Location: Sayulita, Costa Vallarta North, Nayarit, Banderas Bay (Puerto Vallarta Area), Mexico (20 mile north of Puerto Vallarta easy bus ride from airport)

Affordable Casa Mural offers the best location in town, a block from the beach, three from the restaurants and shops in the center. It's a charming, spacious, Mexican-style home with beamed ceilings, arched doorways, large windows and lovely, colorful murals on the walls. We pride ourselves on offering a very nice home at a reasonable price.

Walls are thick stucco, the interior cool and quiet. Every room has excellent ventilation, screens, and ceiling fans. All mattresses are new. Kitchen large, well equipped.

Large covered veranda offers comfortable outside seating for relaxing and dining. Large yard is quiet, peaceful, shaded by mango, lime, coconut, and banana trees. They're prolific in season, so help yourself! Washer and dryer on site.

House and yard entirely walled and gated, you'll feel secure and private. Safe provided for valuables. Because Casa Mural is ideally located, no need to rent a car (not on a mountainside, as so many of Sayulita’s rental houses are, so no steep hills to climb). However, we do have garage parking.

Our property manager speaks English and lives nearby!

Casa Mural is comfy, clean, and functional. There are box games, puzzles, cards, and books to read in the cupboards, so pack light --simply come, relax, enjoy!

Fresh sheets, towels, and purified drinking water are provided. If you prefer to eat in, but not to cook, we can provide caterers.

We provide a cell phone for your stay, 2 boogie boards and lightweight, easy-to-carry chairs for you to take to the beach. (Chairs can be rented on the beach for $10 to $15 each per day, which adds up quickly, so this will help with your budget!) I'll send you a comprehensive, 18 page packet that includes activities, information on local transportation and communication options, the best restaurants, beaches, medical emergency info, etc...

Air conditioning is available May through September. Because of the thick stucco walls, good ventilation, and ceiling fans in every room, you won't need it during most of the year.

  • I visited Sayulita with 5 of my friends, and loved every minute. The town is the perfect destination for a relaxing, laid-back, beach vacation. Casa Mural was the perfect vacation rental. It is very reasonably priced and located in a great location (within a short walk to town or the beach and NO HILLS). We had the pleasure of meeting the owner while we were there. She was very kind, accomodating and very helpful. The home was plenty spacious for the 6 of us and very clean and homey feeling. The back porch and big back yard was definitely where we spent the most of our time. I would highly recommend visiting Sayulita, and, if you did, stay at Casa Mural.

  • What a fantastic house in a charming town! Casa Mural was clean and colorful, in a perfect location, away from the bustle of town but near enough to walk everywhere. Wonderful beach too. Can't say enough about how helpful it was to have suggestions from the owners emailed to us before our trip to MX. Also took advantage of riding with the mountain biking group at Lorenzo's across the road -- great fun!

  • We had the best trip ever, much of it due to you and your lovely Casa Mural. We felt so at home there, loved the location, the yard, the lovely rooms, all of it. The kids explored every part of the yard, saw LOTS of iguanas, ate bananas and limes from the trees, and were able to NOT bring much sand into the house, thanks to the outdoor shower. We ate at Lorenzo y Estellas 3-4 times, made pals with Michel, the guy who owns the cafe on the corner, got many chickens to-go from the grill down the street and ordered a full pie (mango-apple!) 2x's from Sandra at her coffee stand in the Libreria. Oh, loved Macondo and the owners, too. Muy delicioso! We pretty much made ourselves right at home in Sayulita and were able to do so so easily because of your "guidebook", that we printed out. You should see it with its highlighted parts and notes all over! The town and people there were very quickly very special to us and I can't wait to return asap. Definitely to Casa Mural! Thanks so much!

  • 8 of us stayed at Casa Mural. What a lovely, inviting home. Casa Mural is clean and spacious. We slept comfortably and socialized on the large back porch watching the resident (huge) iguana. We cooked many a meal in the the complete kitchen (and even hired a chef to come and cook for us), had food delivered from the family run restaurant across the street. The grocery store is a few steps down, the beach is just a couple of blocks, and town if 5 minute walk (away from the noise). Can't wait to go back!!! thanks Christina

  • We loved Casa Mural – fabulous location and great for our group of 5. Very sweet house. We spent many lovely evenings on the back porch and had great adventures during our days there. I loved the proximity to the town, our favorite boogie-board beach, and the library (that has wireless for one dollar per day and great espresso and spanish lessons). And it was nice being in a mixed neighborhood with many businesses as well as residences. The mural in the kitchen is a beautiful addition.

  • We had a lovely time--you have a wonderful home in Sayulita! The resident iguana greeted us with a friendly hello by dangling one day from the veranda roof--quite a handsome fellow. The house was quite nice and well appointed and the garden and the veranda was a great treat--it was very nice to be able to sit out there and read, chat or have meals. You have a very special home and we thank you so much for sharing it.
