The perfect setting for a vacation is where you find “A Tree House”. This fun and relaxed beach home has a great kitchen, living room and upper balconies with fabulous views of the Gulf of Mexico, Lake Stallworth and Topsail Hill State Park. This large 2670 square foot home has 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths and sleeps up to 16 guests. Sitting on a quiet residential community south of Scenic Hwy 30A and only 185 walking steps to the white sand beaches, this home also offers a private pool (heated to 86 degrees for $30 per day plus tax), an elevator and multiple indoor and outdoor gathering areas for your large family or for several families to share. Satellite TV.
Ground Floor: The ground floor is tiled and has a common area which houses an air hockey table. Armoire has a few beach towels for your use. Queen bedroom has bedside table with lamp, TV/VCR, side chair, large closet with shelving for clothes storage and French doors leading to a covered porch. This porch is outfitted with a table with 4 chairs – perfect for outdoor dining and 2 padded loungers. Walkway from this porch leads to the fenced in heated pool. Tiled hall bath has a pedestal sink and a large double head shower – dressing area beyond shower has an outer door for direct entry for sandy children.
Second Floor: The second floor has hardwood floors throughout and three bedrooms. In the landing area, there is a twin bed with twin trundle bed. Bunk bedroom has bunk with double bed down, twin bed up, twin trundle, lamp, toys on shelves, TV, chest, closet, French doors to balcony, and a private bath with vanity sink and jetted tub. Queen bedroom has armoire with TV/DVD, 2 bedside tables, 1 lamp, French door to balcony, and private bath with pedestal sink and tub/shower. Second queen bedroom has bureau, 2 lamps, TV/DVD, French doors leading to balcony and private bath with pedestal sink and tub/shower. Shared covered balcony between 2 queen bedrooms is equipped with a porch swing and 2 Adirondack chairs. Laundry room/kitchenette has super capacity stackable front-loading washer/dryer, sink, microwave, and mini frig.
Third Floor: This floor includes the living, dining and kitchen areas and has hardwood floors. Living room has queen sofa bed, 2 plush side chairs, ottoman, loveseat with 2 additional ottomans, 2 side tables, 2 lamps, coffee table, TV/VCR/DVD, stereo with CD and IPod Dock. Dining area has glass table with 6 chairs – other chairs can be brought in to accommodate 8 at this table, rocker, and French doors to grilling deck with gas grill and 2 Adirondack chairs for the chefs. Kitchen has tile counter tops, central island with 2 bar stools, frig with ice maker, glass top range, microwave and dishwasher. Convenient powder room off living area. Balcony off living room has 3 teak tables and 6 teak chairs for outdoor dining, 3 directors chairs and umbrella. Enjoy the panoramic gulf, lake, state park and beach views above the tree tops. Loft area off living room has desk with wireless internet service, reading chair with ottoman and lamp. Master bedroom has king bed, 2 bedside tables, 2 lamps, rocker, dresser, ceiling fan and private bath with 2 pedestal sinks, walk-in shower and jetted tub. Private balcony off master has Adirondack chairs for relaxation.
Outside: Fenced in private pool is 15 x 35 kidney shaped and is surrounded by 4 padded loungers and 2 Adirondacks with ottomans. Pool may be heated to 86 degrees for an additional $30 per day plus tax. Five cars can park in the gravel driveway – with one covered under the house. Outdoor shower for beach clean up. Side porch storage area has beach chairs, floats and coolers.

My family and I rented this house for a week last June (during peak)-we maxed it out with 13 adults, 3 kids and a baby. It was pricey, even splitting it between all of us, but decorated beautifully, with great sleeping accommodations. The top floor has some ocean views but no beach views. The kitchen had a decent amount of pots/pans/plates etc and the grill on the back porch overlooking the pool was nice. The pool is great. It's completely fenced so that if you are traveling with kids you don't have to worry. It's surrounded by plants and trees. We spent lots of time here. The beach is a bit of a hike but was uncrowded and pristine. The preserve is awesome. We loved that the house had a kayak and lots of other beach toys and floats. We even donated some. My biggest complaint was that the sewer started backing up right in the front of the house on day one. They had to come and work on it and even shut off the water for several hours one day. They spread Lyme to kill bacteria, so we were worried about sewer related sickness and about getting burned by a toxic substance. Especially with the kids. In fact, we had a few issues with the house resulting in visists from several workmen nearly everyday that we were there. The elevator had to have work done while we were there and the fridge. Everyone was nice but after spending that much money we really didn't want to be staying somewhere that needed that much work. The guy that came to look at the sewer problem originally said that it had been acting up for awhile, which means that it was a problem that should have been addressed prior to our arrival. I understand that this is a rental property that is used not just as a family vacation home but also as a money maker but it the sewer issue should have been fixed instead of just booking it up for the summer. I left a really long note for the property management company but got no response. That reflects poor customer service as far as I'm concerned. I don't plan to rent with this particular company again and although the house was beautiful, I will look elsewhere this summer. There's just too much to choose from to stay somewhere with this many issues.

While we thought we were diligent in our communication with you all week, it obviously did not totally meet your expectations. I recently stayed here with 9 of my closest girl friends. The home is beautiful and so adorably decorated. The house was more than accommodating and everyone felt very comfortable in their rooms. The bonus was the number of bathrooms and 2 girls to a bath was perfect!! It was extremely comfortable for large gatherings in the morning for coffee and evening chat sessions with everyone. We certainly enjoyed all of the amenities including the many decks, the pool and the laundry which was essential. And the location to the beach is just a few steps away. The beach is semi-private which made for a very relaxing atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I am sure many of my girlfriends would say the same!! Maybe we will get a chance in the future to come back and enjoy it again

Wonderful home! It had plenty of room for several families to spread out and the private pool was a nice break from the beach. The beach is very close; not a problem for a 2 year old to walk to the access. Loved the pottery barn-like decor. And if you like to cook, the kitchen was well equipped. It had plenty of plates and glasses (and acrylic dishes for the kids). We thoroughly enjoyed it!
