Fantastic Beach House

Guest: Anonymous
Date of Stay: 10/15/10 Review Submitted: 02/06/11

My husband and I have stayed at this property several times and for extended stays. We can't say enough about how fantastic it is ! The location is perfect. The house has amazing views of Hamlin Creek (from the living room, kitchen and your own dock). The sunsets are the best. It is only two blocks to the beach and in a quiet end of the island. While it is quiet at the house, you are within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. The house is clean and recently updated with granite countertops and a beachy feel. We spend most of our time in the screened in porch over looking the large fenced in back yard. Our dogs love the doggy door in the porch. When our kids come to visit they enjoy sitting up on the widow's peek stealing a glimpse of the ocean. Morgan Creek Grill is a short drive and serves fantastic food and offers great views of the marina and Goat Island. The owner of the house, Dar, makes you feel as though you are family coming for a visit. She makes sure all your questions are answered, makes suggestions for dining, fishing, anything you request. She is always available, should you need anything or just have a simple question. When one of our dogs was sick, she helped us locate a vet. She is the definition of "southern hospitality". I would highly recommend this property to anyone; families, couples or singles, this place has it all !

2nd Timers

Guest: Rick (Horse Shoe, N.C.)
Date of Stay: 09/20/10 Review Submitted: 10/17/10

This was the 2nd time we have enjoyed this location. The 1st time we visited the Isle of Palms was with our oldest daughter and her boyfriend. The experience was so overwhelming we knew we would come back and stay in this house again. The house provides a great atmosphere for all families because there are areas for each family to have their own space. You could not beat the great idea of having a door and porch that lead to the back yard from the upstairs bedroom. This allows whomever sleeps in this area to have quick and private access to the back yard area with their dog without disturbing anyone else in the house. As we all know, when you go on vacation with anyone the last thing you want to worry about is waking anyone up in the middle of the night because you have to go outside. We had a couple come join us in the middle of the week for their 1st ever visit to the Charleston area. We put them in the seperate living area off the kitchen. They loved their visit so much that they want to consider scheduling a vacation in this home also. I would give this location an a+ for anyone who wants to be close to back water fishing but also close to a beach where your dogs are welcome.
