Good Morning, Cathey: We didnt have our computer with us and sorry that we missed your call...we were out and about quite a bit....We had a super time at Wild Dunes and your villa was everything we had hoped for and more. What a beautiful location and condo. It was exceptionally comfortable and so well appointed we lacked nothing! The weather was very good and any rain we had was in the evening or during the night. We got a bit wet one evening walking from the Lettered Olive. Aileen and I walked for nearly an hour every morning along the beautiful beach which set us up for our breakfast ! We loved Charleston and our visit to Boone Hall was very interesting. Sullivan's Island was quaint and very busy as was Isle of Palms. Thank you ... Maggie

We love Wild Dunes and were happy to find this wonderful condo on short notice.. Cathey was easy to work with and the price was reasonable. It was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. Each room had a separate door and there were balconies on the front and back. Beach access was located across the street and bike trails run through the resort. Sullivan's Restaurant and Poogans Porch are two of our favorite restaurants. The Charleston Culinary tour is wonderful. Check out Awendaw Green for their famous Barn Jams and Kudzu Bakery in Mt. Pleasant for the best cakes, pies, cookies and prepared food and lunches.

We were so impressed with the lovely finishes and luxurious touches in this quaint condo. Like a 5-star hotel and a classic B & B combined into one. Marble bathrooms, fluffy white towels, new sinks and faucets, super kitchen...it was great. Wish the weather would have cooperated so we could have used the pool and beach, but that's not the condo's fault!

A clean, comfortable, and spacious villa with upgrades to the master shower and kitchen. Our stay was peaceful and quiet with a nice view of the pool off the 2nd story rear deck. The property owner was immediately responsive to our questions and wonderful to work with. The free WiFi is fast, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and there is a great high ceiling in the living room. Coming home to this villa after a night in Charleston or an afternoon at the beach was something to look forward to.

Exceptional Rental!

As prior reviews have detailed, the condo was super! Clean, comfortable and quite large. As the owner sometimes uses the condo herself, it is furnished comfortably. The kitchen and washrooms are upgraded and incredible! Wild Dunes is a quiet gated community. The beach is a 5 minute walk from the condo. There are plenty of people out walking, biking, golfing and playing tennis within the community. Shopping and groceries are a 5 minute drive; and 20 minutes or so to Charleston. I would definitely stay at this location again and would recommend it to anyone looking to rent a condo at the beach.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Owner response: While we make every effort to provide a comfortable vacation dwelling, we also much appreciate the care our guests give our home. This new friend came to us from Canada and stayed a month. Hopefully we'll have her again sometime. Choosing a vacation rental is not an easy task with so many available. We are happy that so many new friends have chosen our villa and so many return.

Left on 10/09/2012 for a stay in October 2012 You won't be disappointed if you choose this condo. It is clean as a whistle, delightfully decorated, and quite comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and more. The sheets and towels are deluxe and the king-sized bed is oh-so-comfortable. The location is quiet and the beach is a short walk away. The pool is right outside the condo. We are retired, so the location and size fit our needs. When our son and his family came for the week-end, they loved it too. It's a short drive into Charleston if you need to shop or sightsee. The owner is a joy to work with.

Great location. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Short walk to the beach, but very enjoyable with nice walkways and boardwalk. Perfect for our first vacation with baby. We had a wonderful stay at the villa. It was perfect for family of 4 and it had a great floor plan. We all enjoyed our time there immensely. It had everything you could need to feel at home and Cathey went out of her way to be be helpful. The king size bed was super comfy and you could start biking or running right from the front door. Thank you so much!

We have stayed here in the past and always find everything in perfect order. It is fully stocked and a very comfortable, clean place to stay and enjoy some family time. The location is perfect! It is just minutes from the beach and perfect for riding our bikes. We enjoy walking every morning and evening! Can't wait to go back next year!

Thanks for the use of your beautiful condo! We found everything we needed, the place was clean and decorated tastfully. It was a short bike ride to the beach and the pool was refreshing to go in every afternoon. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well every night.The owner was very sweet to answer any questions we had and personally worked with us. I would recommend this condo as it is the nicest place for an amazing price! ----Josie

We spent a perfect week in a perfect condo! Highly recommend this unit. Clean, has everything you need. Everything is accessible by walking. Bike rentals are cheap and are fun to see the entire resort - also to ride on the beach! This is our second time to Wild Dunes but first time at this condo. It was just the right size for our family of four. All you need to bring is general groceries from the Piggly Wiggly!

