I have never done an "Upcountry" experience on Maui before and I have to say that it was amazing. I loved the peace and quiet this property had to offer. Ray & Barbara (caretakers) were very thoughtful and respected our privacy at all times. I loved waking up & seeing the cows in the field next door and the spectacular view of the island. Before deciding our day's activity, we would look out and see which side of the island had the best weather! Who needs a "weatherman" when you can just look outside and see it all yourself?! If you are looking for a place to get away from the fast-paced, tourist/resort atmosphere, this is your place! (and if you want a little of the fast-paced action, it's just a short drive away!!)
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+.
