Enjoy the Hamlin Creek views and your own dock. You have full use of your own private dock to ski, wakeboard, fish, swim, crab, or relax in the sun and watch the sunset. You can explore the creeks of Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island or adventure out to the Charleston Harbor and see Charleston by boat. There are many wonderful restaurants available by boat. The dock has three feet of deep water at all times.
In just a two-minute walk you can be swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, sunbathing, or walking the beach. We are within walking distance to the Isle of Palms front beach district, where you can shop, dine in one of several restaurants, or spend the evening listening to local musicians play in numerous restaurants and bars.
With four bedrooms and two bathrooms, the house can accommodate eight adults comfortably. The master bedroom and bath are upstairs with a queen-size bed. Downstairs holds one bedroom with a double-size bed, one bedroom with twin beds, and the third bedroom has a day bed with a trundle that can either be two singles or one king-size bed.
There are 5 flat screen TV's for your enjoyment.
You can spend your time in the comfortable surroundings inside the house, with beautiful views of Hamlin Creek. The house has two dens, a dining table that seats eight, with a kitchen that is fully stocked with all necessary cooking utensils and a bar that seats four. You can sit on the couch in the main den and watch egrets and other wildlife as they explore the marsh.
You can relax while sitting on the widow's walk on top of the house, feeling the ocean breeze and watching a gorgeous sunset over the marsh. You can also enjoy the back yard by grilling out, eating on the back porch or playing a game of Bocci Ball. It is completely fenced for your pet's safety.

We are returning guests of Dar's (we have rented it before and both our families have to). It has been our perfect little place on Isle of Palms for 4 years now. We have spent so much time in this house with different family configurations and it has been such a blessing because of the proximity to the beach (5 min walk from door to sand), convenience to "downtown" and the fantastic views of the intercostal.... Oh the views! The house is always clean and has a nice set up for entertaining with a breakfast bar overlooking the open living area. There is plenty of seating with an additional living space and dining area. The fence- in backyard is totally secure and tested by our escape artist of a beagle. The dock across the street is our favorite place to grab a beer and put a line in the water at sundown. There is, also, an awesome widows peak on the roof that has great views of the intercostal and a clear, starry night. This is definitely a fantastic property to rent on IOP.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful time at this house. We brought our boat and kept it in the water down at the dock. We were able to keep our trailer at the house. We loved spending happy hours down on the dock watching the beautiful sunsets. The house was nice and roomy, very clean, comfortable and beachy. We were close enough to walk to the beach or the shops and restuarants. Our dogs loved the fenced back yard, the back porch and the walks on the beach. We would definitely recommend it and can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house itself was nice And clean but we felt the description of the creek views and the location of the dock were somewhat misleading. Hamlin creek is on the other side of Palm Boulevard which means you have to cross the street to get to the boat dock. Which is very dangerous considering the amount of traffic on Palm blvd. The views of the creek are from the front of the house or from the widows peak and are gorgeous but you are also looking at all the cars zooming by all the time! The pictures on VRBO of the dock from the house do not show the road. If they had we would not have been so surprised. Also, the dock is very long and has no railings which is unsafe. For those of you who will not being using the dock very much this is a great house. For those of you who will these things may be an issue. Other than the problem with the location of the dock and the misleading views of the creek this is a good rental. It is close to the beach and within walking distance of the stores and bars. Overall our dog had a great time and so did we!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners.

My husband and I have stayed at this property several times and for extended stays. We can't say enough about how fantastic it is ! The location is perfect. The house has amazing views of Hamlin Creek (from the living room, kitchen and your own dock). The sunsets are the best. It is only two blocks to the beach and in a quiet end of the island. While it is quiet at the house, you are within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. The house is clean and recently updated with granite countertops and a beachy feel. We spend most of our time in the screened in porch over looking the large fenced in back yard. Our dogs love the doggy door in the porch. When our kids come to visit they enjoy sitting up on the widow's peek stealing a glimpse of the ocean. Morgan Creek Grill is a short drive and serves fantastic food and offers great views of the marina and Goat Island. The owner of the house, Dar, makes you feel as though you are family coming for a visit. She makes sure all your questions are answered, makes suggestions for dining, fishing, anything you request. She is always available, should you need anything or just have a simple question. When one of our dogs was sick, she helped us locate a vet. She is the definition of "southern hospitality". I would highly recommend this property to anyone; families, couples or singles, this place has it all !Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was the 2nd time we have enjoyed this location. The 1st time we visited the Isle of Palms was with our oldest daughter and her boyfriend. The experience was so overwhelming we knew we would come back and stay in this house again. The house provides a great atmosphere for all families because there are areas for each family to have their own space. You could not beat the great idea of having a door and porch that lead to the back yard from the upstairs bedroom. This allows whomever sleeps in this area to have quick and private access to the back yard area with their dog without disturbing anyone else in the house. As we all know, when you go on vacation with anyone the last thing you want to worry about is waking anyone up in the middle of the night because you have to go outside. We had a couple come join us in the middle of the week for their 1st ever visit to the Charleston area. We put them in the seperate living area off the kitchen. They loved their visit so much that they want to consider scheduling a vacation in this home also. I would give this location an a+ for anyone who wants to be close to back water fishing but also close to a beach where your dogs are welcome.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