Cathey, just wanted to say thanks and that we just got back from our stay at Wild Dunes and your condo in Lagoon Villas, and I already miss it. The condo was very nice and everybody in the family enjoyed the trip and stay immensely. Wild Dunes is a wonderful resort for a family vacation and is as beautiful and clean as any I have ever stayed at. We absolutely loved everything about the Charleston area and the surrounding Islands. I would recommend it to all my friends and anyone interested in a fabulous vacation. This is our second time to Wild Dunes and this property is much nicer than Seascape which was right on the beach. It was nice being able to have the teenagers in one side of the unit at night. We rented bikes for them so we only saw them at dinner. It is noce to have the private pool which is only accesable to guests at The Lagoon Villa complex. Cathey even checked on us upon arrival and was very prompt in answering any questions prior to our arrival. The walk is about ten minutes to the beach which is nice and the unit is fully equipped with adequate lighting and HVAC units. See ya next summer Cathey!

We loved the villa. It was very clean and was so nice to not have to go out and buy soap, trash bags, washing detergent, etc as we have had to in the past at other places we have stayed in. We normally like staying right on the beach but it was not a bad walk at all to the beach - gave us some exercise after all the good food we ate all week! Very conveniently located to all we did - we went into Charleston several days and it was just a 20 minute or so drive. We will definately look up Cathey again if we come back to the Charleston area - which I'm sure we will. It's a beautiful area with so much history and so much to do! Thank you Cathey for the use of your wonderful villa!

We had a fantastic stay the week of July 2nd. A perfect week to be at the beach. My husband, 2 children and I had a great time. The condo was perfect. It had everything we needed. Close to the beach and the kids loved the pool which is located a few steps away from the condo. All the comforts of home, wrapped in a beach vacation. My husband and I, plus daughter and 2 grandchildren (ages 8 &4) just spent a week in this great villa. Even better then described!! We all enjoyed the beach, which was a short walk. The pool we also used often and was great. Beds were so comfortable, kitchen and great room beautiful. Cooked several times and kitchen had all the items I needed. We are already talking about going back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was exceptionally clean and had well appointed kitchen. Soaps and shampoos provided were a nice personal touch. Cathy was very informative about the area and easy to contact. Very close to community pool. Easy walk to beach and pavilion. Location was wonderful, close to grocery stores, shopping and marina. Quick trip to Charleston. Excellent meal at Boathouse. Watch sunset at marina restaurant and have great appetizers. This was our first trip to South Carolina and we loved it. Convenient, relaxing, so much to do and see.

Thoroughly enjoyed my second visit to Charleston, the Isle of Palms and this lovely Lagoon Villa. It feels like home the moment you enter with a cozy decor and wonderful floor plan that provides plenty of privacy for couples, families or friends. The kitchen is well equipped and the new bathrooms are beautiful - my sister and I loved having our own space. We enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the pool and appreciated the quiet location away from any traffic. You can walk to the beach, shops, golf courses and restaurants in just minutes and we rented bikes (just a block away) to ride on the miles of community trails and along the fabulous beach. With a car, the sites and shopping of Charleston are easy to access. I can't say enough about the charms of just walking around the old city and soaking up the stunning architecture and beautiful gardens - history comes alive. We spent almost a full day at Boone Hall plantation and had way too much fun at the Mount Pleasant Shopping Centre. There is so much to see and do... I will definitely be back again!

This was our 3rd.stay at 14 lagoon villas and we enjoy it more each time. We hope to return for number 4 next spring. It is such a nice cozy condo and very well appointed with what ever you may need. The entire Wild Dunes and Isle of Palms area is just wonderful.We have never had the slightest problem what so ever. From the time we make our reservations til the time we check out, every thing is great. We are so pleased and lucky to have found this condo.

We have stayed at Wild Dunes Resort many times over the last 11 years and by far this unit was the best. We loved our stay so much that we have booked it for next March. Cathey works very hard to make sure that everything is clean and well maintained. It is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything needed to make it a home. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Classy and Comfortable Villa

My husband and I stayed at this villa during January and February 2011. We loved the layout with a bedroom and bathroom that could be closed off on each side. The villa was beautifully furnished and very clean. The king-size bed in the MBR was so comfortable that it was hard to get up in the morning! Most of all, we appreciated the owner's efforts to quickly answer our questions and address all of our needs. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and hope to return in the future.

Comfortable and Spacious

The condo was perfect for us (family of 3). Plenty of space, very comfortable, and well-appointed. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Very convenient to the pool and activities around Wild Dunes, i.e., easy walk to bike rental & village with deli/store, restaurant, spa, etc. We spent a lot of time at the pool and son played with other kids there. Lots of fun activities at the resort day & night. Only issue is their not having parking at any beach access (be prepared to carry all your gear 300+ yards and/or rent their chairs & umbrellas). The beaches are wonderful, very broad and clean. We enjoyed it much.

