My family and I have been coming to Long Island for 12 years and this was the first time we stayed at your house. I love your baskek of heart-shaped rocks. I added one to the collection! I also loved the golf cart...The room in the back of the garage was a great idea! Thanks so much for having us! I'm sure the second half of the week will be as good as the first.

I really like staying in Captain's Quarters. It was so fun. Your house it was wonderful treat for my whole family and I. And I want to say thank you for your hospitality. Dear Sally, What a wonderful home on such a beautiful island. This is more spectacular than I imagined. Thank you for the flowers. It was a wonderful homeymoon until my husband fell on the rocks at Wreck Cove. But I must say the rescue EMTs are wonderful. The trip to Maine Medical was very smooth. We will have to come back to finish a honeymoon sometime in the future. Thank you for everything.

Dear Subsequent Visitor, If you are new,like we were, you may be sitting reading this book (Guest Book)and wondering "What's so special about this place?" "Top 10" list for L.I., Maine (in no particular order). The spar Restaurant, basketball court at community school, golf cart,residents (all of whom would wave to us!),Singing Sands Beach,Chub and his taxi,friendly folks at the island store... and at the Boat House, peace and quiet,Sally Pufall whose caring attention via e-mail made our 1st L.I. visit special before we even got here! Hope your week is as great as ours has been!

My first "island" experience. I could never have predicted the state of relaxation I have achieved here. No laptop connected, no cell phone. Just the opportunity to rediscover LIFE in the beauty and innocence of grazing deer and the tranquility of the ocean. It gave me the gift of time with my family. This vacation was awesome to take! This house was amazing and the island as well. I loved all the pictures and the heart-shaped rocks. This was a perfect place for our family because we got to do things together we usually don't do. I hope we can come back soon.

What a great house on an amazing isaldn!. We had a wonderful time and will, no doubt, return. Especially touching were the lovely photographs of Zode and Mary who lived here for so many years...its clear that they were deeply loved.

"What a wonderful place to come to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Boston area! We talked late each evening, listened to the seagulls, actually put a couple of your puzzles together! (We had a race between two teams of two each!) None of us had had so much fun doing something so simple in many a year! Thanks for a great get-a-way week!" P.S. The air is so heavy and fresh - we slept deeply and felt totally refreshed!

I love your home and want to thank you for the kind hospitality. There are not too many houses with a washer and dryer. The best part of the house though is your basket of (rock)hearts. In 2001 my sisters and I were in Seattle on the beach. We kept finding rocks that were hearts so now it means a lot to us when we find them To see that someone else finds it to be special also touched ...our hearts. May your heart be filled w/joy and your basket w/hearts! Thank you again.

We have come since the summer of 2000. I have watched my son grow in these rooms from baby to boy. Each year we find each other and our center here. To ride in the golf cart full of sun and air. "The converted workshop ('the Offshore Room') was a great place to be by myself. As an artist it was a wonderful place to paint when the sunlight poured in each day. And I especially loved it the night it rained and I could hear the the sound of it on the roof!"
