Five of us girls visited for two weeks in August 2010 and had a very relaxing stay. The weather was perfect, the hot tub was refreshing, and the terrain in the Ocoee area is very beautiful. We must have taken 500 pictures of the mountain scenery. We used the hummingbird feeders and enjoyed the visits from the adorable little birds. Sammy and Wilma are outstanding neighbors, very helpful and hospitable. We highly recommend this home to everyone, especially to those looking for a quiet respite from the madding crowd.
Owner response:glad u enjoyed the stay. jim and ellen hunter

Beautiful Country

My wife, daughter, granddaughter and I stayed here for four days and loved it. The Hunters were very prompt in getting us information on the house and key. Very nice house and close to all the water activties. We didn't go rafting but did swim in Parksville lake which is very close. Close to Cleveland if you need to run into town. But beware no cell phone signal if you are with AT&T. But that is not a bad thing. It is listed as having internet and it is available but not wireless. I never did get mine to hook up but not a big thing for me. I would suggest to the owners to put in a wireless router. It is listed as pet friendly, we did not take our small dogs and sort of glad we didn't because the fenced in back yard would work great for bigger pets but would not keep a smaller one in. But it does have a large back yard that you could walk your dogs in. Great hot tub and got to meet the house keeper who is a very nice lady. If you are wanting close to Ocoee River and love beautiful country I would highly recomend staying here.
Owner response:wireless rounter was taken out because it did not work most of the time. u can just plug in to the internet box for a secured connection. sometimes u need to plug in computer with it off and unplug the modem to start it. only verizon cell phone works here in the mtns. we have long distance on my telephone at 5 cents a minute. thank u

My in-laws, husband, and I stayed here in July 2007 and it was so peaceful and quiet! It was also the first time we went white-water rafting and it was so close we went three times! The back yard was perfect for our little pugs, too! We're going back again this summer!

We stayed at the cabin for New Years and it was beautiful! Being from Auburn we don't see much snow, but we actually saw some up here for the holiday! The cabin is wonderful, close enough the Cleveland, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet environment. Thank you Jim and Ellen it was wonderful!!! Sorry it took me so long to post something! Leah

Jim and Ellen, Just arrived back from our weekend at your home, and I have to say it was one of the best. Your home is beautiful, well kept, and furnished with everything anyone could need. We went up the river and did some sightseeing. The area is great and and the people are helpful. We just want to let you know that we've never been in a place where you walk in for a short stay and it feels like you have come home.. Thanks you for the opportunity. Great home, great price, great location!
