This two bedroom villa is a 'PREFERRED PROPERTY' with lots of return guests who feel as though they can depend on a clean, upscaled vacation spot. 2013 UPDATES include new baths and entry floors. Every year, the villa is taken down for fresh paint and touch-ups.
422 CAPTAINS WALK is a villa with one of the best views possible on Hilton Head Island. A FOURTH FLOOR-UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW. A unique feature of this 2BR CW is ts ability to have 'full door-length views' from the den. We've made special efforts to maximize this with captains chairs on the deck.

As you enter the villa, warm green tones move you pleasantly past fun art and out to the magnificent ocean. Your eyes quickly glance at the captains table and the large wrap-around leather sofa (by Lazy Boy).
You will want to linger on the balcony for your first glimpses of the blue ocean waves. A Captains Table Set makes this a great place to meet morning and evening to watch beach combers throughout the day.
For guests considering a PALMETTO DUNES OCEANFRONT VILLA, YOU CANNOT GET ANY CLOSER OR ACCESS THE BEACH ANY EASIER THAN WITH A 'CAPTAINS WALK'!!!
A FOURTH FLOOR 'CAPTAINS WALK' IS A ' GREAT LOCATION.' You simply can't get any closer than this. All units in the 'CAPTAINS WALK' complex are all-flush with the ocean. THERE ARE NO V-BACKS.
With only three buildings and 30 units per building, guests feel and indeed are in a very private complex with LOTS OF OCEANFRONT to place their beach umbrella and chairs.
'422 CAPTAINS WALK' has almost 1400 square feet of space, with long views from the balcony or master bedroom. It is wonderfully spacious and close to the beach. To get to the beach, you catch the elevator down, take a short turn, and walk less than fifty steps to the beach gate. The Hilton and Hyatt Resorts are next door, so those wanting a morning paper can walk less than five minutes for this morning ritual.
'SOUNDS OF THE OCEAN' cannot be beat!!!
The DEN has a top-of-the-line, Lazy Boy, leather sectional sofa, which has been a great hit and sits guests comfortably. A nautical striped recliner adds to the circle atmosphere as the family settles in after a day of fun on the beach. The carpet is CLEAN and comfy for the kids who like to make their own space when watching TV or a rented movie. All our rooms have CEILING FANS and FLAT SCREEN TV'S.
There is a Stanley woven seagrass bed in the MASTER BEDROOM which makes one wonder if it's what Santa uses while visiting Hilton Head. The room is large and roomy, with featured art work from HHI. All mattresses in the unit are top of the line; pillow tops on both sides.
The GUEST BEDROOM has two queen-size beds. Again, pillow top and comfy. The second bath area adjoins this room. All bedrooms and the den have CEILING FANS. Both bedrooms have TV's.
BOTH BATHS HAVE RECEIVED REMODELING... with color-pleasing mold-resistant tile resurfacing on the floor and the tub areas. The master vanity has been further updated with granite countertop.
Even the PATIO is inviting... captain's bar-height table and chairs to insure you see out to the beach as you enjoy a drink or just gaze at the ocean.
The KITCHEN cabinets are stocked with Mikassa white dishes and stainless steel cookware. Top of the line washer & dryer. Pergo cherry-planked floors meandering into the hall, entrance, and kitchen areas. Pottery Barn wool rugs are used as accents. Counter-height dining table and chairs. And Corian counter tops in the kitchen.
The VIEWS AND SOUNDS are magnificent wherever you are in the unit. REMEMBER, 'you can get no closer to the beach than with a CAPTAIN'S WALK STAY.' '
PS.... We try to keep beach umbrella and chairs... some beach toys! So far, this has worked well for families... though we don't promise this as sometimes beach supplies can be forgotten and left outside.
PSS... Our unit has wireless internet and a tennis package, which includes 1 hour tennies per day.

