Misleading - don't expect to get what you are expecting...

The unit we were rented was NOT AN END UNIT, as is stated in the VRBO. Also there is a queen bed and two single beds pushed together NOT TWO QUEEN BEDS. There is NO WIFI. I am an IT person and it is a very simple reason there is no WIFI - there is no internet or modem or router in the unit. The only WIFI is the slow connection from the clubhouse which is a block away and can not connect from inside the condo. The unit was clean, and that is some challenge as the vacuum blows out more dust than it picks up. the dishes are old and cracked. The master bedroom has carpet that goes into the bathroom, not a great idea, carpet is very grungy in the toliet area. The unit is well located to the Oak Creek community including some outlet stores and some nice hiking areas. It was spacious enough for a family of 4 and the rates were reasonable. My rating would be different if the unit was properly described. It certainly could us some upgrading.

Owner response: I'm at a loss to explain this...I rented this unit to an elderly lady (Jackie)for this time period...The wi-fi connection and the sleeping setup was explained to her at that time..we have two units - one with two queens (end unit) and another with a king and two singles (middle unit)...That was the one she decided on...This review appears to be written by a young man...There seems to be some miscommunication between parties on your end...We have always found the Wi-Fi connection speed to be more than adequate and have no problem accessing it from the unit....Very, very sorry you were disappointed...We strive to do our best where our guests are concerned and urge them to contact us with any issues...Thank you, Mike & Betsy

Canyon Mesa

This unit was clean and tidy and well-contained. We stayed for 4 months (Dec-March) and any problems encountered were dealt with by Mike *immediately*. This end unit does not get as much sun during the winter months as would be welcome, but come spring it was glorious. Canyon Mesa and Oak Creek Village are highly recommended to anyone who wishes to visit Sedona - the views are always breathtaking and the neighbours and townsfolk are most friendly. One drawback - Mike: the website still needs to be updated - there is NO king bed, both are queens.

Perfect place to stay

It was so nice to come "home" to this condo every night after being in workshops all day long. This condo was very comfortable and quiet and was located close to a grocery store and restaurants. Will stay here again when in Sedona. Appreciate Mike and Betsy sharing their place with us.

Not Quite What We Expected

The condo was reasonably comfortable and the location was very good. However, the condo was not an end unit as stated, but rather 2nd from the end. Basic supplies were pretty skimpy or didn't exist (bar soap, paper towels, toilet paper). The biggest issue is the unit is advertised as having WiFi (Wireless Internet), which is a stretch. At times, it was possible to get WiFi if you went to the far corner of the dining room, right up against the wall (literally). In reality, to get a full signal, it required walking across the driveway to the club house which is where the network actually exists. We called the property manager, Pat, and she indicated she was not aware of the unit having internet access. We called Mike and left a message to see if we were possibly doing something wrong, but he never returned our call. The unit is advertised as having a Queen bed, but there were twins in the 2nd bedroom. Possibly this was our error by not specifically asking. Overall we really enjoyed Sedona and the trip would have been just terrific if not for the issues and misinformation we experienced.

Our cleaning crew has been with us over 5 years and we've never had a shortage of supplies reported to us by any guests. Regarding the internet, we've never experienced any problems with connections from this unit, nor have we had any negative feedback from anyone. Might be your computer? Our 11-night stay at Canyon Mesa Country Club was the longest stopover on our 5-week holiday, and what a little gem it proved to be. First of all we loved the location, very peaceful with a private feel to it, just a stone's throw from Oak Creek Village and a 15 minute drive into Sedona itself. The scenery, right from our doorstep, was stunning. There proved to be so much to do in terms of possible hikes and day trips that we found it helpful to list otions in categories of "must do", "should do", and "would do if..." We travelled with our 2 dogs and appreciated that the condo owners were so accommodating. We found no restrictions on trails, other than having to leash the dogs on the popular trails, which wasn't a problem even though our dogs are not used to being leashed on the trails where we live. We found less populated trails close to the condo, used more by local dog owners and these were off-leash. Just watch out for trail hazards such as prickly pear cactus spikes and red ants, both of which pack a powerful "ouch" for dogs and two-legged creatures alike. Dogs aside, we found the condo had everything we needed. It was definitely an unexpected bonus to have 2 bathrooms. No wi-fi in the condo itself but a reliable connection both in the clubhouse and on the patio. Neighbors were really friendly as were country club staff. Definitely a highlight. We really hope to make it back here one day.

Wonderful Stay

What a great place to stay! We traveled to Sedona from Michigan for a family wedding and definitely plan to come back again. The condo was just as described, centrally located, very clean, and well equipped. We traveled with my elderly Dad and it is very accessible. Great communication from Mike & Betsy before we arrived.

We've stayed at Canyon Mesa Country Club before. It is a beautiful place. It's so peaceful and the people are so friendly. Mike & Betsy's place is perfect for that much needed vacation. We stayed a week but wished it had been for a longer period. The unit is very comfortable and situated across from the clubhouse and pool. Everything you need is in the unit. You just need to bring your food and clothes. It was great! We will definitely be planning to return next year.

Absolutely charming Condo !

We spent 8 days at this wonderful golf resort just minutes south of Sedona. It was a great home base for visits to the Grand Canyon, Williams, Jerome. The condo was immaculate, well furnished and as part of the golf club we had access to the pool, jacuzzi and tennis courts (as well as golf course). The women in the group loved the shops of Sedona and I personally loved the Pink Jeep Tour. Mike Fedor was a pleasure to do business with and made the whole transaction so very easy. Anthony Rauseo

Great place to stay!!

We stayed here the first week of July,2011 and had a great time. The home is clean and well cared for. The pool was perfect, especially since it was July and we have a 7 and 9 year old. We were centrally located to everything from the Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon, Sedona, and my favorite, Slide Rock State Park. Thanks, Mike and Betsy, for a great time.

We loved the condo! It was just like the pictures and description. The condo was clean, in a great location, had great views and was well stocked with everything we needed. We brought our dog and were pleased that our condo had grass outside the front door. Many of the other condos didn't. The golf course was so beautiful and just the right size. We were so impressed with everything, we extended our stay. We recommend it highly to anyone wanting to visit Sedona. It sure beats staying in a motel. Be sure to read the guest book comments from other renters. We all give our favorite spots to visit.

The townhouse was much better than expected! In addition to the fantastic location which was conveniently located close to everything. The town house was in a beautiful gated community with a lovely pool, hot tub, tennis courts, club house and gorgeous golf course! The town house itself was nicely appointed with all the comforts of home with a nice back patio for relaxation. We will definitely be coming back for another trip! I highly recommend this lovely property.

Excellent Place to Stay

It turned out to be everything we expected. The gated property is very nice with all the amenities we needed. It was very quiet -- no busy touristy feel to it. We visited to sightsee and play golf and we're left extremely satisfied. Be sure to get up early to watch the sun rise over the red rocks near the condo --BEAUTIFUL!!