Perfect Vacation Home

This was a great rental for us and our two teenagers. The location is perfect with plenty to do. The boys discovered crabbing at the marina the last couple days and wished they had discovered it earlier. We cooked a lot of the fish and blue crab we had caught there during a couple charter trips and it ended up being the best meals in Charleston. The home was very cozy and had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. Thanks so much for allowing us to enjoy Charleston there. Everything was exactly as described and we will stay again the next visit to Charleston!

This Villa is all that is advertised. It is well furnished, has great layout and is a short walk to the beach. The check-in /check-out process was simple, and Cathey followed up with us during our stay to ensure we had no problems We have vacationed at several spots near the beach in both South and North Carolina and decided we like Wild Dunes and it's close proximity to Charleston the best. We would definitely recommend this villa to friends and family

We just enjoyed a second visit to this lovely and comfortable, well appointed villa. Upon arrival the unit was very clean and ready for us to start our vacation! The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook and bake during our stay. The laundry area off of the kitchen was a nice addition and allowed us to keep those beach towels clean! We found the King size bed in the large master bedroom suite to be as comfortable as our bed at home and the second bedroom, with the two full beds and private bath, worked perfectly for our daughter and her family. The location of the villa is ideal since it is close enough to walk to the beach and center of activities but is private enough to enjoy a quiet and relaxing get-away. We loved it!

We love the entire Charleston area, especially Isle of Palms/Wild Dunes. Our stay at this villa this year was just as wonderful as last year (and hopefully 2011). This villa is so very nice and cozy! The kitchen has most anything you would need if you are cooking in, although there are some great restaurants in the Isle of Palms & Sullivan's Island area. Loved this super comfortable 2 bdr. condo within a 10 minute walk of the beautiful Isle of Palms beach. The king-sized bed was as comfy as our own bed, and the bedrooms were spacious, and well appointed. Of all the Wild Dunes beach properties that my family and I have visited, this one at Lagoon Villas is one of the nicest! It is beautifully decorated, and very comfortable and cozy. The owners have thought of everything you might need as far as in the kitchen and for being entertained. This villa overlooks the pool and is within walking distance to the beach, tennis courts, and bike rentals. Lagoon Villas is a very quiet and peaceful place to be in Wild Dunes. My family and I will definitely be making a return visit sometime in the near future!

"From the moment we opened the door, we knew we were in a lovely, comfortable 'house'. You have made your holiday home very welcoming after such a long trip from England. Great kitchen, white fluffy towels and clean. Thank you, we hoe to return.

Hi Cathey, Happy New Year! I hope you and your family had a great holiday season. This is a long over-due note to tell you how much we enjoyed our visit to Isle of Palms/Charleston in early December. Your villa is lovely and very warm and inviting. It was nice to have such a comfortable place to come "home" to after many long days of sightseeing, etc. You've done a great job with the decor, and we certainly appreciated the quality of, well....everything! We hope to have a chance to stay with you again.

This condo was lovely. We would definitely stay here again. Wild Dunes is a great vacation destination. The location of this condo within Wild Dunes was great...close to tennis, heated pool, boardwalk and beach. Condo was very up-to-date. Would highly recommend.

Our whole family had a wonderful time and felt right at home in the villa. We have been home two months now, and every week or so one of the children asks when we are returning. It's a truly great place!

From the moment we entered the villa we knew we had chosen the perfect vacation place. Loved the beautiful and very colorful decor. Great layout of the rooms. Did not want for anything here. Our daughter loved being a hop, skip, and a jump away from the pool. That was a real treat! Cathy thoughtfully checked to see if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a fabulous getaway!

We loved this condo. Caring owner provides a great value for guests. Ideal location next to shops, fitness center, tennis courts, and beach. We liked to enjoy the island during the morning/night while sometimes driving to historic Charleston in the afternoon. Thanks !

We absolutely loved this cozy villa. Cathey thought of everything we could possibly have needed. The location is perfect, with easy access to the beach (just a short 5 minute walk). We hope to stay here again in the future and would highly recommend this villa to friends and family.

Lovely condo which was well equipped. Within walking distance to the "business district and hotel at Wild Dunes". We would stay there again without a moments hesitancy.

"This has been the best vacation ever! Everything came together ... the weather, the accommodations, the dining, the adventures. The villa was more than we expected-very comfortable, felt like home. Our kids (4&8) named the villa 'Emilee'. Thank you."