Great 5 star resort villa with beautiful beachfront view. The accommodations were fantastic, everything you could wish for and more. The beds were supremely comfortable with wonderful linens. We enjoyed an evening oyster roast around the pool area, dinning on fresh seafood daily, bike ridding and golfing. This was our second visit to your villa. Thanks again for a great trip.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just spent a wonderful Christmas and New Year's at this lovely villa. The views of the ocean from the living areas and master bedroom are breathtaking. The condo is very attractive, nicely furnished, well-equipped -- a great home away from home. The photos give a good sense of the villa. Sherry was very helpful in making the arrangements and answering questions. The Palmetto Dunes location is very convenient to restaurants, golf/tennis/biking/canoeing, shopping, etc. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. This villa was even better than described. We had a wonderful time. The care Sherry puts into her home is evident at every turn. The view is extraordinary, the leather sectional made visiting a delight. the master bed mattress was so comfortable I wanted to take it home with me. We enjoyed tennis, the beach, the pool, riding bikes on the beach and in the neighborhoods and all the great restaurants. We had great weather and would love to visit again. Thank you Sherry for helping make our visit to Palmetto Dunes absolutely perfect.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was our family's second year to stay at 422 Captain's Walk. It was amazing to walk into it for the first time last year & think to myself...'The pictures on the internet do not do it justice.' Our return visit was even better because we knew what to expect...very clean, superb view, & everything that we could possibly need during our week's stay. This is our second year at 422 Captains Walk, and we enjoyed it just as much as we did last year. The Hill's continue to be great to deal with and will assist in any way needed. Hilton Head is a wonderful place to visit, and we cannot get over how well maintained everything is, and the design/lay-out of the island is so inviting. When we arrived this year at the villa, it was as breath-taking as we remembered it. It is very obvious that the upgrades to the villa are continuous and instead of looking like a rental villa, it looks like a home. It is a very clean villa and has plenty of starter items, fresh towels, and fresh bed sheets waiting for you. Thanks to the Hill's for making another vacation to Hilton Head Island very enjoyable and memorable!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a wonderful experience at CW in this condo for a week's vacation in April 2012. The condo is clean, updated, and very comfortable. Wireless internet w/ fast and reliable. The patio has a fantastic, unobstructed view of the ocean. This is the closest you can get to the ocean in Palmetto Dunes condo and has easy access to the beach. We traveled w/ two kids under age 2 and felt very safe with them here. Sherry was wonderful to deal with, responsive when booking, and available for questions. We hope to book again in years to come.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This has been our favorite spot at HHI for the past few years and this year was no exception!! The views are great and the condo is always in perfect shape. The short walk to the beach can't be beat. We saw many dolphins this trip, my daughter even had one swim by within 10 feet of her! Thanks to Sherry for providing such a great place and being so easy to work with! We'll be back as long as week can get our name down before it fills up...Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I've been coming to Palmetto Dunes for 24 years, having stayed in almost every villa complex, and 422 Captains Walk is my new favorite. Excellent layout, first class furnishings, and the closest and best view of the ocean in the plantation. The balcony is a great place to start your day with coffee watching the shrimp boats and dolphin, or end it with a nice glass of wine and the warm breeze coming up from the surf. The complex is situated between the Disney Beach house and the Omni (Hilton) and is within walking distance to the General Store and Alexanders. A great central location in Palmetto Dunes. The villa looks exactly as it does in the photos, impeccably clean, and dealing with the owner couldn't be any easier. I would definitely stay again and will recommend this villa to anyone interested in Hilton Head and Palmetto Dunes.Recommended for: People with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My family loved our stay in 422 captains walk! It was immaculately clean and the decor, artwork was up to date, warm and inviting. The view of the beach was the BEST! I will miss watching the ocean while drinking my first cup of coffee in the morning on the lovely balcony! The owners were very nice to work with and ensured we were all set for our vacation. We will definitely be visiting again! Best spring break ever!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
