  We had a wonderful stay at Mission Beach!! We will have to go again and again just to finish our hope to do list! The Sand Castle at 726 Dover Ct. was the perfect spot for our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children). We were excited to be the first to use the new napping cave (bunk beds) that were finished on our second day there! We loved being just off the beach and enjoyed going everyday! The beach is a short walk down a quiet walkway! We loved all the amenities that the house had to offer! A king sized bed in each room plus the futon in the living room and the awesome napping cave, made for plenty of room to relax! The kitchen is great all up to date and had all the items we needed! The owners were wonderful, they even brought over plastic plates, cups, and bowls for the kids to use!! Curt was fun to visit with while he finished the bunk beds! Curt, Sharon, and Kristin were all great and easy to contact and talk to! All very nice! They had just put in a brand new flat screen also! We used the patio area daily, it was so nice for the kids to be outside right there while I made lunch and dinner! The only down was that we didn't get to stay longer! Thanks for a wonderful fun filled stay!!!

  Great location close to the beach and Belmont Park. All people - owner, R.E. rep, cleaning woman - very nice to work with. We also appreciated having two baths. However, the place needs attention. Furnishings such as bedroom curtains, chair cushions, beach chairs/towels and the like are in poor shape. Basic items - teaspoons, toilet paper, etc. - are in short supply. The entertainment center is out of date and in marginal working order. WiFi is flaky. The bar-b-q is dirty and not in full working order. I hope you get the picture: this is a nice place that has been neglected. I spoke via email with the owners. They listened and are committed to bringing the unit back into good shape. If they follow through, I would recommend staying here.

  I traveled with several of my girlfriends and we had an amazing trip made even better by this house. The patio was wonderful, we were able to enjoy the sun on days when the beach was too windy. The house was incredibly clean and having in unit washing machines and dryers was very convenient. The owners responded quickly when we had questions about wifi. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great beach getaway.

  We loved this condo, especially the location and the decor. It's so close to the beach and decorated absolutedly adorably. The only thing I'll say is that it was NOT clean. I found an old toothbrush in the bathroom, hair and hair product in the shower, and the floor was covered in sand. The windows were also very dirty. I would've rather not paid to have it cleaned and just cleaned it myself which is what I had to do anyways. Like I said it's a great location and adorable, I think the owners just need to use a different service to clean. I would stay here again.

  My kids and I had an amazing time on Dover Court!! Love the large patio that this property has to offer! What a wonderful treat to stay here and be just steps from the ocean! Can't wait to vacation here again!!

  We have stayed at this same beach house for two summers, and we plan on coming back again and again! The property is in a fabulous location, and the house itself is neat and clean, and adorably decorated! It had plenty of room for our family of four. The patio is spacious, and easily accommodated the many friends and family that came to visit and BBQ with us during our week-long stay. In fact, most of our guests asked us how we found such a GREAT place! If you're going to San Diego, and want a great place to stay just steps from the beach...look no further. You've just found it! Have fun!

  I so enjoyed being so close the the Boardwalk and the beach! Loved the Patio!!! Will book again real soon!

  Very close to the beach, nice kitchen and master bath and master have been redone But the big bummer was the patio looked nothing like the picture!! It was rundown rusted furniture, the grill was so dirty it was unusable, and the patio door had masking tape on it because of a tear. The windows were very dirty like another review said Also the washer in the unit didn't work like expected just the dryer. They had another washer by the garage to use that was just a pain!! Would have been nice to know before we rented the place!!

  We had a great time during our stay! We arrived to find a clean and well-appointed condo that is in a perfect location. A few yards off the back patio and you are literally standing on the beach. The kitchen and master bath are recently updated and are very nice. The electronics and rest of the decor are a bit outdated, but for the price you can't beat it! The owner and her assistant were so accommodating and returned emails immediately. The house is perfect for young families. You can walk in the front door from the beach and there is a door that leads straight to the laundry and bathroom to clean off all the sand! There were extra beach towels and beach toys available. The only odd thing we encountered was there were no light bulbs in any of the lamps and no batteries in any of the remote controls, but wasn't worth complaining to the owner about because we spent most of our time outside! Ignore previous negative reviews. This place is great and clean!

  Stayed here in May for 3 days. Very nice updated kitchen and most furniture is fairly new, BUT, overall condition of house is very dirty! The window sills and screens so dirty I was uncomfortable leaving the windows open to circulate the air. We had to wash the dishes and silver ware before using. Could not use the patio or BBQ do to all of it being so dirty and rusty. The garage side door fell off the hinges while we were parked in the drive way and it almost hit our car. This could be a great place as the location is wonderful and the beach is just steps away, but until it is cleaned and made presentable, I cannot recommend staying there. Also,I did call 3 times to 3 different phone numbers the day before arriving at the rental, as I misplaced the code to enter the place and I DID NOT get a call back! ( the other couple we were staying with had the code !!!)

  Owner response: The place is very clean, but we did have to speak to the maids about the window sills and give them a warning that if they wanted to keep our account they better do a better job of checking the details. We also remodeled since this person stayed with us and it is greatly improved now. New east bedroom now has new paint and bamboo wall with new carpet too.
