This island home was originally built in the early 1800s by the Carver Family. It was purchased by our family in 1965. It has many warm personal touches and offers all the amenities. You will enjoy all the local flavors of Vinalhaven as it is home to the largest lobster fishing fleet in Maine. Go down to the wharf and watch as the lobstermen and women return from hauling all day bringing their catch to market. This is a perfect place to relax and escape the worries of your busy life. If you so desire you can drive to the north end of the island to the Fox Island Thoroughfare and take a short boat ride to North Haven and enjoy a round of golf on one of the most beautiful nine-hole courses in Maine.

On Vinalhaven, in the early 1900s, they used to quarry granite off the island and these quarries have filled with fresh water and are great for swimming or just soaking up the sun on the granite ledges.
