New Carmel Dream Cottage with Breathtaking Ocean Views

  We booked this home for the Thanksgiving holiday for ourselves and a friend who was flying in to celebrate with us. Tom and Cyndi were very, very helpful and accomodating. Because we weren't sure when our friend was leaving, we were not sure what day we would be departing and Tom was very flexible with us. The venue is perfect for a couple or two couples. We very much enjoyed sitting by the fire and catching up until late in the evenings -- something you could never do with such comfort in a hotel. The fact that we could walk into the well-stocked kitchen, whip up a snack and pour a little more wine, made it all the better. It is a very clean home and well laid out for entertaining. It is also very conveniently located to the town, which was important to us, as we liked to stroll in for dinner. My husband likes to run, and it was very easy to get down to the beach (though the uphill on the way back left him a little breathless.) There is a beautiful deck out back with a wonderful view and a BBQ. Too rainy on our visit, but we will try it out next time. This was our fist vacation rental and we now can't imagine why anyone would stay in a hotel. We highly recommend this property in particular, and hope that it will be available the next time we visit beautiful Carmel.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  A lovely, warm, comfortable home beautifully equipped. Four of us enjoyed it for a week and would definitely return. Cooking in the wonderful kitchen was terrific. Everything you need is right there. The house is perfectly located and an easy walk to town or drive to sights. Thank you for the hospitality.

  We had a great time at your home in Carmel - only had one really rainy day(Christmas) but took a cab down to Rocky Point for dinner so didn't spend time negotiating the slick roads. Your place is absolutely everything one could ask for in a beautiful place to rent. I can not think of anything you and Cyndi could do to make it any better. Had friends from San Jose visit us and were so impressed that they plan to contact you for a future rental - they get to Carmel about four times a year so I am sure that you will hear from them. Again, I want to thank you for a wonderful place to spend a memorable Christmas week. You can be sure that when I plan another visit to the Monterey peninsula I will be in touch with you.   Tom - Just a note of thanks to you and Cyndi. We truly enjoyed the lovely home - the location was ideal for us. We walked into Carmel several times to eat lunch, have coffee, and/or shop. We even ate dinner in several evenings and watched tons of movies. We both needed "down time" and rest. And that is just what we received. We did other "touristy" things too. I am especially anxious to have my photographs (8 rolls!) developed. I am an amateur photographer and have a display at a local gallery. I'm hoping some of these will be good enough to do a show with a California theme. The only bad day was our whale watching adventure; I got seasick....something I've never done before. We've been on cruises, on boats of all types but this was a nasty first time. But I recovered quickly the next day. We hated to leave; we want to return; my husband has heard nothing but raves about the house. Thank you again. Betty
