that could have made it better is being able to stay longer - we're working on that for next year.
