The condo was fantastic. Fabulous location, super layout and well equipped. Ideal for two families but comfortable for our family consisting of two children and a friend. Lots of storage for belongings. Our host was gracious and accommodating and we felt that had we needed anything (which we didn't) we would have been immediately taken care of... we had great views of the mountains and we enjoyed the rooftop hot tub. We have stayed six times at telluride and this location was the best. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at the same place last year and liked it so much we stayed here again. Knowing the location and layout made for an even better trip. See RJ review from 2012. The owner makes it easy to reserve the property and his welcoming person handles any questions before and during trip. We feel very comfortable knowing that everything will be ready when we arrive. Clean, we'll maintained, so close the the trails and lifts. It is now like our home away from home in Telluride.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My wife and I were lucky enough to find this 3 bedroom townhouse in Telluride Village on VRBO.com. Our two adult sons and their significant others joined us for our best snow riding vacation in the last 15 years. We have stayed at many ski-in, ski-out properties in the western US and Canada. This place was the best. Two ski lockers on the ground floor large enough to hold two pairs of skis and poles and four snowboards, and an underground parking space. Living room, dining room, kitchen, and large bedroom and bath on the first floor. Sitting room, large bedroom with whirlpool tub, steam shower and bath on the second floor. Another bedroom with queen size bed and couch on the third floor. The window in this bedroom has the best view of the mountains. It was very convenient to sit on cushioned benches by the ski lockers, put on our boots, grab our gear and walk 20 yards across the brick plaza to the trail near Meadow lift. Lift 4 (Village Express) and the gondola station is a short walk through the village. The listing accurately described the location. The listing photos did not do it justice. It deserves a video to really see its features. It was clean and well-maintained. The owner and concierge were very responsive answering my email and phone calls before the trip and during the vacation. I would recommend this property to anyone who does not want the same week as we do. (We are coordinating our calendars for next season's vacation.) While there are wonderful restaurants in Telluride Village and the town of Telluride, be sure to make a reservation for La Marmotte restaurant. An exceptional meal was enjoyed by all. The WiFi broadband Internet connection was very important to us and the network handled our combination of iPads, iPhones, and Mac laptops. There was a television in every bedroom and the living room, but it was only used to watch the Super Bowl when we arrived.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We just returned from a one-week stay in Telluride. The one negative about our trip was that we stayed in this condo. The description provided by the owner is misleading and makes the condo sound much nicer than it really is. The price quoted seemed reasonable based on the description. However, it is only an average unit with a substandard kitchen. Our entire group of 5 adults was disappointed. We want a comfortable and attractive unit with a fully functioning and well-equipped kitchen. I don’t want to spend any of my vacation time scheduling repairs. The listing indicates you can purchase discounted lift tickets. We found out a few days before our trip that these are no longer available. However, the statement is still in the listing as of today. The description states that the unit is “True Ski-in and ski-out access” and “Put on your ski boots, step outside, lock in and ski down.” However, when you step outside from door where the ski lockers are, you are stepping onto a plaza with brick pavers, and it is normally cleared of snow. It is actually a 30 yard walk to the slope (not far) and another 20 yards to walk to the top of the hill to put your skis on. That’s fine, just be honest! Another false claim is that there is a “fully equipped gourmet kitchen”. However, the major appliances are old and low-end. We were told upon our arrival that the ice maker and the trash compacter didn’t work. Also, the TV in the Master BR can only be used to watch DVDs. During our stay the oven stopped working. The countertop appliances are the cheapest plastic ones made. The cooking utensils are old and well used and the pots and pans are thin and cheap. The wood edging on the countertops is beaten up and the panel next to the refrigerator is warped from water exposure. No one would call this a “gourmet” kitchen. There are other instances of deferred maintenance. Several of the ones mentioned in an earlier review remain. Also, there is a wood framed window inside the shower of the 3rd bath. The wood is black and rotted and nasty looking. Most of the lighting is provided by overhead spot lights and track lighting. There is only one small lamp in the main floor living area. It is difficult to read or work on the computer in the evening. The eyestrain is too much. The beds are comfortable and the washer/dryer work. The ski lockers are large and convenient. The hot tub works. The closets are large. There is a grill on the deck and a starter, but no fire extinguisher.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, sightseeing.
Owner response: Everything works, including the trash compactor (we removed the keys) all the TV's and even the ice maker. Occasionally it freezes (as we discovered when they arrived) so we brought a bag of ice complimentary, since they didn't want a service call while they were there. The custom refrigerator isn't low end and neither was the high-end Amana range that they broke after they set it on "Clean" and couldn't turn OFF. So, they turned off the breaker. The entire control panel for the oven is no longer working and after paying for a service call, SourceGas says the entire range must be replaced because the control panel isn't made any longer (it was only 7 years old) and I have to purchase another twenty-two hundred dollar range. That was 100% their doing. My partner/concierge told me when they checked in that they were tired and cranky and to expect problems from them. Indeed, they were ungrateful and tiresome. They didn't come to ski and have fun, they came to criticize and complain. We jumped through hoops for them and they complain that they couldn't figure out how to use one of the 4 Televisions? Plastic appliances? OMG, they need to enjoy life and stop breaking things that they don't know how to operate. I'm sure they wrote this review after we told them they are not welcomed back again.

