Sunrise Cove is located in a quiet cove with a great view of the lake. The neighborhood is peaceful, great for walking and bicycling with very little traffic (Just watch out for the deer!). This is a safe area, the kind of place where you keep the keys and fishing tackle in the boat all the time.
We have a large well lit dock with a covered boat slip, mooring whips and a ladder for those relaxing swims. Safe power (GFI) is supplied at the slips for bass fishermen to charge their batteries. Water depth at the dock is between eight and sixteen feet, depending on the lake level. The fishing at the dock is great. We have our own boat ramp and plenty of parking. You can also park your boat, pontoon, or jet ski on the sandy beach in the front yard without damaging your hull if you like. The level yard makes it especially nice for guests who may not be able to climb hills or steps from the lake to the house. Guests with children will not have to worry that beach balls and toys will roll into the lake without help!
Our Non-Smoking home has a large great room with satellite TV, VCR, and DVD. Wireless satellite internet is supplied throughout the property, even on the dock (extra fee during winter months).
The kitchen is fully-equipped, or you can cook outside on the gas grill. You can enjoy meals at the bar that seats six and the large custom made dinner table that seats twelve. There is also a table that seats six on the porch, along with rocking chairs, a large swing, and three ceiling fans to keep you comfortable.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, TV, VCR, DVD and private bath. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and the children’s bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a double bed. The guest bathroom is located between these two bedrooms.
Several guides are available for bass, striper, crappie and perch fishing. They can pick you up at the dock if you like. Some will even clean your catch. We can also arrange for an old fashioned fish fry with all the trimmings.
Our son is an avid wakeboarder and water skier. He teaches watersports lessons on Lake Murray in his 24 foot Supra wakeboard boat. He can meet you at the dock and provide a great day on the water, even if you’ve never been behind a boat before. Bombing Range Island on the lake is a National Purple Martin habitat, words cannot describe the number of birds that come in to roost during the summer months at dusk. Guided trips down the lake to see this unbelievable sight are available!
By water, our home is ten ten minutes away from Dreher Island State Park and Timberlake golf course.
The town of Prosperity is ten minutes away from the home by car. This is your closest location for shopping and groceries, along with restaurants, antiques, custom furniture shops and a great hardware store. On your way to Columbia, you will find Chapin, another town with great shopping and restaurants. From there you are only a short drive to our state capital.
