Welcome to Oakwood Cottage in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Oakwood Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom, sleeps 6-8, no smoking cottage with private waterfront - great for swimming, fishing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking and relaxing!
Across a one and a half lane (25 mph) service road is 66 feet of wade-in lake frontage. The lakeside deck is equipped with picnic table and lounge chairs. A Sunfish sailboat, kayak and canoe are available for your use, as is a swim platform located offshore. A 52 feet long permanent dock, equipped with boat cleats and mooring whip, is available for your boat (up to 26 feet). You can also enjoy roasting marshmallows and watching beautiful sunsets over Bluff Point while relaxing around the lakeside fire ring.
The inside of the cottage has been recently redecorated with new furniture and appliances. The eat-in kitchen offers a lakeside view and includes a 21 cubic feet refrigerator/freezer, oven/range with ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, service for 12 and a food pantry. Directly off the kitchen is a large covered deck with a gas grill, charcoal grill, picnic table and chairs.
The living room includes a queen-size sleeper sofa, swivel rockers, 32 inch TV with standard cable package and a DVD/VCR player. Off the living room and facing lakeside is a screened sun porch equipped with rattan loveseat and chairs and a table with chairs.
The master bedroom features a cedar cathedral ceiling with French doors that open to a private deck facing lakeside. Master bedroom amenities include a queen-size bed and a half bath. There are two smaller bedrooms located off the living room, one with a queen-size bed, the other with a full-size bed. The full bath is located off the kitchen and features a tub/shower combination.
All bedrooms, living room and kitchen are equipped with ceiling fans.
As is typical for properties located across the street from the lake, there are 24 steps between the cottage and the service road, and there are 26 steps between the service road and the waterfront area. |