My wife and I rented a condominium from this owner in June 2011. We had several things wrong with it. The biggest concern was the gas grill. The concierge stated the igniter switch did not work thus we would have to use matches. Of course we had to go to the store to purchase our own matches. When we attempted to start the GAS GRILL, IT CAUGHT FIRE due to bad gas connection! Once we found the extinguisher & put fire out, we discovered the extinguisher expired in 1999. According to a fireman, we were fortunate it even worked. We paid over a significant amount of money for a condo that was more like a run down rustic cabin in the woods. There were a multitude of other concerns found - poor reception on television; Wi-Fi did not work; ripped towels; broken ice maker; several light bulbs burnt out; multiple loose tiles on kitchen floor, no crank handles to open windows, screen door was off track and could not be put back on; toilet paper holder falls off wall, broken glass in the door on entertainment center, shower handle in master bathroom was broken. We made several attempts to address the matters with the concierge but nothing was done. After the weekend, there was a multitude of emails were sent back/forth with owner to discuss compensation. He refused to consider it. We highly recommend D O N O T R E N T from this person.Owner response: First of all, this guy burned up our Weber Grill when he put lighter fluid on it and takes no responsibility for his actions. Fortunately his wife was smart enough to look in the kitchen for our fire extinguisher. Mind you, if he said (and he did say) that the grill fire was the worst issue, then what is his real complaint five months later? It can't be the brand, new Weber grill we installed the next day. So what is he really complaining about? The answer is that he used the fact that he burned up our Weber grill as an excuse to demand a refund for his entire, 5 days stay or alternatively, come back next year during Bluegrass Festival weekend for free (and stay in the same condo, mind you!) So I guess it wasn't such a bad condo. The rest of the complaint doesn't deserve a response, but we have to. We could have charged him for his carelessness, but we didn't. We were glad he was gone. We live here and maintain all our properties with the same attention to details. He said, "some light bulbs burned out"? We walk through the condo with every renter when you arrive, turn on every light and show you some of the neat features of the condo. If a light was out it would have been replaced at that moment. But in fact, before you get there we check all lights. He said there were "Wi-fi and TV" issues? It's cable. What doesn't work? He was not nice from the moment he arrived. His friends were clearly embarrassed by his behavior and were cringing after we told him we'd bring a new grill the next day, he said that wasn't soon enough, he wanted it now! Most people are nice. This guy is not.

We stayed at this condo with 2 other couples for my husband's 30th birthday and had an amazing time! This condo is so cool- it has 3 floors and is literally right in Mountain Village. We walked to restaurants and bars and the best part is the free gondola that goes into town. We used that as our only mode of transportation the whole time. The guys went mountain biking and didn't need to drive anywhere. The girls went hiking right out the door, no need for a car ever. We cooked a big birthday dinner in the condo and had everything we needed right there. We would totally rent this condo again when we return to Telluride.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

When we originally booked the condo, the owner required that we pay the entire reservation amount up front. We were originally leery, but the price was so good we just figured, "what can we lose...we're coming" so we paid even though it was over 6 months in advance. Well, it was unbelievable. The condo is beautifully appointed. It has a roof top hot tub, and it's right on the Plaza, at the ski lift and we could ski right to the door, take off our skis, leave our equipment in the private, heated ski-lockers, and head up to the hot tub. The lockers were large enough for all 10 of us to keep our skis, snowboards and boots. We've stayed in Telluride lots of times, but this condo and it's location were like a gift. We got more skiing done in 1 day than we do in a week in Vail. No lines. Great snow. And the perfect location. Our kids (ages 7, 9 and 13) came and went without need for adult supervision, including the 5 year old that was our friends'.) The kids left at night to go to the pizza place by themselves, and my husband and I, together with another couple couldn't believe how great it was. We could leave the kids, head into town for dinner (we recommend Excelsior Cafe and Allreds restaurant) and the kids would call and say they were home and it was the best. We've already booked again for this Christmas week and again in March. We love Telluride and we loved the condo.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

About the owner: My husband and I purchased this exceptional condo because it was the BEST location in the core. Right next to the new Capella Hotel, it has restaurants within 10 yards and the gondola is only 150 yards away! We've fixed it up so it's comfy and when we bought a house about 2 min away, we kept the condo so we could have it for friends when they visit. p.s For security reasons, all bookings must be done over the telephone.
