Ibis Landing Beach House...Directly on the Beach!

  Looking for an escape from the cold Pennsylvania winter, we lucked out with Ibis Landing. I knew from the first email from Angie that I had located the perfect location to veg out with the family and do absolutely nothing...or fish, snorkel, laze in the sun with a good book. The house was immaculate and well furnished...the location perfect...the sunsets gorgeous! The layout was perfect for our family of five...a really great house. The master suite had a great shower) and the other two bedrooms work perfectly for a three generation family. A steaming cup of coffee in the morning overlooking the gulf was bliss. We even made arepas...our first ever. Thanks to our hosts for a wonderful time.

  This is a gorgeous vacation spot! The house was exactly as the pictures show, everything was very nice and well taken care of. The owners were fabulous to work with and our family loved it. The kids really enjoyed exploring and finding all kinds of cool sealife - including dolphins, starfish, jelly fish, lots of birds and some sort of ray. We spent a lot of time fishing, picking up shells and shark teeth, building sandcastles and playing games on the beach. There would be a few people on the beach at times, but overall we felt very much that it was "ours"!! It was incredibly relaxing and beautiful - we'd love to go back.

  Everything about this property was PERFECT! The pictures don't do it justice. We were looking for a simple, true beach adventure...and this house was exactly what we were looking for...and more!! We were 4 adults and 2 children, (ages 7 and 11.) At first I thought maybe the kids may get a bit bored being on a beach all day, but there seemed to be endless things for them to do. They looked for shark teeth on the beach, (and found TONS) they collected beautiful shells, snorkled, went swimming, flew kites, built sandcastles, and SO much more! Also, they seemed to enjoy searching for the dolphins that would swim by daily. (we had contests to see who would spot them first.) The house was immaculate in every way! Every room was spotless...and gorgeous!! The second we walked through the door and saw the ocean through the sliding glass doors, we knew we picked the RIGHT HOUSE! We stocked up on our groceries at the local supermarket before coming across on the ferry. After that, there really was no need to leave the island. (I don't think you'd want to leave anyway.) We rented a golf cart for the week, (which btw was one of my favorite things about the trip.) Sometimes we would just hop in the cart and go exploring! It was SO fun riding around the island, exploring the different paths and seeing the amazing sights. The WHOLE island is truly beautiful. Everyone we met on the island, (including the neighbors) were extremely friendly and helpful. I really fell in love with this place...and it was very sad to leave. Trust me, you would never be dissappointed with this property. Everyone in our party of 6 had a blast!

  Blood pressure drops on the ferry. Gorgeous house, unbeatable view, friendly locals, beautiful uncluttered beach. What more could you want. Whole family loved our stay. Will likely return. Will definitely recommend to others. House was comfortable, well appointed, and better than the pictures. Golf cart trip to the north end of the island for ice cream, coffee, or lunch was always a hit with the kids. No negatives to report. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

  A week in this house and on this island does wonderful things for your mind and soul. We've stayed at Ibis Landing several times and hope to add to that count. It's what a beach house should be and is a pleasure to stay there. The owners are great people who seem to really care about your experience. The resort at the end of the island offers a small store, bar and restaurant. Non-holiday weeks are quiet and almost private.

  We found it! A beautiful house...on the beach...and not crowded. What a relaxing week. It was just us and the beach. The house is very clean and wonderfully furnished. Master bedroom has a sliding glass door with an ocean front view. We played board games in the evening on the screened in back deck. We rented a golf cart for the week from Palm Island Resort to explore the island and to make many trips to get ice cream! Thank you for renting and sharing your house. What a great vacation.

  Just back from out 6th stay at this gorgeous place. When we want to escape, regroup, relax and enjoy the most amazing sunsets on the planet, this is the place to be. This house is what a beach home should feel... comfortable, classy, beautiful.

  This is our 4th time to Don Pedro Island and our 2nd time renting Ibis. This is a property I would continue to rent. The owner's are the most helpful and considerate that I have ever worked with and we have been using VRBO for over 15 years. They have the perfect location to the beach, the house has every appliance and amenity you would need on vacation. Plenty of entertainment from dvd's, books, sand toys etc. I think the only thing you would need is your clothes, food and personal items. I would & have recommended this property to others. Perfect place to get away from the crowds and a true place for rest and relaxation. If you want to get away from it all - this is it!

  I stayed at Ibis Landing with my two daughters and my sister and her husband and two kids. We had more than enough room for everyone and the bedrooms have slide open doors with screens to lay in bed and listen to the ocean waves. We had the most relaxing, wonderful week imaginable. The kids never once even asked to go anywhere else. We brought our groceries and just enjoyed the family and the scenery for the week. I can't explain the beauty of the sunsets or what it was like to watch dolphins jumping every morning and every evening. We saw sea gulls, tortoise, a mannatee!, many ibis birds, and lots of dolphins. The fact that the beach was all ours to use and miles of sand to explore made it just perfectly private enough, but others around for conversation at times. The kids collected shells and shark teeth all week, and we all swam for hours. When I look at our pictures, I long to go back, and I absolutely will. I did not even see one piece of litter, ANYWHERE on the island for our entire stay. A truly majestic place to enjoy some of the most beautiful natural habitat that exists. When we walked in and saw the view out the back of Ibis Landing, we just couldn't believe it was real and it was ours for the week. It was just THAT great. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back. The house had all the beach chairs and things we needed to enjoy for the week and cook all sorts of meals.
