We cannot begin to express the fabulous time we had in Kings Beach earlier this month. Your home is outstanding in regards to: furnishings/ammenities~extremely comfortable; location~we were able to walk to almost all adventures we had planned; and pet perfect~we did not need to worry about our dog being outside while using the BBQ and hot tub. The view of the lake and openness of the cabin created such a peaceful atmosphere for us. Also, thank you for the information about local hikes and eateries. We had a terrific time and look forward to returning next summer.

We chose this cottage because it was pet friendly, which was really great. The cottage itself was very sweet. Basic amenities and comfortable for a family of four and two small dogs. The only complaint we had was the fact you have to provide a deposit ahead of time that does not go toward your payment - and then we had to chase down the owner to get it back (and are still short about $50 for reasons unknown...). This may prevent us from renting there again, as this seems like an unusual rental policy that left us a bit uncomfortable.
Owner response:Review #1475732 Updated Review: Nice, Basic Cottage I just wanted to make a correction on our last review about the payment difference of $50 - after spending an hour with Paypal support to figure it out, turns out this was a Paypal error and there is no question of the full refund from Savannah. :)

This cabin made for a wonderful stay in Tahoe! Right off the bat I have to say that it was great dealing with the owner, Savana. She was easy to reach and gave us lots of great info about the area. The cabin is really cozy and has such a great homey feel. It is was very clean and clearly well maintained. The location is perfect! With views of the lake it was only a two minute walk to the beach not to mention a convenient walk in to town for coffee and dinner(I highly recommend the Sushi!) and being in Kings Beach we had access to so many resorts, which we definitely took advantage of! To me it is the quintessential Tahoe cabin. We can't wait to come back in the summer!

Very accurate in description. We were able to go to 4 ski resorts easily during our stay. The hot tub with a view of the lake was a welcomed relief to body, mind and spirit. Savana was available for questions before our trip and as soon as you walk into the cabin you can see her attention and care. We'll be back next year or maybe in the summer. Our dog loves the snow, too.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at your place in August 2010. The weather was a bit bazzare when we were there, coldest they say you'd had in years that time of year, but your cozy cabin was the ticket for an awesome getaway. We had to wrap up a little more than expected when going out but the view from the cabin at the lake with the sun shining felt like summer and the hikes were great. We appreciate you having games and equipment for our use as well. We will certainly visit again. We were not sure how we would like Tahoe in summer time but it was FABULOUS!

Place was nicely located for all our activities including a wedding reception, gambling, hiking and water skiing. After each night, we enjoyed the hot tub on the property. Amentities were as stated including Wifi! Property was clean and came with an owner book of suggestions/tips on what to do - great hiking suggestions!

Love the location for summer vacation. View of lake from dining area and deck/yard. Beds are comfortable. Rooms were quite at night for the most part. Decor is nice with attention to detail. Tiny kitchen has all you really need. We cooked several fine meals there. Would like some floor lamps (no place to read) because the overhead lighting is glaring harsh at night if you want to relax. Suggest to bring your own beach towels if you use a lot of them. We will definitely go back in summer if we can; maybe bring a book light this time. Backyard is very nice for relaxing. We did not use the hot tub, but it was spotless. We think this would be a great winter location with easy highway access. Very pleased with cleanliness and charm of this place. We loved walking to Kings Beach with the provided folding chairs and umbrella. We set up and watched the day go by there. So convenient to just walk back to the cottage any time we needed anything, that we often went twice a day to hang out at the beach. We also walked to various restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very Relaxing...

I'm hesitant to write a great review, cuz then it won't be as available when we go to rent it next time! However, it is a darling cabin, and it is really in a great location! The view of the lake is very special, and the price is extremely fair, for what you are getting! The cabin is warm, and while it's not exactly the way I would have decorated it (very spiritual, very Indian), it's still homey. It's well maintained, clean, within walking distance of the beach, fun to have some extras in the storage (bikes, umbrellas, beach toys), and all around a great place to stay. The only small downside is that the one and only bathroom is downstairs and the 2 bedrooms are upstairs . . . making it a bit of a challenge in the middle of the night. And because there is only 1 bathroom, make sure you and your fellow housemates are friendly with one another :-)

My fiance' and I rented this cabin/home and it was just right! Very cozy and welcoming decor. The hot tub is a big PLUS! Relaxing and watching the sunset every night while in the hot tub was awesomely beautiful! I highly recommend this rental for 1-2 couples, or a small family. Very convenient location too. Savana (owner) is very nice and accommodating!

