My friends and I have been renting this beautiful house for our annual weekend getaway for the last few years. The house is amazing, great rustic feel, conveniently located and clean. The 35 ft chimney and cozy living room make it a perfect area to simple relax and enjoy your friends company. Kitchen is well equipped and bedrooms are always clean and it has a huge patio with a hot tub. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed many great memories and am certain that there are more to come.

Rented during July, 2010 and was amazed at how close the property was to the description. We had 8 adults and 4 young people in our party from Orlando, FL, Minneapolis, MN, Harrison, AR and Tuscon, AZ. Everyone enjoyed the property and were amazed at the location and amenities. We "did" Whistler and adjoining area as we had rented a 18 passenger bus so we could go together. Had no problems with anything. This year will be in Gatlinburg, TN for our "get together". This is an excellent choice for the Whistler area.

We had a great week at this property with an extended family including 4 children under 7 years old. Lots of space with the multiple bedrooms, and a great common area as well. We enjoyed our time, and will be back again.

This house was jointly rented ,my family and my brother and his family, 10 in total. We found it comfortable well equipped and spacious. Everyone enjoyed the house and Whistler so much we returned the following year. It was like coming home. If you like laid back and meals at home this is ideal, We cooked and served large evening meals with ease. The owners made us welcome and ensured we had a local contact. The house is outside the main village but as we had hire cars this was not an issue. The local supermarket Nesters is well stocked. It would be our first choice if and when we return to Whistler.
Owner response:We love to cook and are happy to hear that the kitchen and its amenities were a success. If you do return to Whistler, we would love to see you.

We stayed here for the Olympics and it was more than a 5-minute walk to the Village. Thankfully, there were shuttle buses, since there was no parking in the Village during the Olympics. The home is large and beautiful. However, we ran into a couple of issues. It was very dusty. Several of us had severe allergies from the dust (mainly from underneath the furniture/beds). I have been renting homes for decades and this was only the second time I was asked to wash the linen we used. For such a large group, this was nearly an impossible task. The dryer was also taking 2 hours to dry a load of sheets and towels. Since we were paying a premium for staying here during the Olympics, I think the owner should have taken care of the laundry. But we did our best and got the loads done. I would not choose to stay at this rental again.
Owner response:Unlike other guests we have had, this renter did not notify us in advance of any allergies. This home is cleaned and maintained by a reliable cleaning service that I have used for more than five years. I personnally attend to semi-annual heavy cleaning and was in the home immediately prior to their stay. During the stay we exchanged a number of emails about renter concerns and questions. All replies from the renter indicated satisfaction with our response at that time. Regarding the laundry, our rental agreement states the laundry policy. This renter signed the agreement more than eighteen months prior to their stay and did not request or negotiate laundry arrangements in advance. The slow dryer was due to the fact that the dryer had been pushed all the way back into the laundry closet, crimping the flexible exhaust hose. With a positive trouble shooting attitude, this issue could have been dealt with easily by the renter by pulling the dryer forward a few inches. I acknowledge the feedback about walking time to the village. The time quoted was for physically fit adults in the summer, and is a bit longer for those with a stroller or those negotiating snowy roads. Good advance communication about expectations of the home and amenities on the part of the renter would have gone a long way towards alleviating their concerns.

Thank you for renting us your Whistler house last week. We had a wonderful time and loved the house. It is well located and in a great neighborhood. The interior is charming and cozy. Even our boys seemed to take to it, making themselves at home rather immediately—unusual for being in a new environment. Everything in the house seemed to be in working order, from the hot tub to the heating to the Internet (yes, sadly, we were not immune to the call of the outside world).
