"The Ark Julie Marlowe" - An ark is a house built on pilings over the water. Ours is located in downtown Sausalito in front of the yacht harbor, it consists of two separate one bedroom units which may be connected if desired.
The waterfront unit has a sitting room, bedroom and kitchen opening to a large deck overlloking the yachts.
The streetfront unit has a bedroom, sitting room and a small warm-up area.
Both units are beautifully decorated for a quiet stay (NOT for parties) - each unit sleeps two.
30 minutes to Muir Woods. 45 minutes to Wine Country, 20 minutes to San Francisco.

Year Purchased: 1986
An Ark is a house on piles over water with one end connected to land, I was very fortunate to be able to purchase this building in l986-- The ark is now a historic building erected in 1917- I am the third owner. The orignal house was a barge jacked up on piles. I personally rebuilt the house in 1986 in the same theme of the original barges.

Our Ark is in the center of the downtown area-park your car in our private space in front of the ark and walk accross the street to shops,coffee houses, resturants, markets, boat rentals, bike rentals and the ferry to San Francisco is 5 mins walk down yacht strand next to the ark.
