This two bedroom villa is a "PREFERRED PROPERTY" with lots of return guests who feel as though they can depend on a clean, upscaled vacation spot. 2011 UPDATES included new huricanne strength doors and windows. The villa was taken down completely and fresh paint and touch-ups will be at its best. 2012 improvements have begun and include new stainless appliances and carpet.
422 CAPTAINS WALK is a villa with one of the best views possible on Hilton Head Island. A FOURTH FLOOR-UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW. A unique feature of this 2BR CW is ts ability to have "full door-length views" from the den. We've made special efforts to maximize this with captains chairs on the deck.

As you enter the villa, warm green tones move you pleasantly past fun art and out to the magnificent ocean. Your eyes quickly glance at the captains table and the large wrap-around leather sofa (by Lazy Boy).
You will want to linger on the balcony for your first glimpses of the blue ocean waves. A Captains Table Set makes this a great place to meet morning and evening to watch beach combers throughout the day.
For guests considering a PALMETTO DUNES OCEANFRONT VILLA, YOU CANNOT GET ANY CLOSER OR ACCESS THE BEACH ANY EASIER THAN WITH A "CAPTAINS WALK"!!!
A FOURTH FLOOR "CAPTAINS WALK" IS A " GREAT LOCATION." You simply can't get any closer than this. All units in the "CAPTAINS WALK" complex are all-flush with the ocean. THERE ARE NO V-BACKS.
With only three buildings and 30 units per building, guests feel and indeed are in a very private complex with LOTS OF OCEANFRONT to place their beach umbrella and chairs.
"422 CAPTAINS WALK" has almost 1400 square feet of space, with long views from the balcony or master bedroom. It is wonderfully spacious and close to the beach. To get to the beach, you catch the elevator down, take a short turn, and walk less than fifty steps to the beach gate. The Hilton and Hyatt Resorts are next door, so those wanting a morning paper can walk less than five minutes for this morning ritual.
"SOUNDS OF THE OCEAN" cannot be beat!!!
The DEN has a top-of-the-line, Lazy Boy, leather sectional sofa, which has been a great hit and sits guests comfortably. A nautical striped recliner adds to the circle atmosphere as the family settles in after a day of fun on the beach. The carpet is CLEAN and comfy for the kids who like to make their own space when watching TV or a rented movie. All our rooms have CEILING FANS and FLAT SCREEN TV'S.
There is a Stanley woven seagrass bed in the MASTER BEDROOM which makes one wonder if it's what Santa uses while visiting Hilton Head. The room is large and roomy, with featured art work from HHI. All mattresses in the unit are top of the line; pillow tops on both sides.
The GUEST BEDROOM has two queen-size beds. Again, pillow top and comfy. The second bath area adjoins this room. All bedrooms and the den have CEILING FANS. Both bedrooms have TV's.
BOTH BATHS HAVE RECEIVED REMODELING... with color-pleasing mold-resistant tile resurfacing on the floor and the tub areas. The master vanity has been further updated with granite countertop.
Even the PATIO is inviting... captain's bar-height table and chairs to insure you see out to the beach as you enjoy a drink or just gaze at the ocean.
The KITCHEN cabinets are stocked with Mikassa white dishes and stainless steel cookware. Top of the line washer & dryer. Pergo cherry-planked floors meandering into the hall, entrance, and kitchen areas. Pottery Barn wool rugs are used as accents. Counter-height dining table and chairs. And Corian counter tops in the kitchen.
The VIEWS AND SOUNDS are magnificent wherever you are in the unit. REMEMBER, "you can get no closer to the beach than with a CAPTAIN'S WALK STAY." "
PS.... We try to keep beach umbrella and chairs... some beach toys! So far, this has worked well for families... though we don't promise this as sometimes beach supplies can be forgotten and left outside.
PSS... Our unit has wireless internet and a tennis package, which includes 1 hour tennies per day.

We spent 10 days at this villa following my husband's surgery. It was perfect for us and a great place for him to recuperate. The check in and check out were easy. The view is unbelievable! The condo is clean, comfortable, well decorated, convenient, and has everything you could ask for. We felt very much at home and will hopefully return.

The condo was just as described in the listing. This was an excellent location on the island. Amazing views from the balcony. Property was super. Landscaping at Captain's Walk, pool, etc, was beautiful. Would not have changed anything about our vacation. Sherry was kind and polite to work with. You should go there.

Upon our arrival at Captains Walk, we were greeted opening the door to a very clean, eye-pleasing villa. Sherry's villa is very well decorated, has nice furnishings, has a fully-equipped and stocked kitchen, and the washer and dryer are clean and work great, which makes it easier keeping up the tedious job of laundry! The views from the balcony over-looking the beach are magnificant - most definitely one of the best views of the water. We have stayed in numerous privately-owned condos on the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts, but this villa in Captains Walk has, by far, been the nicest, cleanest, and well-appointed unit that we have stayed in. The resort that Captains Walks is located is a very nice area with tennis courts, a general store, and bike rentals within walking distance. (I highly recommed renting a bike - it's a great way to tour the area, while having a fun source of physical activity!) We enjoyed visiting the numerous Marinas on the Island during our visit, the Outlet malls, and going charter fishing. Hilton Head is definitely a must-see and return to place to visit! Thanks, again, for being so helpful and informative about the general "must see and do" information that you provided to my family before our arrival to your villa. We definitely look forward in visiting your villa next year!

This was our 3rd summer in a row to stay in this unit! The oceanfront view and being only steps to the beach speak for themselves. I have seen pictures of other units in this complex, but this one has the best decorating by far. The improvements/changes from the previous year are noticeable when you walk in. This year there was new paint, new linens, new sliding balcony doors, etc. It's a first class vacation home! Thanks Sherry for sharing your condo and for all your hard work!

We loved our Captains Walk! We have stayed at Captains Walk for about the past 5 years and this was definitely one of our favorite condos. The view is EXCELLENT, nothing obstructs the view. The table on the balcony was perfect for eating breakfast and lunch on the balcony. We had enough room at the table for all 4 of us. The condo was very clean which is a must for our family (we have a crawling baby). The kitchen was supplied well for our meals and my husband loved having ceiling fans in all the rooms. This condo will definitely be a first choice for our next stay!

Our family has been to Hilton Head several times. I am so thankful that we have finally found the villa that we want to come back to every year. From the incredible view to the tasteful decor, it was exactly as described. It was super clean. The kitchen was extremely well-organized. I had no problem finding anything I needed. Love this unit at Captain's Walk. This is our second year here and we love it. Great views, easy access to bike trails and good central location for all activities at Hilton Head. Will definitely return.

Outstanding from start to finish. In short, it was the best vacation we have ever had. On a scale of 1 - 10, we rate it a 10.5. The views were amazing, from the living area to, and including, the master bedroom. Extremely quiet and " laid back ". Very safe and secure. The grounds and landscaping was immaculate. What a fantastic week. Thanks for allowing us to visit your villa!

This was our first time visiting Hilton Head. We couldn't have picked a better location. Just steps from both the beach and the pool. The condo was beautiful, well equipped and quiet. It was so relaxing listening to the ocean from a beautiful view. We found some great restaurants and shopping and had fun exploring the Island in addition to taking a day trip to Savannah. We hope to return to Hilton Head again soon and will certainly contact Sherry first for accommodations.