We've been there a few times, both for a private weekend away and with our whole family. It's very cozy, an easy walk to the lake, quiet. The kitchen is complete, too.

We really loved this quaint little Tahoe retreat! It was just as described and pictures were very accurate. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and the bikes. It was a pleasure to get a view of the lake from the deck-something that is hard to come by at Lake Tahoe! The location is good- local restaurants, bakeries. The only down side would be that you don't have beach access from the cabin, (you can walk 1/4 mile and you have a nice area.) We definately look foward to our next stay here!

Three of us had a lovely time visiting in the summer. The cottage is small but well appointed and conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, the beach, and hiking trails. The cabin was cool in the heat of sumer, and we enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen when we were not trying out some of the nearby restaurants. The owner was very helpful, as was information on things to do and see which was left in the cabin.

The hot tub is not private. There are condos with people's balconies looking down on the whole back yard! We spent most of our time in the back yard and felt no privacy at all. When we pulled up to the house I wanted to turn around and leave. It is very very old in a very modern community. There are very small views of the lake through homes that are close together. There is no lighting in the back yard and you have to walk out the front door to walk to the back yard. Very dangerous at night. There are better places to stay at tahoe for the same price. My husband still has a rash....we thought it was fleas, but now the Doctor says it was bed bugs! There are 2 bikes provided which was nice.
Owner response:Scam. This guest stayed her entire reserved time with no complaints. AFTER her visit she listed her complaints in order to get a refund from me. My page clearly states updated Tahoe CABIN. "Bed bugs" do not live at altitude. Please see other reviews or contact me if you have any questions.

This place was great for my sister and her two kids to join me for a long ski weekend in Tahoe. It was very cozy (like a Tahoe cabin should be) and the kids loved it - especially the hot tub! We found it very convenient to everything we wanted to do on the lake, and enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants. It was clean and had everything we needed, and we loved all the floor pillows while we watched movies by the fire.

My husband and I stayed here with our teenage grandkids in July and we all loved it. It was easy to contact the owner and she was helpful and prompt. The location is terrific- you can easily walk to Kings beach for a little Thrift store shopping, post office, movie or sushi. The lake views are fantastic and it feels like you are in the forest. The cabin is a vintage one, which we love, (since we are too). There's no dishwasher, which we didn't mind, you can see the lake as you wash. The place was very clean. It feels like a friends house, very homey, with lots of attention to details and not a commercial rental. Great hot-tub and deck, comfy beds and good selection of videos. We've already told friends about it and will stay there again next summer.

This quaint, cozy cabin has all you need for a great vacation. We have stayed here a couple of times and found that the convenience to anything you need is at your fingertips, yet you feel "away from it all". Not far from the ski resorts or trails, you're home quick to relax after an exciting, but tiring day. The owner has covered all you need, is great to work with and I would highly recommend making memories here.

Five of us 20-somethings rented this cabin for three nights in February 2008 and had a wonderful time. Very easy to get to Northstar ski resort. Property was clean and well-maintained. We used the hot tub every night, and the views of the lake were breathtaking! The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Only downside is that the one bathroom is on the 1st floor. The owner is easy to contact and provided good customer service. Would recommend this to anyone!

Rustic, old-Tahoe style cabin. We rented for 1 week with our 2 children (ages 4 & 7 ) and had a memorable week. We used the kayaks, walked to nearby town and restaurants, and came home everyday for a hot-tub session with a great view!. Perfect for a small family or couple - great location to do hiking, walks, beach at Kings beach or Sand Harbor (beautiful!!!). not fancy or plush but very comfortable...
