  This house was in a great location, away from the crowds but with easy access to Myrtle Beach and Pawley's Island. Also took a day trip to Charleston. We had great views of the beach which was just across the street. We were there the week of Thanksgiving and the kitchen included everything we needed to prepare a feast. The rooms were not huge but were very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

  Our family had a wonderful time here. The house was beautifully decorated and clean with all the conveniences of home -- plus an ocean in plain view! We appreciated the minute walk to the beach and all the beach supplies the house provided (boogie boards, sand pails, chairs, etc.). We would love to stay here again.

  Our family just returned & we only have excellent things to say about Portobello II and the owners. They are such wonderful people to deal with and the house was just as pictured when we got there! No more packing up the car with all our beach "stuff" & driving to the beach - just carried it across the street. Wonderful to be able to hear & see the sounds of the sea. Went to Pawley's Island and ate at the PIT as well as Dagwoods - recommendations from the owners & loved them both. Did our usual Inlet trips to Wahoos and Babas -- love the music and lights at night. So nice to be able to sit on their large decks & people/fireworks watch when we just wanted to relax, read or have a drink and listen to music. Now that we've found this place we hope to return for many more memorable vacations here. This place has our highest recommendations so far -- could not find a single thing we did not like & it was so nice to deal with such a nice couple.

  We just returned from Portibello 2 in Garden City Beach and had a great time. The owners - David and Sanna were outstanding hosts. They met us at the house during check-in to welcome us and give us tips on local hotspots to hit and to tell us how to avoid the traffic which can be pretty intense in the area during peak season. All of the recommendations they gave us for where to eat and enjoy a cocktail were right on. We especially enjoyed Happy Hour at Quigley's and the food at Dagwoods Sandwich Shop. The house is very comfortable for a party of six and if you have kids, one or two could sleep on the full size futon to handle a party as large as 8. The home is well done with hardwood floors throughout, covered by stylish rugs. The beds are very comfortable and you have a full size washer and dryer so you can pack light and re-wear your clothes during the week. The location of the house is terrific - right across the street from the beach. No need for golf carts or driving once you get here. Just stock up your supplies at the beginning of the week and enjoy all the house, the beach and the area have to offer. The shared pool was generally empty and was a great place to cool down after battling the waves in the Atlantic. Murrell's Inlet just a couple miles down the road was very fun with the Marsh Walk, live bands, bars and restaurants. We took an airboat ride which was a blast and even parasailed for the first time which was very nice. I can't say enough about the owners of the home. They were available as needed to make sure we were having a great time but were never intrusive. We even had one of the glider chairs break one night and while I was out with my wife and daughter doing some shopping the next morning, David had already come and gotten the broken chair and returned with it repaired before I even got back to the house! We will definitely return to this house if ever vacationing in the area again.

  WOW!!! Our family had so much fun at this beautiful house the week of the 4th. We are already so sad we had to leave and are ready to go back already. The location and view couldn't have gotten any better. Our family always goes to Myrtle Beach and we normally stay at a condo, so this was our first time renting a house, and it was beyond our expectations! The home owners are such a nice couple. They go beyond anyone I have ever seen to make sure you are comfortable your whole stay, and there is no need to bring any appliances with you because they have EVERYTHING you need there. The beds are so comfortable, I wish we could have taken that back with us!!! The walk to the beach is only a few steps away! We also got to take family portaits on the beach, and it was such a beautiful spot. David, the homeowner also mentioned the firework show is great to watch from the deck, so we got to see like 4 or 5 firework shows going on at the same time. We could even see the one going on down in Surfside...It was AMAZING! We had five kids with us ranging from ages 9 years old to 8 months old and they all had so much fun!!! Even our little dog had the time of his life. We look forward to coming back to this same house in the future!!!

  This is our first experience renting from VRBO - we usually rent from a realty company each summer in the Outer Banks, NC or in the Isle of Palms, SC. We were a little uncertain about renting directly from a property owner, but our anxiety was quickly subdued upon arrival to the Portobello II. The house was just as it was pictured on the website, and was in a clean and inviting state upon arrival. The keyless entry was so much more convenient than stopping at a rental office to pick up a key. We travelled with two children (20 months and 3 years), and the home was everything that we could have asked for in a vacation rental. The owner, David, has another place a block away, and came by to introduce himself and to check up on things at the beginning of the week. We had a little trouble on our last day with the AC, but David was quick to respond, and resolved the issue immediately. Otherwise, the home met all of our vacation needs. The beach was directly across the street, which made it very convenient in terms of carrying our gear and the kids to and from the house. All of the rooms were tastefully appointed and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable, and we were able to add a rental crib for our youngest child. All of the appliances were in working order, and many extra items (dishsoap, cleaning supplies, utensils, dishes, handsoaps, toilet tissue, etc.) were readily available upon arrival. Even though the pool is a community pool, we found that it was quiet and clean, and we usually had the pool to ourselves. The front porch was a great place to hang out during the heat of the day and during the evening hours. We enjoyed the oceanview and did a little people-watching as well. There were plenty of activities close by, but we really just came down to enjoy as much of the beach and family time as possible. David and Sanna gave us a great dinner recommendation on the last night of our stay as well (Louis' at Sanford in Litchfield). We will definitely be making a return visit soon!

  We had a wonderful week. The home is clean, comfortable, and is close to the beach. We enjoyed seafood at the Marsh Walk and shopping at the outlet mall. The pool was nice and not crowded.

  We were so thrilled when we opened the door to begin our stay at your beautiful house! The house was decorated so tastefully, and the online description and pictures were "right on" with what we found. We have stayed at various condos and houses in the Garden City Beach area, and this home is The Best! We were able to meet the owner, and he is just as nice in person as he was with our online communication. The best part for us was being able to take our sweet dog with us! We made sweet memories at this house.

  The place was beautiful, the ocean views were unbelievable from the living room and deck on the main level and the two king size bedrooms and their deck on the second floor. We loved how you decorated the place. It had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the beach including beach chairs and umbrella, and access to the beach was so easy. Basically we set-up chairs and umbrella about every day, and just went back and forth to the beach whenever we wanted. The kitchen had all the essentials to enjoy cooking-in on mornings and nights we didn't go out to eat, but there were plenty of great places to eat out any time we wanted. Two weeks gave us time to enjoy the beach and also drive around to enjoy everything else available between Myrtle and Georgetown. Great fresh seafood markets in Murrels Inlet, and even played golf at Indian Wells which was a nice course on the Garden City Connector. Thank you for such a great place, and it was so nice to meet both you and Sanna while we were there. Definitely coming back.
