We found the home to be very comfortable, nicely decorated and well located. It was basically everything it was described as being. The house was clean and well supplied, bed was comfortable (we only used the master bedroom), WiFi signal was good. We especially enjoyed the comfortable living room, screened porch (outdoor living and dining) and large deck. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the Wai Opae tide pools, where we did some good snorkeling. We enjoyed driving the Red Road and also the back road into Pahoa (about a 20-minute drive). Coming back in the evening we could hear the coqui frogs, which was really fun. We had dinner at Kaleo's, which had a nice atmosphere with live entertainment and good food ( we really liked the Mediterranean platter). As others have said, you do need to buy everything you will need for your stay as there is nothing close by. We felt this was one of the nicer rentals in the neighborhood. We would definitely rent this property again and hope to return.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Coming to Hawaii for the first time we were unsure what to expect. Thank you for making it a magical trip. What a perfect place to stay! My family and I absolutely loved staying in "The house of many sea colours"! No one wanted to leave. We snorkeled every day in the tide pools or champagne ponds which are just up the road. Every time we drove the 'red road' we were astonished by the lush vegetation and scenery. The kids even saw a bunch of wild pigs. We zip-lined, took a helicopter tour to witness the devastation of the lava flowing into the ocean and just hung out on the beaches. The house had everything you could need while on vacation we especially loved the outdoor shower. Have fun trying to catch the geckos? Thanks Sandra. You have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The snorkeling right across the street was glorious, some of the biggest formations we've seen if you go out a bit further. Your information binder is the best we have seen and we've stayed in five different rental houses in the Kapoho area. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home. PS The flower arrangement was beautiful!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We have had a wonderful week here. We have snorkeled, volcano visited and explored much of the island as possible. Despite all our explorations, we did find anything we enjoyed as much as the area right around here...... we head into fall with a sense of peace...Many ThanksDid you find this review helpful?
